Naughty things Nick has gotten away with
 

After seeing Kurtzman's lizard woman, I'm wondering what else Nick has sort of slipped in that could be construed as naughty for a kids show. I recall a few things, but I probably missed a lot.

There are Raph's curse words that are creatively changed to more innocent terms and apparently Mikey just recently said some things that are a bit naughty sounding. I have to go back and watch the episode again to listen for myself.

The sort of sexy pin up girl Raph painted on the party wagon and Kurtzman's lizard woman.

There are also the butt cannons. Raph just recently said something about them having a hot one in the chamber.

Why do most of these center around Raph. :)

Instantly my mind goes to:

There was the scene in Season 2 where one of those worm things was rubbing on April's butt and she thought Casey was doing it. In fact there are many April ass shots all throughout the show.

They did get away with saying alcohol, it was for medical purposes but they still said alcohol.

You can also count the number of times, They showed April's butt, right in front of the screen.

Not to mention that time when April stretched and yawned and her breasts stuck out in front of Casey, who noticed most eagerly. Oh, and what he said about staying behind alone at the farmhouse with her while the turtles had their vision quest.

Then there was the time when she switched bodies with Casey and she told him to quit pinching his own butt. There have been a lot more with Casey than I remember seeing.

Or the time Donnie said "Guess what April I were doing"
And all his brothers looked at him like wtf, that was same episode as the sub thing...I'm can't believe that went over my head the first time I watched it..lol

Donnie in "Vision Quest" "Those two are gonna be getting in tuned with each other" yeah we all know what he meant.

Mikey gets Shellacne: Raph's egg boobs. :lol:

Another sneaky one in "Battle for New York" that I saw that I don't think many would pick up on until you see it a couple times.

After Raph calls Pete a decoy after their first rescue, Pete looks at Raph very upset, and quickly afterwards Slash holds up a tall thin loaf of bread between his fingers. (Like a fingered hand with the middle one up)

...It's intended to be like a middle finger.

Donnie called a Kraang's mother for a prostitute in the Metalhead episode.

“The one who is called your mother wears the boots that are made for combat!”

There's one episode where Casey is dragged towards the camera in the season finale (I think) and it cuts by Casey's crotch encompassing the camera to blackness.

The people who are obsessed with April's butt shots didn't seem to notice it though.

One of my favorite lines in the whole show, from Parasitica (S1):

Nothing to add, think much of it has been pointed out, even if some require a bit of creative assumptions. Not that kind of sub, guess what Donnie and April were up to, and April sniffing Leo remain my faves... :lol:

I didn't think anything was too weird about April sniffing Leo's face besides the fact that she was simply sniffing his face. Like, I didn't think it was naughty. It just seemed very wild and horribly frightening! :o Don't eat Leo!

For me, the one that will always come to mind is that sub one and the expression on Leo's face and Mikey saying, "We're not that kind of sub". Oh, and the ep where Donnie was like, "Guess what April and I have been doing" and the silence and the reactions and facial expressions of Leo, Raph, and Mikey had me scratching my head saying , "Wow, get your minds out of the gutter"

In the Squirrelnoid ep, I kinda interpreted Mikey's line as "naughty" when Raph was getting on Mikey staying up all night reading scary comics and Mikey said he wasn't reading them and that he was up all night because he was "polishing" his "grappling hook". I know he actually had been reading scary comics....but, yeah...that could have a double meaning. Who stays up all night polishing a grappling hook? lol ><

Donnie going on about what teens do in the woods who like each other when alone, although, personally, that could be a double whammy.

Since it was horror-themed, my mind didn't jump to the "naughty" stuff...my mind jumped to them being killed first and then the naughty stuff and then it jumped to, doing naughty things and being killed while doing so. :-P :lol:

Like someone else pointed out, most of what Raph says that can be curseword substitutions. It's like the younger Pete in the Adventures of Pete & Pete. His character was written that way and since they couldn't have a child using actual curse words, for Danny Tamborelli, the writers would have him say other words in their place.

How about Fishface? I can't recall the ep again, but the reason why he wanted to be human again was made very apparent. He wanted to, "love as a man" again, or something like that. And there was another ep where he said something about maybe settling for a female fish or something. Dude misses getting laid. :lol:

How about Casey being in April's body for Plan 10? He was pinching April's butt and after they switched back, Casey looked down disappointedly at his chest and said, "I kinda liked being a girl".

Whaaaat? LOL! I don't remember this. But that's hilarious. Aww...poor Xever. He gets no play anymore. Kinda poetic though when he says it like that. "Love as a man!"

For some reason, I think this is totally funny and acceptable for that age (16, is he?) anyway, I don't know how age-appropriate it is considering TMNT is Y7. But if I was a censor I'd be like, *shrug* meeeh! It's fine--air it as is!

I finally remembered which ep it was. It was "Mikey Gets Shellacne". To be honest, I actually found that normal too, although if I was that age and trapped in a boy's body, I would've freaked out and avoid doing anything that would involve me having to get nude. lol But, maybe for a Y7 show, it'd count as being "naughty".

Or the fact that he was checking himself out while in her body! Not just pinching his butt, but basically feeling himself up.... Casey is a perv.

And adding on, if you're polishing an actual grappling hook, I doubt anyone would hear you. lol Mikey reading his scary comics, he reacts to them, maybe scream at a scary part, etc...so yeah, he's a noisy grappling hook polisher if that's a legit excuse. :-P

Yes, he is. Apparently, he doesn't have any boundaries (although he's cooled down a lot since the Invasion, imo). Even in Wormquake, with Casey and Donnie there, and she felt someone feeling her up, she automatically jumped to Casey and accused him.

Kinda reminds me of one point in the 2k3 where all we see is Raph's leg and thigh and it completely looks like the very thing April thinks he's doing when she walks into the room.

However Raph just innocently says he was just polishing his Sai.


One naughty this is after Leo insists to Donnie that April and Casey are going to look for Raph in one direction. Casey gets that what only can be described as a "Rape Face" before flipping down his mask.

It's like he's telling the Audience "Oh yeah, Casey Jones is gonna get a little O'Neil Action, Goon-ga-la!"

I think I remember that, strangely enough. But my mind is usually in the gutter anyway, especially when it comes to these guys. I should be living in the sewer with them- I'd be right at home....
