BlueKatanas' Collection

I've been wanting to share my collection here for a while, but unfortunately most of it is very difficult to photograph at the moment. We have a small apartment and most of my collection is on display in the closet (not a lot of light for photos).

But I just hit 100 posts here on the Drome and to celebrate I want to start with what I can photograph and I'll try to add photos on a regular basis of the rest.

So Here's the tip of the iceberg:

Comic turtles guarding some turtle BluRays and DVDs.

30th Anniversary Comic Signed by Kevin Eastman.

Some Ooze and comics. This is an old haul photo, I actually use that tupperware to store 80's figure accessories now.

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...lms/image.jpeg
More Comics. I have lots in boxes, but these are the ones I have photos of, lol.

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...3095114c92.jpg
Another random haul photo. This was my easter haul.

And here are some teaser photos of the turtles closet. There's a whole lot more in there that I'll share soon, but as you can see, it's not ready to photograph until I can find a better way to light it:

Kid Robot Ooze action series.

I'll try to post new photos regularly as there are lots of toys I've yet to photograph. Hope you enjoy this thread as much as I enjoy seeing all of your awesome collections!

:tgrin:

love it! awesome collection

Thanks so much! More photos coming soon.

Your collection is amazing btw! How much of it are you able to display? I have a large collection as well (not as extensive as yours), but sadly 99% of mine ends up having to go "on display" in the closet due to limited space. Hoping that will change one day soon. Especially since it makes it so hard to take photos and share my collection.

Excellent - thanks for sharing! Looking forward to seeing more. :tsmile: I particularly love the set-up you have next to your desk; they look very dust-free and well-cared-for.

Lol well actually what you've seen of my collection in photos is about all that I can actually take pics of. Sadly I'm also in the same boat as you. Only able to photo a fraction of my collection while the rest is in my bedroom closet and also in my storage unit, awaiting the say that when I can I will be able to properly display my whole entire collection for all to see. I have quite a lot of ideas for displays as well. Some day we will both be able to show off all that which we own

Cool collection!cant wait to see the rest of it!

Thank You! I love most incarnations of the turtles, but there's a special place in my heart for the Fred Wolf cartoon and Playmates line I grew up with. Great avatar btw!

It's nice to know someone else feels my pain, lol. I spend a lot of time daydreaming about different ways I'll eventually display my whole collection. Here's hoping that day comes soon for both of us!

Thanks! I'm hoping to post a few more photos later tonight.:tsmile:

Yeah for sure dude! Then we'll take pics and share

While I'm waiting for a better way to light my turtles closet I'm going to start to slowly photograph the stuff that isn't on display anywhere (out in the apartment or in the closet). This stuff doesn't have a home yet, so it'll take a while to get everything photographed and uploaded but here are a couple pics to start:

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_3640.jpg

First wave nick turtles, shell raiser, buggies, and anchovy alley.

Turtle Blimp.

Some more photos plus the top shelf of the Turtle Closet! Sorry about bad photo quality, still taking all these pics with my phone:

Still lots more toys/ photos to come!

lookin good my friend, looking good. I'm kinda torn as to whether or not I want those Zip-line playsets

Thanks! I haven't opened the z lines yet so i can't give a review. But I mainly got them because I love any kind of vehicle or playset, and I thought it would be cool to have them up on the wall for little nick figure displays, when I finally have a room to display my collection in. I have all 4 and I'm hoping they still release the larger 5th z line they had planned...although I haven't heard anything about that one in a while, so maybe it was scrapped.

that's cool dude. and yeah like i said i might buy them yet if i can ever find em all

Haven't had a chance to photograph anything in storage yet, but I do have a photo to share. I took my grandmother to a doctor appointment the other day and while I was at her house, I went through some of my stuff that I had left there after college. I was happy to find these two mcdonalds toys from TMNT 2007, complete with the little roller guys inside them! I took them home and took a picture of them with my mini turtles from 2002 and my kid robot Leo keychain:

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/photo-13.jpg

Forgot I had these happy meal toys, but now I feel like I need the whole set.
:trolleye:

Nice collection! When are you going to move into a house so that you can setup a collection room :D

Thanks! haha, hopefully soon, but no specific plans yet.

McDs toys are the best

wow your collection is ultra cool! btw that lil key-chain Leo stole my heart! nice!:tgrin:

Very nice buddy!
Like your taste, I'm also willing to add the LARP series to my collection and the Kidrobots, but maybe the regular ones.

How worthy is it to get the Raph in disguise fig?
Does the fact that the scene was not included on the final movie cut more rare or less interesting?

They really are.

Thanks! Haha, yeah I'm pretty fond of that keychain. My wife got him for me at a kid robot store (i guess they've closed all their physical store locations since then :tsad:) Sometimes I use him as a zipper pull, but mostly he sits on my night stand.

Thanks! (Pictures of the regular kid robot ones coming soon)
I'm not sure if Trench coat raph is more rare. I haven't seen him as much as some other figures, but I do still see him in stores from time to time. Personally I got him to complete my collection of the basic movie line, and also to put next to other incarnations of trench coat turtles when I've completed my collection/have room to display it.

Still have lots I want to photograph and share, but recent additions are easier, so here are some photos of my amazing weekend haul. These were Christmas presents from my very generous In-laws.

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_3777.jpg

Awesome shirt and pajama bottoms!

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_3774.jpg

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_3775.jpg

I've always wanted this boxed set of the Fred Wolf Cartoon, but I thought I had missed my chance! This was an awesome surprise!

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_3776.jpg

Two Kidrobot figures! Almost have the full set now :tgrin:

Sweet haul! Those PJs look super-comfy!

Jaw-dropping collection dude :) Well done

very cool! i so want those Revoltech Figures

Thanks! Yeah, they're a little too comfy, lol. It's way too tempting to wear them all the time. :tlol:

Thank you! Your collection is awesome as well! I really like how you have everything displayed. Hoping to have room for something like that myself one day.

Thanks! They were at the top of my list. I'm really stoked to open them, but I'm waiting until I figure out where I can display them. These guys need to be out somewhere I can see them, lol.

Yeah some figures are too good not to dsiplay

Ok time for a post Christmas/ My Birthday collection update. Pretty great haul of stuff. As always, apologies for crappy cell phone pics:

New Party Wagon, and Krang kidrobot. I now have all the kid robot toys except the blind boxed shredder and splinter. So if anyone wants to trade a splinter or shredder for a foot soldier let me know, lol.

The little B-Daman Raph I got in Akhiabara on my trip to Japan. Haven't been able to find much info on these. Was able to find metallic marble shooters in some collections here on the boards, but if anyone has more info about this guy I'd appreciate it. Also in pic: Visual history book, and Comic con exclusive signed by Kevin Eastman.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Not a huge update/ a pretty bad picture, but got some more turtle stuff on display.

This is one shelf down from the revoltechs in that glass case:

http://i1075.photobucket.com/albums/...s/IMG_4284.jpg

Nice additions! Love the three foot soldiers!

Thanks! The foot soldier is my favorite figure from this line for some reason, so I was happy to end up with 3 of them.
