such beauty

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 05-01-2015 01:28 PM

So far I'm disappointed. Been waiting for a rage war to start... :tsad:

IndigoErth 05-01-2015 01:58 PM

Ok I'm sure it probably sounds horrible to say, I give full permission to hit me if it's not very hard...but I'm disappointment the face isn't eating pizza.

MsMarvelDuckie 05-01-2015 02:03 PM

I think it already did....

Whatever....

If you guys are not going to take fat-shaming seriously, then I'm done. Go do whatever pleases you.

plastroncafe 05-01-2015 03:34 PM

No no, don't you see?
This doesn't count as fat shaming because they're just laughing at a fat woman and how disgusting they think her body is.
If they didn't do this, how would the rest of us fat people know what they think of us when we're not in the room?

When @ssholes let you know they're @ssholes it's a public service.

CyberCubed 05-01-2015 03:35 PM

There's no reason people should be that overweight unless they have some kind of medical condition. Being a little chubby is one thing, but THAT FAT?

CyberCubed 05-01-2015 03:39 PM

There's a difference between being a little chubby and grossly overweight. Nobody has a problem with slightly overweight people, we're talking about obesity.

I find it's both entertaining, and serves to illustrate just how seriously I'm taking a situation. I've had my sincerity called into question more than once, so this seems to be a serviceable work around.

Now please, continue to fat shame a complete stranger on the internet so that I, a fat woman, will know where I stand in your esteem.

You DO have your harpoon ready, right?

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 05-01-2015 04:54 PM

And the fight has finally started!

Threads like this remind me of a family... dysfunctional, disjointed, everybody picking fights and screaming at each other.

And I freely admit I'm not helping matters. But I ain't fat-shaming! I'm just hear to watch everybody call each other names in the latest installment of the Technodrome Sitcom. :tgrin:

...

I'd suck as a referee, wouldn't I? Or an ambassador? Or PR consultant? Yeah, working in a dark cubicle with headphones on is definitely the place for me...

Well if you're just using this thread to amuse yourself I won't bother responding to you again. I don't want to be apart of your silly game.

IndigoErth 05-01-2015 05:22 PM

Well feel free to let the anti-skinny comments fly, I mean fair is fair. (Well, if "fat shaming" comments are made by skinny people. Average in this day and age isn't exactly skinny.)

I do it allll the time and I'll never stop.

Like, when someone annoys me, I could just say, "You make me so mad I want to put you in the Camel Clutch, break your back and make you humble." And it'd be true. BUT, I find this to say the exact same thing while being substantially more obnoxious:
http://cdn.funnyhub.com/2014/dec/wre...g-fights10.gif

See? Way better that way.

I get you it's just that Cubed was making arguments against her points and instead of attempting to refute them she used gifs which doesn't help her case.

Leo656 05-01-2015 09:45 PM

Like anybody ever "Wins" The CyberCubed Game.

Nobody "Wins", you just flip the board over, stomp the pieces into the f*cking carpet and walk away.

plastroncafe 05-01-2015 10:03 PM

And here I was foolishly thinking I'd not only made my case, but supported it with evidence.
I came looking for concern trolling, and lo' and behold it appeared!
Like maaaaaaaaagic.

You're something else

That aside that pic is hilarious. It totally looks like a ninja turtle face.

C'mon man its the internets, if you can't take a joke and you focus on being butthurt and negative well...then

Jasey Cones 05-02-2015 06:51 AM

I love this site

such fun.....

plastroncafe 05-02-2015 09:43 AM

Whoa! Why am I the butthurt one? I'm just calling them like I see them. You all are the ones being upset about it.

You get bonus points for an additional commentary on how she had this coming because she ate too many pies and or pizza.

I'd say someone should make a harpoon joke, but sadly that ground has been salted by backpedaling.

Longview01 05-02-2015 02:00 PM

The general rule is

"its ok to mock people fatter than you"

I'm prob alot bigger than alot of you and would not be too bothered by your remarks.

Now someone post a "fatty fat fat kid" gif in my general direction so we can all have a chuckle at my expense.

I welcome it

OA 05-02-2015 03:09 PM

People make fun of people all the time for various reasons, and I'm not going to judge them for doing so. But in this specific case I think its at least worth mentioning that this woman is poking fun at herself. Presumably SHE put that top on, SHE painted her body, SHE posed...and I think its safe to say she did it for a laugh. And when you open yourself up like this, you shouldn't be surprised by the response.

plastroncafe 05-02-2015 04:13 PM

It's a Photoshop. And a pretty bad one too. Look over her right shoulder to see the green extend past her skin.

The POINT is, she still did it intentionally, presumably KNOWING that jokes galore would ensue. If the gal in question has enough sense of humor to poke fun at herself in such manner, I think it's safe to say she ain't gonna shed any tears over others making jokes, either. And it IS funny. Heck, I've seen pregnant women paint their stomachs with stuff just as weird or funny- one of my past bosses made a Jack-O-Lantern out of hers for Halloween. I'm all for fun body-art. If ya' got it, FLAUNT it, baby!!

plastroncafe 05-02-2015 06:33 PM

You know that for certain? That she did the Photoshop, I mean. I would think that if that was the case her face would be in the picture, rather than cropped out.

But no, you're probably right.

MsMarvelDuckie 05-02-2015 07:06 PM

It's a fair guess, going by the, erm, "outfit" she had on up top. PRETTY sure it was worn with the INTENTION of such an image in mind. Even if she didn't do it herself, the gal was obviously in on the joke. So- yeah.

Edit: And just a guess, here, but maybe she just didn't want to be identified? People do that all the time if they don't want their family or co-workers to know who's in the pic.

Powder 05-02-2015 07:10 PM

I've seen the full photo. She's posed with a cupcake, you know, the whole plus-size indulgence gimmick. She's putting herself out there as a model, yeah, but the photoshopped TMNT gag is I'm sure the work of a party with no relation. This picture has been circulating for months, but this is the first time I've seen it cropped. So maybe she complained about the meme & at least a few people had the courtesy to trim her head out. Dunno.
