Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014 movie - Clip Extended Ending

graphic_content 11-25-2014 03:47 PM

A much different ending that to me further confirms: 1) Sachs was Shredder, and 2) The Turtles efforts to stop him were a little more public ...

I'd really love to see an alternate cut (a sentiment shared by others on this board) :D

Powder 11-25-2014 03:47 PM

I can see why they cut it. Cringey. The van going by is kinda neat, but otherwise, blegh.

Autbot_Benz 11-25-2014 03:49 PM

I agree the acting was kind of cringy. I've seen Pornstar's with better acting than Megan Fox

IndigoErth 11-25-2014 03:51 PM

Is this extras from the release? I want to look but if it will be on the disc I want to wait.. lol

So it does move on it's own? I wasn't so sure if it really could.

TurtleTitan97 11-25-2014 03:54 PM

It may have been cringe worthy, but I'd take this over the stupid Victoria's Secret billboard scene.

TigerClaw 11-25-2014 04:21 PM

I wonder why they didn't use this ending, It was cool seeing the Turtle Van drive by.

Bry 11-25-2014 04:23 PM

It's like something out the worst seasons of the '87 cartoon. But with worse writing. And far worse acting.

chrisdude 11-25-2014 04:52 PM

Needs more this:

But yeah, the original ending was better. I wouldn't have minded seeing the turtles take up patrols, though. I like that part But I guess decking out the van kinda did that.

TigerClaw 11-25-2014 05:04 PM

I think this ending wouldve brought a bit more closer to the actual end of the film. The film originally ended with the Turtles driving off in the Van at night, and then the end credits happen. If they added this ending right after that scene, It would've added some closure on April deciding on not reporting who they actually are, and just mentioning them as vigilantes

Even in the original cartoons, April gave hints about them in her news reports without giving them away.

You would only need and actress who could, you know, act.
We got Megan Fox.

BOOOOOOOOOOMMM!!!! :lol::rolling::lol:

PangolinFeets 11-25-2014 07:00 PM

God she is awful... That was cringey.

pennydreadful 11-25-2014 07:19 PM

Dude, whatever happened in the editing room... that's the story I want to see.

The way they've hacked and slashed the film footage is just insane; whoever gave the order for these cuts didn't know what they were doing. They made a "meh" level movie out-and-out terrible, with the way it's been cut.

I guess you could say the movie was... Shredded. :shredder:

(awww yeah)

nathanbofficial 11-25-2014 07:29 PM

I didn't find it cringey, I just found it extremely wooden. Kristen Stewart had more facial expressions in the whole Twilight saga than Megan Fox did in that scene.

Commenter 42 11-25-2014 07:48 PM

Lol, this guy ^^^^

Official? Was there a fake Nathanb on the forums?

This year, TMNT gets all my Razzie votes.
That clip is all anyone needs to see to know just how awful it was.
I cringed at every cut, at every line.
I honestly think the editors should be given a medal considering how terrible the footage was. If that's what they had to work with, then wow.
The writers, on the other hand, for their crime, should be forced to work as washroom attendants at sandiego comic con for the next 20 years.

It brings me immense joy to imagine Josh Appelballs, André Nemec and Evan Daugherty replacing uninal pucks and filling tampon dispensers, awash in a cloud of pizza farts and three-day-old pit stench.

Make them also have a sign posted about being there to help with costumes.

Ok, since it was so short I assume it's not an 'extra' so I looked... The acting. If you can call it that. And the van...really, at least sound off the theme song horn guys... no worries, the locals won't even get it.

Leo656 11-25-2014 09:04 PM

She's so bad. God, she's just so awful at everything.

I was very open about giving her the benefit of the doubt. I was really vocal about how "anyone could play April", and how it's not exactly one of the great roles, or very deep, and how the rest of the movie was probably going to be much worse than just her (that much was accurate)... but holy sh*t, she's just the worst.

She has the most flat, dry, and boring delivery ever. She always, ALWAYS sounds like that bratty kid who got picked to read aloud in class who really didn't feel like it, and puts in the minimal amount of effort just to get it over with. You get the sense that she actually prefers doing the T&A and cheesecake stuff, because at least she can DO that.

She's really bad.

That's the thing. We know that much better actors auditioned and were passed over for her, and... why? I can't understand it. She's terrible at acting, she bit the hand that fed her when she called Michael Bay a "Nazi" years ago, and she went out of her way to be a jerk to the fans when she was promoting this movie. There's no good reason to hire her, period.

IndigoErth 11-25-2014 09:29 PM

Cheesy extras in the background are more believable...

Too bad Hollywood has to include names that are, for some reason, big. They should have hired some no-name journalism graduate who minored in acting.

Redeemer 11-25-2014 10:00 PM

It still pisses me the hell off at how badly the messed up with this movie. Honestly I would have preferred the "Blue Door" Script over what we got!!!!!!!

Leo656 11-25-2014 10:59 PM

Now now. Let's not say things we can't take back. Take a deep breath, count to 10, and come back when you're thinking clearly. It's okay. We're all mad. But let's not start with heresy.

pennydreadful 11-25-2014 11:20 PM

Oh come on, at least some of the dialogue (like the "You do it with balls" line) would've given the audience a laugh. A horrified, incredulous laugh, but hey - at least it's a change of pace from having to laugh over pizza fart jokes.

And just think, we could've seen Mikey drooling over The Smoking Hot Turtle Babe. Sheer morbid curiosity makes me wonder what a sexy female ninja turtle would end up looking like, left in Bay's hands.

And he'd probably still make the actress doing the mo-cap for that part wash his car in a bikini before he gave her the role.

Honestly, the blue door script could have been a fun movie, if it was called The Blue Door, and not TMNT.
OR...It could be interesting if it was intentionally an else-worlds story. That I can handle. I don't mind an bizarre interpretation, as long as it's intended to be an interpretation, and not meant to re-write the original. But it needs to be stated up front.

If that was the plan, then you really need to make two movies; one for the real fans, and one for the general public.

I don't know why hollywood hasn't figured this out. Comics have numerous titles for their big name characters, why not do the same in the movies?

pennydreadful 11-25-2014 11:51 PM

The Blue Door script would've at least been hilariously awful.

The movie we got was just plain awful.

TrickOrTreater 11-26-2014 04:44 AM

Awful. Just f*cking awful.

Yeah, but seriously, if that became cannon going forward, and a whole generation of fans viewed that as the "better" version...

Sort of how some how the kids today claim that Superman the movie sucks, because M.O.S is so much better...

I want to slap those kids, open palm to the face.

marcelangelo 11-26-2014 09:21 AM

I don't know what you guys got..this scene is not exactly any better or worse than the rest of that movie, so what is this fuzz all about?
In my oppinion megans performance is not really the cringeworthy part that takes the cake..its how we see the vernon actor react much more to me that screams for the sledgehammer...lol

neatoman 11-26-2014 09:29 AM

I don't think this ending got cut because of the Sacks/Shredder debacle, I think it got cut because it makes no sense for April to be rehired.

Think about it, she got fired because she attempted to sell a story about mutant turtles, at the end of the movie (I guess) the turtles are still unknown and there's not a whole lot April could have done to redeem herself in the eyes of Mrs Thompson.

TigerClaw 11-26-2014 10:03 AM

Yeah, I don't know what the fuss is all about, People seem to be butt hurt about it, Its just an ending that got cut. As for her acting, It doesn't bother me, I don't judge movies on the quality of the acting, I only judge movies on the quality of the entertainment of it.

Do you also not judge food by the way it tastes? 'Cause you'll spend your life eating crap, with that mentality.

I'm not a movie buff, it's all about the experience. I can't take movies that seriously.

Please no. If they really did end up as aliens... well remove the last inch of relateable-ness, why don't ya. At least keep them fellow earthlings for Turtley sake.

I've largely made my peace at this point with it being allowed a spot to be it's own separate thing within the TMNT universe, but so help me god if anyone causes any ridiculous points (bullet proof, lab animals, ninja how-to books...) to become permanently embedded in future versions...

Well, the IDW comics also had Splinter and the Turtles as lab specimens, :b

Everyone has their own standards, but acting is a part of the quality of entertainment. Every part of the filmmaking process adds up to the final product as a whole and they're all equally important. The quality of the acting does and should impact the quality of the movie.

To give a different metaphor than Powder: it's like saying you don't care about the quality of the parts, you only judge a car on the quality of the driving experience. It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

They also managed to do that and keep the Saki/Yoshi backstory and rivalry intact, and even add some extra twists to it, which is the only reason they made that change work. Very hard to compare the two on the same level.

Shhh, don't inform me of that, clearly there are reasons I was not aware of this. Other than having not read that.

Sighphi 11-26-2014 03:00 PM

I actually dont remember the ending of the movie and how this would help it.
