What do you watch on Youtube?
I watch Black Nerd Comedy, Katie Wilson, and Llamas in Hats.
Caaaaaarrl! |
I watch fights, be they back yard, boxing or UFC matches. I'll search for a song I haven't heard to check it or the artist out. Sometimes movie previews. I like checking out Injustice and Street Fighter tournaments too.
|
Mostly just music videos, wrestling matches, and the occasional video game or movie trailer.
Honestly, almost everything else on YouTube just seems like a bunch of people who are desperate for attention playing "Look at me! I'm an internet celebrity!" Some stuff is funny but a lot of it has no need to exist. Keep in mind, I'm not lumping in people who are genuinely creating and expressing themselves. I'm talking about people who post videos of themselves twerking, or stuff about their pets, or people jumping off a roof. Who caaaaaaaares. Stuff like that just gets on my nerves. My wife used to make me watch Tosh.0 and Real TV and stuff like that, and it just made me wish I could track these people down and shoot them in the face. That's the kind of stuff I mean. And it's like 7/10s of the internet. |
Cartoons like Gravity Falls and TMNT, some Brony vids and music, FN@F's theories, music videos, some fan animations (like Star Fox Bloopers and Sonic Shorts), AMVs, GMOD videos, prank calls, I'm going To Report You To Garry, and some trivia (Top 10s, Danger Dolan, Watch Mojo, etc.).
|
Live reactions, vintage cartoon episodes, wrestling shoot interviews, vintage wrestling segments and car-crash WCW moments, 80s and 90s music, 'shipping vids, lol-worthy internet "drama" (the Doctor Who fan war was a choice highlight of 2014)
|
I watched a skater fall.
Quite entertaining. |
AVGN/Cinemassacre, speed runs, Jeremy Parish's various ongoing series and, of course, Chris-Chan. Also occasionally browse Japanese Youtube for weird games.
|
Well if you really wanna know. These are the Youtubers/Channels I watch on Youtube.
Then I also just watch episodes of TMNT, listen/ watch Vocaloid music videos, and ocassionally some random videos depending on what I feel like watching. |
Mostly video game, movie, comic, prank, or educational related content. With that said, here are some of my favorite channels for those things.
|
I like watching Trisha Hershberger's "The Naked Truth". It's a really good blog series. I also enjoy Black Nerd Comedy, Liz Katz and a few other bloggers. Used to be a big fan of Philip DeFranco and SourceFed, though I got kind of sick of them after a while.
|
Ooh I forgot I also watch JeremyJahns, Vsauce, and some Domics.

I watch mostly AVGN and video game related stuff. |
All sorts of things. But mostly video game music, speedruns, sports highlights, funny videos, documentaries and interviews.
As for channels that I subscribe to, they mostly contain the sort of content I've listed above. To a name a few, I subscribe to Cinemassacre/AVGN, JourneymanPictures, VICE and a few news channels. Youtube is addicting. If it wasn't for big companies asking them to take down videos all the time, it'd destroy the TV business. Pre-google acquisition, Youtube was full of complete anime, wrestling PPVs, movies and live action tv shows. |
Primarily music videos, dancing videos (I like to watch people dance, what can I say), documentaries, tv shows.
I don't watch any "internet celebrity" sorts except for the occasional rant by The Angry Aussie when the mood strikes me, because, well, that guy is awesome. |
I've got a bit of a list so I'll just divide it up.
Gaming:
Music:
Misc:
|
AVGN, Cinemassacre, Jontron, Beta64, Did You Know Gaming, Bulby, Awe Me, Balbod, Esquire Bob Animations, Tim & Eric, RR Cherrypie, various music channels (official YT's of artists I like), & those who upload Gaki No Tsukai clips. The bulk of my subscriptions.
|
Music videos, certain video game and movie trailers, ripped video game music clips *I love remixes of those too*, YTP's, OT TMNT and Beast Wars videos, DB, Yugioh, and Hellsing Abridged, Stan Winston videos *the stuff they do is just awesome even if it is just prop and mechanical puppeteer work IMO*, MST3K, and various random videos.
|
I don't watch much YouTube, but I love this guy's channel. All his videos are slice-of-life Paris strolls.
Je suis Charlie! Je suis flâneur! |
I'm not judging, I'm just gonna say I have no idea how any of you have the time.

Mainly music videos...
Epic fail compilations are a good way to pass the time  And the odd TMNT related stuff :D |
AVGN, let's play video game videos, cartoons.
I've been watching multiple people review Turtles Forever. |

I only watch a few game related channels like Cinemassacre, The Game Chasers, Retsupurae, Boogie2988. I watch a lot of maker/DIY stuff so I like Tested, this cool channel called BITY Mould Supply, and any neat looking links that appear on the side. I like Red Letter Media a lot as well, and recently have been binge watching Pixel Dan.
|
Glad to see more boogie2988 watchers here. That guy deserves every viewer he gets.
|
I watch him too.
He is very intelligent in video games, but his Francis videos are funny They can get a little irritating sometimes. |

Oh, forgot to mention another channel I watch. Smooth McGroove. Totally awesome! Here's an example...

For instance, I like watching "Game Theory". I think Mat puts up a new video every two weeks. Santoro does his top 10 or 50 lists once a week. Game Sack is a biweekly show as well. Game Sack is awesome...then again, I do have an interest in retro games, wishing I could've played most of the games they feature on their show when they were originally out or wish I would've had the opportunity to. I was an elementary school kid when they were like high-schoolers playing these games and their game collection is awesome. AVGN...I just go to his site as opposed to Youtube, but he put up those James and Mike play videos once a week. So yeah, it's easy to find time to watch some of these youtube videos, and usually "list" videos are short anyway. |

Re: Boogie. He says a lot of things; I don't need to agree with him, but he makes a lot of interesting content. |

It's just genuinely hard for me to relate, I'm totally not judging. Plus, other than coming here, the internet isn't "fun" for me like it is for some people. Like I might watch "Honest Trailers" once a month for an hour. Some folks can do that every day. Cool, cool, I just could never do that myself. Honest? Maybe it's the way I grew up, I'unno what it is, but... I literally feel like every second I spend online is "wasted time". Well... I'm always around people who flat-out say so, so maybe that's part of it. But like seriously, I always feel guilty when I'm online. Even at like 4am when there's not much else I'd be doing. ((Shrug)) |
People also watch youtube videos on their phone when they're outside or at work. So it doesn't "eat time at home" because you're watching youtube stuff when you're already out of the house.
Bored at work or you're sitting at a doctor's appointment? You can watch a youtube video. That way you still have time for videogames, TV or movies when you get home. |
 I never had a phone with internet so I can't relate to that one either. Although I might be getting one soon because the boss says I "have" to. But I doubt I'll ever use it much.
