Anyone else hate the new Hun?

Well just wondering I don't like the nick show that much honestly but when I heard Hun was gonna be on it I was kinda willing to give it another chance but to me he's just a big let down so how do you guys feel?

Autbot_Benz 04-23-2015 04:15 PM

I like the new hun he is like Bruce Lee. better than that lumbering oaf in the 2003 show.

Candy Kappa 04-23-2015 04:16 PM

No. Nick Hun is amazing.

It's freaking Bruce Lee with Dragon tattos. The animators nailed it all, his attitude, the movements, it's just fantastic, a bit lazy? Sure, but I the end. Hun is Bruce freaking Lee.

Yeah, I'm with you, homie.

TurtleTitan97 04-23-2015 04:20 PM

Considering the fact that he's based on Bruce Lee? Not at all.

Maybe I just see Bruce lee as the bad guy a bit of a insult to his legacy eh to each their own

Why is that an insult?

Bruce Lee was an actor and played many parts, even as a villain.

Shark_Blade 04-23-2015 04:36 PM

No, Nick Hun is hot as hell.

2k3 Hun looks like a buffoon. IDW Hun fares better due to his strong story and relationship with Casey.

Well I could be wrong but I don't think he ever played a villain and of he has it's from something I haven't seen so forgive me if that's the case

It's goes against his philosophy and beliefs at lest if I interpit them right I don't know just something in the way it's done leaves a bad vibe for me

Lol what. So if an actor plays a villain, he's really evil to you?

That doesn't make any sense. How would it go against his belief to play a villain in a movie if he ever was? The dude was an actor, did he ever say he would never play a villain in any film he worked on?

There's a big difference between a person's philosophical views and their job. He was an actor, he acted out characters.

And btw, he played a bad guy in Marlowe.

MsMarvelDuckie 04-23-2015 04:48 PM

I don't particularly care for this version of him. He's "fun" and different, sure, but just not what I was expecting to get. Kinda disappointed in "Hun Lee". Or Bruce Hun. Whatever you want to call him. He's just kinda- clichéd.

Well no but the movies he made wore about being a hero to his pepole he even said he thought that was important in some interviews

Really hmmm ill have to check that out some time

Powder 04-23-2015 04:53 PM

Honestly, & I don't say this just to seem like I'm out to troll your thread, the main reason I like the new Hun is because of the butthurt he has caused. :tlol:

I have never liked Hun, but I've always loved Bruce Lee, so naturally, I now like Hun. That's really what it comes down to.

Ninturtle 04-23-2015 04:55 PM

I haven't seen him enough to make a proper judgement. Although design wise I wish he was blonde it seems a bit odd seeing him with black hair but it doesn't bug me much.

That's not what I'm saying and is Bruce lee doing this as a part? No of corse not its just his image being used not his acting skill so you missed the point

IndigoErth 04-23-2015 05:00 PM

Neutral at the moment, haven't really seen enough of him yet, but might make for an interesting character.

So in other words, he has never said he would never play a villain because it goes against his "beliefs" like you said.

I rest my case.

Your case is invalid this is not a actor taking a part it's a mans likeness being used not the same thing at all

Yeah, and? They're just paying homage to the guy, there is literally NOTHING wrong with that.

Candy Kappa 04-23-2015 05:05 PM

Chuck Norris is also a bad guy in the Nick TMNT cartoon.

Bradford.

GoldMutant 04-23-2015 05:07 PM

I assume that because of other bulky characters such as Dogpound and Tiger Claw are a factor on making Hun more unique (I still like his old appearance though). Considering that Xever was seemingly based on Jim Kelly and Bradford was based on Chuck Norris, it seemed inevitable a Bruce Lee modeled character was set to appear. With each incarnation, it'll take sometime to adapt to another form of a character.

That being said, he's only appeared once and proved to be an interesting character, but I can't say I either hate or like him right now. I say I'd give Hun a few more appearances until I get an honest opinion on him.

If it stops being a homage and steps into insulting his legacy it is and I don't see it as a homage to do this

Powder 04-23-2015 05:09 PM

Stop being a baby. It's a show about martial arts & it's making a nod to the grand daddy of martial arts-based entertainment. Period.

After all these years of him being parodied, having tribute paid to him, etc, there is far worse out there, concerning how is image is portrayed.

Insulting? You can't be serious. :trolleye:

You do realize, as Kappa pointed out, Bradford's human model is based on Chuck Norris right? Does that mean they were disrespecting him because he's a bad guy? Of course not.

No offense dude, but I seriously think you're getting mad over nothing. That's all I got to say.

Sorry stopped caring what you said after the baby word if you had something good to say don't steep to cheap names

Powder 04-23-2015 05:14 PM

If you genuinely feel offended by my use of the word "baby", well, that kinda makes you one, doesn't it? Relax, kid, I don't mean you any disrespect.

My point stands. If you don't like it, fine, but don't kid yourself.

Commenter 42 04-23-2015 05:15 PM

Big lumbering blonde hun was annoying and boring.

Bruce Lee hun is exciting and cool. I'm really glad they did this.

I saw that and well I respect you don't see it how I do I am just stateing what it makes me think of when I see it

About the chuck noris part I didn't see how they portrayed Bradford before the mutation honestly so I can't judge it

CyberCubed 04-23-2015 05:16 PM

I don't mind the character, but they should have just given him a new name and made him into a new character. Giving him the same name as an old character is like a slap in the face to fans of Hun because they're nothing alike.

Candy Kappa 04-23-2015 05:17 PM

The best part is, I can buy the future release of Figma Bruce Lee, and I have a Hun, my revoltech Turtles can fight. Aaw yeah.

pennydreadful 04-23-2015 05:17 PM

I've got zero problems with the new version of Hun; I think his design is really nifty - I love his tattoos, and it's a new take on the character... really not the big deal that some people are making of it.

Like Powder, I've grown even fonder of the guy because of the wailing and gnashing of teeth that it's caused. Talk about a non-issue. :tlol:

Vicky82 04-23-2015 05:18 PM

I like Hun, he's awesome.

Neat! I wonder if anyone will customize him for that specific purpose. Wouldn't be hard.

Make me one? No it just means I don't take chats that are veiled with petty insults is all

My point stands as well some my not agree with me some might but my view still stands on it but I always respect other views

Lethal Lullaby 04-23-2015 06:08 PM

Hmm..I don't think I ever thought Bradford was based off Chuck Norris, but if he is that's pretty neat. ;;^w^;;

As for the question of this thread: I don't hate the new Hun. I think he's pretty awesome. But I think that about a lot of the characters in this show. >u<

And to you if people portray him as a villain in other media, it's an insult to his legacy? Please.
