Will Seth Green stay for the entire run of the show now?

Seth Green is a very popular and busy actor, involved in dozens of projects at any given moment. Do you think he'll stay as Leo for the rest of the shows run?

For all we know the show could have 7-10 total seasons, will he still be around till the end of it?

I'd hate for Leo to have a FOURTH voice change after Biggs, Dom and Seth.

Cure 10-11-2014 09:47 PM

Seth Green isn't some A-list actor, you know. He'll be fine.

CyberCubed 10-11-2014 09:50 PM

Look at his film/TV history, the damn guy is in everything. He's always in more than one show or movie at oncE:

MikeandRaph87 10-11-2014 09:57 PM

There is a difference here. While Seth Green like his predecessor he is somewhat known as an actor, Seth love voice acting and TMNT specifically as he is a comic geek. He may have to do his recordings by remote from time to time I beleive he will stick with it through the final episode. He is much more reliable and likeable so there should be no issues. As far as Dom is concerned I lump him together with the first voice actor as their voices are virtually the same and unfortunately he was just a bridge. Green's Leo sounds quite different and will take some getting used to. I keep thinking in scenes where Leo's without his blue mask that his eyes will bugs out Robot Chicken style.:trazz: If you make a thread about this speculation you may as well edit the original post and make it a poll,Cyber. My bet is the poll will say he will stick with the role all the way to the end of the run.

IndigoErth 10-11-2014 10:46 PM

God I hope so, even if I'm not used to him in the roll yet. Between this and the movie, poor Leo and his voice actor issues... Seth seems to be a sort that handles a full plate pretty well though with having his hands in such a variety of stuff.

I'm just appreciative that his wife is, as an article mentioned, supposedly a Leo fan. Not bad, having some pressure from home. lol

Megchan 10-11-2014 10:53 PM

Yes, Cubed Seth Green is going to stay until the series ends. Just to piss you off. :D

Luckyday 10-11-2014 10:54 PM

Seth as Leo is one of few new things that I feel positive about.

ssjup81 10-11-2014 11:14 PM

I could see him staying on. He's more positive to have around, it seems, and he's a big fan himself. I feel that he'd make time for this whenever possible...and his wife is a huge Leo fan, so I'm sure that helps. He said so at SDCC. She's happy to be married to Leonardo. lol

Xav 10-12-2014 12:00 AM

He's been doing Family Guy for 15 years. I'm sure he'll stay.

Ditto. He's a professional, he'll manage.

Leofan26 10-12-2014 12:58 AM

Why aren't you complaining about the sappy added romance into season three?
You let that crap slid yet you think the VA is going to sink your ship for yah

Mukouno 10-12-2014 07:17 AM

I hope he'll stay, I'll need some more time to get used to him but I think he does a nice job. And I don't want to know what explanation they come up with if Leo's voice changes again.

JTH 10-12-2014 07:22 AM

Yes. Question Cubed will post next week:

"Will Hun be American in this series?"

Warhorse 10-12-2014 12:34 PM

Ironic. If someone else had made this thread, cube would have demanded it be locked.

CyberCubed 10-12-2014 12:41 PM

Seth Green is known to leave series in the middle. Look at how he left Buffy the Vampire slayer after only 2 years.

Then the writers made Willow into a lesbian.

Well, Nick works with mostly predominantly union voice actors, we might just get a strike one year like the writers strike of 2009, and then we're stuck with second fiddles. So, it could be worse.

Pretty sure voice acting is also a lot less demanding. To my limited knowledge, I think someone could be able to get their own lines for an episode of a cartoon recorded and done in an afternoon?

Live action shows I believe usually take a number of days to shoot, right? With most everyone having to be there. Big difference.

You know, I bet out of everybody here on the technodrome, I bet Cybercube is probably the most famous one out of the non official members. I'd love it if in the next comic con, someone would go up to the panel and ask the producers if they are familar with cybercube.

I actually went up to the booth and after I asked Ciro about the archie comics, I asked if he ever visited the technodrome forums. He said a few years ago, but he didn't stay awhile.

I go, "Cybercubed drove you off, right?"
He goes, "I don't know who it was. Maybe him."

I wanted to talk more with him, but he had to go backstage. Nice guy.

Nope, that would be Jester, ToKka , Jephael, Roseangelo, and Ivyangelo. Those would be the five TMNT related professionals would know. I am just happy to acknowledge that Dan Berger knows who I am.

I'd put Powder up there too. His art is pretty well known.

Zulithe 10-12-2014 01:39 PM

I feel like Seth is very likely to stay, in fact I would not be surprised if they vetted him VERY carefully because they want to make sure they aren't replacing Leo's voice all the time.

snake: it was a sad day when ciro left us, it was so awesome having the showrunner here not just reading but also posting once in a while. it sucks how it turned out. I like to imagine that he still reads but doesn't post. :P In fact he has posted since he announced he left, so yeah.

I'm baffled you didn't include Andrew Modeen, since he's gotten published TMNT comics that finish Image continuity and continue Mirage, along with official Mirage staff doing the art.

Syb3rStrife 10-12-2014 05:27 PM

Seth is very dedicated to Voice Acting, so unless Ciro or someone at Nick decides to ditch him for whatever reason, I don't think he'll be going anywhere anytime soon.

Wow, Cubed. How does it feel to know that YOU most likely drove Ciro away? Any human emotions there? Remorse? Guilt, maybe? Let me guess, you don't give a damn!

I suddenly wanna see them time travel back to season 1 era and have Mikey say "What's with Leo's voice? He sounds like somebody who made a bad career move."

FlawedCoil82 10-12-2014 11:23 PM

I sure hope not. As I said in another thread, he is my least favorite voice that Leo has had in any tv or movie adaption of him. I don't know why. I can not get past Robot Chicken when he talks. I keep waiting for the screen to go fuzzy after every line Leo speaks, like when they change the channel on that show.

BubblyShell22 10-13-2014 08:14 AM

I hope so. I love Seth as Leo, and I'm sure he will stay because he seems more dedicated to it and really cares about the franchise. I often got the impression Biggs didn't care since he barely showed up at the Comic Cons except for the first one whereas Seth has shown up at both SDCC and NYCC. I definitely feel he will stay though.

Yeah, I don't think Cubed cares about what he did, but it was a damn shame to see Ciro go. He was awesome.

Seth was awesome at NYCC. You could tell he and Rob Paulsen had a blast

BubblyShell22 10-13-2014 04:47 PM

And that's a good thing that Seth is invested in the franchise and the fans. I think he'll stick around and keep doing it because I feel he really enjoys playing the character. Plus he's done a great job so far.

CyberCubed 10-13-2014 05:08 PM

I can't believe Seth is 40 years old. The guy hasn't aged at all since his 20's.

BubblyShell22 10-13-2014 05:30 PM

Well, some people have the good fortune of not aging. I heard stress can really age you, and by the way you're stressing out about insignificant things and the fact that you'll be turning 30 make it seem like you'll be turning gray very soon.

That's something that struck me recently... Am among those that don't care for Knoxville handling Leo's voice for the movie; film claims he's a teen then go and voice him with a man in his 40s, and sounds like it. Then after Within the Woods it occurred to me that Seth is about 40. Well dannng, it just really depends on the individual, and using real voice actors, doesn't it.

TurtleTitan97 10-13-2014 08:22 PM

I certainly hope he sticks around. 2 episodes in, and I've already gotten used to him as Leo. He's doing a great job.

Gunpowder 10-13-2014 10:33 PM

He seemed pretty damn excited about it at Comic Con - more than Biggs was, anyway - so I think he's here to stay.

At first I didn't like his voice, but when he isn't groaning and sounding weak (which he had to initially do since Leo was recuperating), he sounds just fine. So I'm glad he was chosen. He doesn't seem like the type to flake out, so he'll only leave if he's fired.

snake 10-13-2014 10:37 PM

Biggs didn't even mention the show in interviews or anything. I love the guys voice, but I could tell he really didn't care.

Biggs is a tool, snakester. I don't even think he's a good actor, tbh. He's one of the weaker links in Orange Is The New Black - which you shouldn't be watching for at least another six years btw, so no googling it :)

I'd never even heard of this show prior to coming here. I also didn't know Biggs did anything aside from the American Pie films...

Welp, even if I was living stateside still, I probably still wouldn't know about this program seeing as how I don't watch TV much at all outside of stuff like NCIS and Law & Order: SVU.
