Haha, I guess they were given the original movie's description. That's funny.

The advertising writes itself. They already have snowy mountain scenes to pull.

Put santa hats on their heads and say "sliding in, just in time for christmas!"

Boom. Easy. Santa on the razor that ****.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) Limited Edition Gift Set includes a highly detailed collectible statue of Raphael, winner of the online contest to become the Amazon exclusive figure. Created using the digital character model that brought Raphael to life in the movie, the figure captures every detail perfectly, from his signature red bandana and sunglasses, to his scaled, muscular body and battle-worn shell. Raphael is posed in a battle-ready stance, with his twin sais outstretched. The figure stands 6.5 inches tall atop a detailed street scene display base, complete with sewer entrance, and spans over 7 inches wide and nearly 5 inches deep. This Raphael statue is a must-have for any TMNT fan, and the perfect addition to any collection.

I just wanna know if there would be an extended cut or some deleted scenes on the DVD.

God I hope so.

Bry 09-25-2014 09:03 PM

And now Guardians of the Galaxy is apparently set for release on the same day. Looks like the little "rivalry" gets a round two? :trazz:

The Boston Ninja Turtle 09-25-2014 09:27 PM

I know which one I'll be skipping on that day

The Stryker 09-25-2014 09:50 PM

Joy of joys. Now we'll get all of the 'expert' dvd sales predictions and analysis.

Yippy Skippy! I'm sure it won't devolve into something else at all!

lets see how long it takes for this thread to get closed because of the 2014 movie haters infecting it. like the Box Office one got closed

Well, it's not that surprising - it's a pretty perfect holiday release date. They could both do good sales.

And my birthday's three days later, so I've already strongly hinted to my wife that a GotG blu-ray would make a great gift. ;)

Would be cool if they did a commercial like with Pizza hut, the Turtles could clean up a store ready for opening or something. Or slide down the mountain to reach the Xmas Coca Cola Truck

massakre 09-26-2014 02:00 PM

Hmm..I'm actually pretty curious to see how their sales turn out.

But I agree, they'll both probably make good money.

THGhost 09-26-2014 05:16 PM

I'll be getting both this and Guardians for Christmas then. :tcool:

raph27 09-26-2014 06:57 PM

It comes out THE SAME DAY as GOTG? Really, guys? Well, I'm buying GOTG on that day for sure but definitely not TMNT.

I'll buy both.

IndigoErth 09-26-2014 07:02 PM

Do DVD/Blu-Ray have spacific release dates like theater releases do or what... (I mean in the sense of like how many hit theaters on a Friday rather than most other days.)

Guardians: I'm coming out on the 9th, too!
TMNT: Really Guardians?
Guardians: I thought what we had was special!

Shark_Blade 09-26-2014 07:07 PM

After the absymal final boss battle dance off and holding hands together like a ****** kiddie saturday morning cartoon fluff, no way I'm getting gotg. And that's just the tip of the iceberg of things I dislike about the movie.

So TMNT all the way.

Slade 09-26-2014 11:20 PM

I thought it still was Tuesdays for the most part.

Same, though to be honest, I would assume Guardians would be out sooner cause it was released in theaters sooner.

Maybe it's the big movies get the Friday before the rest of the movies come out on Tuesdays??

Like some big movies come out earlier in the week to theaters instead of Friday.

Maybe...

I always forget about Disney movies.
I hear ya, I don't feel like checking into it myself right now either. We'll figure it out eventually.

Ridiculous! I demand that all movie villains are defeated in a serious, adult way - falling off a tower after getting a shoe to the face.

From my Blockbuster Video days about 9 years ago, I remember everything usually came out on Tuesdays. I think that's still the case. But there are probably some exceptions - there always are.

TheSkeletonMan939 09-27-2014 09:29 AM

Tuesday is the day things are released, generally. That's because apparently people are more aware of things going on in the world on Tuesday than on Monday.

There are exceptions, like Bry mentioned. The last Harry Potter movie came out on a Friday, which I assume was because the date was 11/11/11.
