Future Mirage Influence + New Characters!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zn9NSnkmAoA
It was revealed at Toy Fair today that there will be an upcoming arc in which the turtles go to Dimension X & align themselves with none other than Fugitoid! My guess is this will be in season 4, though I suppose anything is possible. Also revealed alongside toys of other familiar faces was Savanti Romero, so it would seem he too will get his old stories adapted, unless he's given new ones, which is equally plausible. Super dope! All the funky Fred Wolf stuff has been irking me*, I must admit, so I'm glad to see that Shredder Clones are only the very beginning with respect to Mirage characters/themes being pulled. With Triceratons on the way as well (presumably alongside Fugitoid) there's a lot in store for us fans of the original turtle series. *I love all that stuff but I've felt like there's been too much focus on toy pushing & nostalgia lately. Happy to have more, just space it out. |
Is that Carter beside Dimension X Mikey and in front of Ice Cream Kitty?
Oh wait no, it's Savanti. |
No, it's Savanti Romero.

That's awesome!
|
Hm, no Triceraton figures though...
|
Yay, Fugitoid going to be in it, love the turtles space suits.
I want Ice Cream kitty toy. |
Oh reeeally? Niceee!
I hope they paint that stuff well, esp those space suit Turtles, might need those. Omg the chicken is getting a figure along with Ice Cream Kitty and Spike - want. "Angry Beavers," huh? I heard that... someone grew up with the old Nick cartoons. lol |
I thought Savanti was Null at first. I'm pretty hyped for Fugitoid.
|
Hell yeah! Turtles in Space! Really excited for Fugitoid and Savanti.
Thanks for sharing Powder. |
So, anyone seeing Complete Carnage and Radical in the future?
|
No not really. They are pretty obscure. They haven't appeared in any cartoons, or comics outside Mirage, and have never had an action figure, I think we are more likely to get someone like Nobody.
|
After seeing pictures of some new Half Shell Heroes figures, it would seem the turtles (& Shredder...?) will also be going back to the days of the Dinosaur. Perhaps, like in the comics, they will tussle with Savanti there.

Fugitoid was kinda expected to show up, and I guess Savanti will be in Renet's episode.
But seriously, where the hell are the Triceratons? I thought they were supposed to show up this season. Why they holding them off? |
Cool find P, thanks for sharing. I saw on Amazon that a book titled Mutants in Space was coming out in July so I assume we'll be seeing this go down in season 3.
I don't collect toys, but I'm DEFINITELY buying the Spike/ICK/Cluckingsworth three pack. Too cool. |
I wonder if we'll see the Neutrinos with Fugitoid ala IDW, even though there aren't any toys shown.
|
Instead of Carter what about Savanti Romero? If Renet will appear why not have Savanti involved somehow as well in the fore coming time traveling arc? Wishful thinking!
|
And to think I was assuming that Jack Kurtzman is the 2012 incarnation of the Fugitoid.

Super doped for Fugitoid! Wonder if his backstory is going to be the same (being Professor Honeycutt and all) or completely new. Also I think the appearance of Triceratons is pretty much implied, Playmates simply haven't completed its toyline yet.
I have a feeling The Federation will not be incorporated in the Nick series at all, their role could be replaced by the Kraang instead. |

Eh, just doesn't feel right, Kurtzman's a cool enough character on his own. And Forster's voice doesn't really match the character design.
I could be wrong though. |
Fugitoid's voice might change in robot form. They had better keep his backstory that he's Prof. Honeycutt though.

Kurtzman's character doesn't fit with the Fugitoid to me.

Is it possible that the new figurine of Spike could mean that Slash will be demutated soon?

I like seeing the turtles with energy weapons when in space/dimension x but I think the helmets are a bit much, makes them look bulky and harder for them to do their ninja moves.
But yes i'm really excited about seeing a true dimension x arc |
I sort of like the slick look behind the AIBO inspired Fugatoid. Can't wait to see how he interacts with the group. I hope that he has more of his own arc but it seems like a lot of things are focused on Kraang.
|
I kinda hope Fugitoid was forced by the Kraang to invent most of the Kraang techs (transdimensional portal, weapons etc) just like how The Federation was using him in Mirage/4kids. And then the Triceratons invade the Kraang, with the Fugitoid escaping and wanted by both parties, then meeting the turtles and so on.
|
Cool vid indeed! It's awesome that we're getting Fugitoid and the Triceraton in the current series. I still am really looking forward to seeying the episode with Mondo Gecko as well!
What I liked about the video were the little figures of Spike, Icecream Kitty and Dr. Clockingsworth. I saw the vid. without sound. Will this be a 3-pack? |

We now also have confirmation on Commander Mozar, the Triceraton.
|
My hope is that he's a one-eyed cyborg with some level of honor again.
