I Don't Know Why I Love (Insert Here), But I Do

Ok so originally I was just making this topic for my post, but I figured, eh, let other people use it for theirs as well if they want. lol

So anyway, the thing I don't know why I love but do, is Megan Fox's April O'Neil.

Now, when I first saw the movie, I hated her April. I mean if I could think of one phrase to describe her back then it would be batshit crazy. I mean those scenes of her with the tapes of the turtles and how she even freaked out her roommate.

But now, and I don't know when it happened, but all of a sudden I love her April, I think for the fact that she's batshit crazy.

I mean it is kinda refreshing in a way, April's always the straight character.

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 02-14-2016 05:39 PM

Oh yeah. This thread right here is gonna yield some epic content. I can feel it.

TheSkeletonMan939 02-14-2016 05:42 PM

So, uh... you're saying that Megan Fox did a performance that was so bad that it went past being bad and somehow came out as good?

Maybe? Was the batshit crazy angle the result of bad acting? I mean it could be yeah, overacting and all. But then there's roommates reaction so I kinda leaning towards it being intentional.

IndigoErth 02-14-2016 06:03 PM

See, the roommate is who we need more of. lol But she was the only smart human character, she got out when she could.

Really though, I'd love for her to still have contact with April and continue to think she's nuts. :tlol: Make it like a running gag through films.

I'd contribute a like to this, but generally I do know why I like what I like...

Powder 02-14-2016 06:30 PM

To try & make good use of this thread I'll say Raph's Campbell's Soup arm guard. So wrong, yet, resourceful/clever.

TheSkeletonMan939 02-14-2016 06:34 PM

I actually liked how the lair and their gear seemed designed from ordinary objects they found in the trash... as opposed to, say, the 2003 series where they have really nice computers and TVs and stuff.

Autbot_Benz 02-14-2016 06:35 PM

Donnie's tech Bo Staffs. As silly as they are I really like them though wonder why they didn't use a regular Bo staff.

ToTheNines 02-14-2016 06:40 PM

Johnny Knoxville's Leonardo voice.

Etsyturtle2 02-14-2016 06:40 PM

Eric sacks. He seems like a good character who could do well as a stand alone villain without white shredder reshoot drama. and wasn't the roommate kind of a missed Irma opportunity. Even just calling her Irma would beat taylor.

Also loved Knoxville as Leo.

Eh, I know why I love April, the batshit crazy thing.

I mostly just made the topic as such since as far as I know the majority thought on these movies is Not Good. So I figured I'd make a title fitting with that. Y'know, for funny. Probably should of said that in my opening post though.

Only with Orange Crush though, right?

Eel sushi. I have no idea why, but it's delicious.

Tastes like the ocean but in a good way. Nice and light.

If it's unagi nigiri and not in a roll then it's nice and warm from being cooked and the edges are just crisp enough, and that eel sauce? Oh man. Don't even get me started.

Raphael's design is the least bad of all the Turtles. You barely notice the nostrils on him. If all the Turtles looked like Raph it wouldn't be that bad.

IndigoErth 02-15-2016 05:56 PM

Seriously....? I like his the least, in terms of nose it just looks a bit dog-like to me. I still say he's got some bulldog genes in there or something. :tlol: (Which I suppose could make sense, why would you experiment exactly the same on several different lab animals.)

 Classic 'Cubed complaint.

One thing no one seems to talk about is Raph's little speech at the end, when they're all about to die. I liked that. But then they turned it into another lame-ass joke and negated it.

Utrommaniac 02-16-2016 09:29 AM

Well, I have seen people talk about it, but only how he was talking normally while the fall was passing in slow motion.

As such, at normal speed, he'd be chipmunk'd

I don't know why I love Megan Fox's ass but I do.

Will Arnett's portrayal of Vernon Fenwick. I really hope he gets some screen time with Mikey. I kinda want to see those two hanging out.

Don't get me wrong my All time favorite movie will always be the very first Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That said I like this movie even as an adult.

I'm going to agree with this one. Until she opens her mouth then it just ruins it.

I love that Arnett is in these movies. The Arrested Development sandwich reference was probably the best thing to come out of the first movie.

I don't know why I love to hate on TMNT 2014, but I do

You know, I don't know why I love the nostrils on the Turtles, but I do.

I don't know why I love Eric Sach's "stupid rich" line delivery, but I do. I really, really do.

IndigoErth 02-22-2016 04:02 PM

Okay, good point, I do love how he delivered some of those [kind of ridiculous] lines.

"Let. Me. Look. At. You." :tlol: The man is brilliant with bad dialogue. (But what I wouldn't have given for Leo to have been allowed to tell him what he could go do to himself.)

This thread is in the Bayturtles section, so naturally it's about aspects of the Bayturtles movie(s).

Utrommaniac 02-22-2016 06:20 PM

The one thing I took from this was the single tiny bit where Raphael was knitting. For some reason, I really like this modern attribute to Raph. Maybe because it's a distraction from his angry and broody persona, which has gotten incredibly sour on me, no matter what version it's coming from.

The smell of petrol.

It's a good smell....
