what would you name yourself?

If you had the choice to name yourself at birth, what would you want your name to be?

Prowler 07-24-2015 08:19 AM

I'm fine with the name I was given, so I can't say I've ever thought about it. There are some names I find cool, but couldn't imagine myself bearing them.

Cure 07-24-2015 12:59 PM

Yeah, my name is already dope.

BubblyShell22 07-24-2015 01:50 PM

I'm happy with my name the way it is and I wouldn't change it for anything.

IndigoErth 07-24-2015 04:26 PM

That's a bit like asking if I'd get a nose job - I might be kinda "meh" on what I have, but nothing else would ever feel like it really suits me. Being known for years by certain screen names/nicknames of my choosing makes up for the meh-ness. ;)

DarkFell 07-24-2015 04:33 PM

I like my nickname a bit more than my real name, but both names are fine with me.

Peanut 07-24-2015 04:36 PM

Lucifer "Cifer" Darkshade The Hedgehog XIV*

*OC do not steal

Papenbrook 07-24-2015 05:29 PM

My current name is fine, but if I had a choice on my birth name, I would name myself "Autumn", as a result of Fall being my favorite season.

Powder 07-24-2015 05:37 PM

Carlos Chiang O'Brien Gambe.

CyberCubed 07-24-2015 07:06 PM

Most people usually think whatever name they're given is great.

Netkeeper 07-24-2015 07:09 PM

I've always been partial to Lance, but I don't like monosyllabic names.

MsMarvelDuckie 07-24-2015 10:05 PM

My name is just fine, after all, it's belonged to a queen, several cities, an Aussie province/state, and a waterfall! (Kudos to anyone who figures out what it is.)

First thing that comes to mind- Victoria?

My name was supposed to be Zoe or Joy, which I like both a lot more than my actual name, which is Greek and has too many syllables.

MsMarvelDuckie 07-24-2015 11:29 PM

Ding ding ding! We HAVE a winner!!

Leo656 07-24-2015 11:38 PM

My first name's fine, except nobody spells it right. But I always wished I had a more Irish last name, like O'Shea. That would'a been neat. Nobody pronounces my last name right because it's exclusive to my family (it got Anglicized when they came to America) and that's a little annoying.

My last name has a Northern English, Scottish, and northern Irish meaning. Yet hardly anyone ever says my entire last name where I live at.
So, you're not alone.

Leo656 07-24-2015 11:53 PM

My last name's not Irish at all, sadly, although my Mom's family name, Mahoney, sure is. I felt kinda gypped by that, that's a humdinger of a handle but it missed me by That Much.

My first name is Irish for either "God is Gracious" or "God's Gift", depending on who you ask. Appropriate.

GoldMutant 07-24-2015 11:55 PM

Strange how all of my names are basically first names, I could be set on using any of them.

If I had to choose, I'd want to use an Italian name. Otherwise, I would like to use Arthur as a new name.

Leo656 07-25-2015 12:02 AM

I started clicking around a little bit to see what I could find out about my last name. Apparently as a formal name it supposedly originated in Russia, but there are variations of it in Hebrew and other languages going back to Biblical times. It most commonly means "King" or "Victor of the People".

Nevermind, I ain't changin' sh*t. I lucked out more'n I thought I did.

MsMarvelDuckie 07-25-2015 12:09 AM

Heh, So did I. My maiden name roughly translates into "son of the storm" (it's Irish, so- yeah, I'm a Mick!)

Peanut 07-25-2015 12:21 AM

Roughly translated my name means "Gotta go fast...to Hell, b*tch!"

Lethal Lullaby 07-25-2015 12:28 AM

I'm fine with my name. Lol mine translates to "Pure" So not true. XD

Cure 07-25-2015 12:28 AM

Someone once told me a fun game to play is to Google "[Your Name] the Hedgehog" and see what you get.

Could be worse, I suppose. I wonder how this makes Jester feel.

Peanut 07-25-2015 12:30 AM

I will take credit for it, even if it wasn't me. This one is way better btw!

Cure 07-25-2015 12:31 AM

Oh God, it even has my last initial.

Ooh. I shall try this game.

Interesting. It's definitely got my first name spelled right for sure.

Same.

shuriken 07-25-2015 03:18 AM

Fulgencio as a middle name
But I'd keep my first name the same

Slade 07-30-2015 01:26 AM

I actually like the name Slade...

Roman.

Alexander. Which is my oldest son's name. Named him after Alexander the Great and all since he conquered and ruled the greater part of the known world before his death at the age of 33.
and Lex Luthor.

discordiatookie 07-30-2015 02:30 AM

I like my name. Michael. It's a name. I used to want a cooler name when I was younger, but these days I'm a fan.

Oh, and

ProactiveMan 07-30-2015 04:16 AM

Coolface McWicked?

I'm fine with my name - it's fairly common, there is only one way to spell it, and there are sever options for shortening. My surname is funny though, because there are two common ways to spell it and mine is the more straight forward way, but people often assume it's the more complicated spelling.

Electric 08-04-2015 01:52 AM

Fine with my name. However, I wish I had been one of those people to go by both their first and middle name, as I really like the way it flows, or even the two initials.

Though, one name that I just think is great is "Brooks" To me it sounds very formal and professional while still sounding modern

Mew 08-04-2015 02:00 AM

I'm a chef. But couldn't I be like Sanji!?

BabyTurtles 08-04-2015 02:26 AM

I like my name~ but I was always fond of Zoey or Juniper ^_^

DarkFell 08-04-2015 03:04 AM

Forgot to mention this in my last post on this thread, but at one time I was gonna be called Cheyenne. That name sounded pretty to my father. My mother thought of another name instead.
