Will Shredder remain human?
 

So I've taken notice, Shredder is the only human left in the Foot Clan.

It's funny because tradionally speaking Shredder is usually the one who winds up not human, there's Worm-Shredder, Shark-Shredder, Super-Shredder, Utrom-Shredder, Demon-Shredder, Robot-Shredder, Zombie-Shredder, Iron-Shredder, Dragon-Shredder and Fly-Shredder. There was even a Tricaraton-Shredder planned.

So will he remain human or what?

I'm saying yes. That's more of a hope than anything else, but I'd like to think they'll keep him that way. If anything, I could see him becoming a ghost or something, but even then, he'd still sorta be human.

I'm also leaning towards yes, he will stay human. I can't really see why they'd mutate him. He's already kinda grotesque looking with his scars, burns and all but more importantly, depending on what he'd turn into, just how much stronger would that make him? And besides, I feel with Karai's mutation they already crossed a line.

And honestly, I can't see him being dump enough to fall into a canister of mutagen.

Assuming yes, need him for the human numbers. (Not that us humans are so special that we have to be involved all the time... lol)

Besides, he's such a nutcase it's like he's already mentally mutated. ;)

I hope he becomes mutated honestly, but into an animal or something and not Super Shredder.:)

I honestly don't know. It's possible because this series has only 4 characters (Casey Jones, Irma Langinstein, Kurtzman, and Shredder) that haven't mutated, been mutated, or at least haven't been confirmed to be mutants.

Aside from the "tradition" argument, I think it would make sense for Shredder to get some kind of power boost as it seems like a Skeleton-Wolfman, Venomous Cyborg-Carp and a damn Tiger could easily overthrow him if they so desired.

Good point, although maybe that threat could be part of his storyline sooner or later.

I'm on the fence....I would be totally ok with him not mutating but........let's say maybe he wanted to try mutating with an animal that has regenerative capabilities so he could heal his scars or something. Something tells me Shredder ain't the superficial type though...

A Lizard? He could be like Curt Connors in a samurai helmet.

As For natural enemies of turtles:
An Alligator

Hopefully I'm not alone here, but I actually wouldn't mind seeing him turn into some kind of volatile mutant beast and attack the Turtles in that form. I'm not saying I want that to happen, but I think it'd be cool to see. But will they actually do that to him? I'm guessing no.

I am considering it. Maybe if the kraang gives me some retro mutagen i might mutate and then use it to turn back to human.

Only if it is his final battle with the turtles.

I'm betting he'll either be mutated or brought back from the dead.

I can see him becoming Super Shredder, but I don't think he'll become an animal mutant.

I hope so. Super Shredder would be cool though.

Yeah, he'd be cool alright. I gotta say I also love the idea of an overripe Shredder back from the dead.

Even if whole NYC mutates, I hope Shredder stays human.

Zombie-Shredder? Could be interesting. Vampire Shredder might be better, though. Maybe they could bring in Vam Ni(sp?)? Since they're sort of fond of using obscure characters from the past, having a vampire make an appearance and turn him could be a neat twist.

Yeah! I'd watch that too. Kevin Richardson seems to give Shredder a somewhat sepulchral voice anyway. It might be fun to at least see it as a Dream Beavers sequence.

Shredder needs to be kept human. Leaning a bit towards Super Shredder but no so much into seeing a mutated individual or even a Shredder / Krang hybrid just yet. He should stay as a cold calculating ninja grim reaper and stay shrouded in the shadows as it gives him the most appeal.

Ya know, Dino Shredder from the old Playmates line would be pretty cool...

Honestly, with how crappy Chris and Xever got.... I'm pretty sure Shredder can whup all three including Tiger Claw with minimal effort.

Super Shredder but then cured as a human again like Kirby.

Shredder becoming a Dragon like in the 4kids series could be possible too.

No, the Demon Shredder turned into a dragon, not Ch'rell.

I remember there's so many Shredders, even virtual ones lol wtf. :lol: Would be easy to have one true Shredder like OT and 2k12 Shredder.

I don't think that they have the restraint to not go in that direction.

I wonder how they'd pull that one off though.
It'd be great though if the mutation he gets is used against him or if it's pay back for all he's done.

It is only a matter of time. In the season finale shredder states that he has no love for the human race. I can see them going mutated route when he himself fails to deal with the turtles and splinter.

Well we do see Shredder clutching his shoulder in pain after he tosses Splinter into the drain pipe, so he may have that replaced.

That doesn't make sense though. Just because his shoulder hurts is no reason to just suddenly replace it. Now if his arm were seriously injured beyond the hope of healing, that would make sense.

Anyway, on topic: I think it's definitely a possibility. If we ended up getting an updated, genuinely threating version of Super Shredder that didn't kill itself a few minutes after mutating, that would be pretty cool.

Let's wait and see, there could be more to that shoulder clutch moment then we think. Aside from Splinter and Leatherhead getting in some good hits.
