This damn dress colour
Blatantly copied from numerous of other sites.
Let's go! http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/1/25422000...fcc10098e7.jpg |
What the heck?!
|
nonononono...NO!
It's been ****ing debunked, stop it. the Dress is Black and Blue, it's been confirmed by the makers of the dress themselves. It's a fake, the picture is from a bad camera, altered and messes with peoples resolution on their computer screen. It's black and blue, finito finale. |
Um...I don't see anything...
|
It really is blue and black. I originally only saw it in white and gold. Then it just changed.
Sometimes I still see it as white and gold, then look at it again and it's blue and black. |
*not sure if this thread has any point*
Edit: Quote:
Strange I kinda saw it as white and gold at first then when I looked up at it again it was blue and black. |
|
who said the actual dress was fake?
|
Misread your post. Sorry.
|
I really don't understand how people are seeing black and blue for the original picture.

My brothers and I are very confused as to how. |
This thing? Darn it, been over this on Facebook yesterday. White and gold.
I can see where people might get a blue tint, but I've still no clue how people are seeing black. lol o.O Even after messing with it in Photoshop and making it look whiter so that the original looked a bit blue to me... the gold has remained gold. http://www.wired.com/2015/02/science...s-color-dress/ |

I too saw white and gold at first when I saw it on my desktop. But on my ipad it was very light blue and dark brownish black.
It's due to the bad picture quality, and the more you look at the picture the more adjusted the eyes would be, and you see it more akin to it's original colors. It's been all over facebook and Tumblr. Quote:

I'm going with Candy Kappa on this, and whoever took the first picture seriously needs to check that light exposure level on their camera, or just get a new camera altogether.
|
|
I always saw blue and black.
my friend saw white and gold. |

Thanks for sharing that information. |
The first pic is white and gold. Anyone seeing otherwise needs to get their eyes checked.

Once you see the black and blue you can't unsee it. |
I'm unseeing it.
Still I have never seen the black in this. Edit: Spoiler:
Not my work, blame Facebook. lol |
I'll just copy my Facebook post.
The whole problem with the dress is people are arguing the POSSIBILITY of what it could be IF the light were different, IF it were heavily saturated, IF it's been manipulated ect etc etc. The possibilities are endless and it COULD well be White and Gold OR Blue and Black, hell if someone were clever enough it COULD even be rainbow...I mean really clever. But that's not what it IS in the ACTUAL PHOTO only which IS simply Blue and Brown. We are not in front of the REAL dress so we will never know. We can only judge by the image in front of us NOW which in it's most basic form IS Blue and Brown. That's how I see it anyway. Now back to waiting for the next Nick episode... |

Uh no...I'm judging ONE photo Only from what IS in it. Not 2. That COULD very well be the Actual dress but it is NOT the photo in question. Like I said before I'm not speculating possibility but merely looking at what's in front of me.
The whole thing to me seems to be about NOT colour but simply seeing what's in front of you and not What it COULD be. Anyway, the ACTUAL dress could be Black and Blue, White and Gold but it's Brown and Blue to me from the photo I'm looking at and I'm not the only one who thinks so. Google the dress is Brown and Blue and you'll see. How this 'broke' the internet I'll never know. I'm not an armchair expert on eyes and whatnot I'm simply saying what I see. Now, it's time to well and truly let it go. |
What if...like....we're all really only blue and black or white and gold, man?

I have no idea what you just said or what any of it means. I posted a different picture of the dress where its true colour is being shown. What more do you want? It's black and blue, confirmed. |
If it's THAT dark of a blue... then wtf with that camera of the person who took the original photo. Making black look gold even... have they dropped it ten times or something?
|
CNN has a story on it, And they said the Dress's owner says the color is actually Royal Blue, Lighting can play all sorts of tricks.

1) What colour IS the ACTUAL Dress? OR 2) What colour IS the dress in THIS PHOTO? Both have DIFFERENT Answers. I can't answer 1) because I'm not 'Physically In Front' of the dress so I guess we all have to take the owners word based on OTHER Sources. But I can answer 2) It's Blue and Brown from the colours I see from that 'Image Only'. Anyhoo, Now that it's been debunked, I think the real questions are what the hell is wrong with this person's camera? Now that this dress is Viral how much money it will make? And have we all been played in a huge marketing ploy ;) |
It's the flash bouncing off the mirror in the dressing room washing out the image.
|
Whooooo caaaaaaaaaaresssss
