AFTER DW Tmnt #4

will they be writing ORIGINAL material?? or rehashing the comics like they did with the last 4?

Dane E5R 08-28-2003 02:23 PM

Yup. New stuff after #4.

Anarchistguy 08-28-2003 07:21 PM

...just like Archie Comics did when they were adapting stories of the original cartoon.

Tetsu Deinonychus 08-28-2003 07:33 PM

That's the Idea. :)

This is like a new "Archie Series".

LeSean 08-29-2003 05:44 PM

October sees the releases of TMNT #5, and the start of writer Peter David’s bold new direction for the comic series. Get ready for all-new, all-original stories! To mark the occasion penciler LeSean has hooked up TMNT #5 with a spectacular wraparound cover!

:D see you next month!

Tetsu Deinonychus 08-29-2003 05:59 PM

There you go, direct from LeSean himself! :D

cqb101 08-29-2003 06:06 PM

Awesome cover!

gobo 08-29-2003 08:03 PM

"stares adoringly at the cover for #5*

:o But, waitaminute... Since DreamWave is kicking off their own original stories... Isn't it entirely possible that a rogue Utrom named Krang might exist??

Raven 08-29-2003 08:40 PM

oh man I cant wait to get issue 5!

damnhooligan 08-29-2003 09:24 PM

Orgasmic.

Now I must find a way to procure a copy of #5 when it's available! I still haven't gotten my #4 in the mail yet *sai*

I hate APO.

Anarchistguy 08-29-2003 10:03 PM

If you're talking about Dreamwave comics, TMNT#4 isn't even out yet.

I thought it was a question. :ohwell:

Anarchistguy 08-29-2003 10:20 PM

An understandable error. It's cool.

Cascadia 08-30-2003 10:24 AM

i am looking forward to when DW takes a new storyline that is not adapted from the cartoon.

But what do we know about the storyline? other than its brand new?

JameO 10-04-2003 11:25 PM

I really don't remember but in Issue 4 wasn't there a preview thing like they did for the other ones. But maybe since it was a new story line they only left it blank I am not sure.

Taloniss 10-05-2003 08:42 AM

Sweet wraparound cover, LeSean.

Bry 10-05-2003 08:53 AM

Yeah, that's a kickin' awesome cover, LeSean!

A thought: it'd be awesome if Dreamwave would make posters of that and the cover to #1.

*sparklies*

Nice! :D *sigh* I wish i could get the comics...but the closest comic shop near me is about 100 miles away...

I so wanna see what Splinter looks like... :(

Blaze DTGG 10-05-2003 02:34 PM

I am glad I have a local comic shop that knows me well. the guy just throws stuff in my hold if he things I might like it.. anything TMNT that he comes accross he saves for me or asks if I want it..

Machias Banshee>>

how do you get your comics? order them all from the web? and have you thought about asking the owners of the comic shop thats far away if they were planning to open a branch of their store anywhere closer to you.

Me and my roommate have been looking into opening a shop of our own. but he isnt sure if he wants to open just an Anime store.. or just open a All Geeks store.. basically selling comics, RPG's (table top SSG and otherwise) anime and various other things of athat nature..

*shrugs* I just...dont get them... :(

the few I've gotten, I've ordered from the official site, but those are mainly the archies...*hugs her archies*

I rarely get to see the new ones. and when I do (like twice this past summer) I can't really spend the money on them...I dont plan to get any mirages now, after Laird Butchered Splinter.

I havent seen any of the DW one's, so I dont know if they even have them in my area back home... *shrug*

"...their own original stories..." Re-read that and tell me if you think that Krang would fit into that statement.

Yeah, I didn't think so.

People, we need to get over it already! This is a new show, this is a new comic, this is a new TMNT universe, we don't need Krang, Rocksteady, or Bebop to make it good. Its already great without them!

So no, I don't think its very likely at all that we'll see Krang again. I'm not saying it will never happen, but I don't think its likely.

I hope at some point!

Skeletoncrew, "original stories" doesn't mean we can't see some old faces :D however unlikely it is, I remain optimistic fan reaction would make them realize a demand for there return exists.

Yeah and I think the cover on # 4 would be amazing on a poster too.

I for one would NOT be happy of their return and I know of a lot of other fans that wouldn't either.

Kid Icarus 10-08-2003 06:41 PM

is DW#5 this week, or next week?

Personally, I'd be ambivilant. It all would depend on how they handled it. Mainly I'm just tired of hearing people asking about whether the old characters will be back and/or whining about the fact that they're not in the new stories. I've really been enjoying the new story arc, and I see no reason to mix it up just for the sake of re-introducing characters. The Shredder of the new cartoon is nothing like the Shredder of the old cartoon. I like it that way.

Cascadia 10-16-2003 04:57 PM

it is probably next week because I did not see it when I picked up my bi-monthly mirage issue.

JameO 10-17-2003 01:35 PM

Yeah it's October 22. Well I asked my comic guy and he said that. So I can get the TMNT game and the comic all in one. WHAT A SPECIAL DAY! Very cool they held it till then.
