Official Episode Description: S4 EP 13: The Ever-Burning Fire

The episode is up on ITunes, Also can any of the mods sticky this thread please and un sticky the old episode threads.

The team must overcome impossible odds in order to obtain the final Black Hole Generator piece.

Redworld96 04-17-2016 02:26 AM

Saw it, really good. Chompy is very cute ^^
Spoiler:
As I was expecting, Triceratons have now all the pieces and they have built the BHG. But at the end with one of them saying "I have also discovered something you will find .... amusing" .
I am pretty sure that it involves Fugitoid with the BHG

Vicky82 04-17-2016 02:56 AM

Wow awesome episode, it was so intense.

I can't wait for next week. But I wonder if Nick will put the episode up early as it's the mid season final.

Spoiler:
So Dregg is dead, or is he

Spoiler:
I've noticed some foreshadowing in that Chris Bradford Cartoon, that monster drinking that stuff to make him bigger obviously foreshadowing Super Shredder

cookie jar 04-17-2016 03:40 AM

IMO this is the best episode of the space arc. It was good episode.

Fang Wolf 04-17-2016 06:01 AM

It's was good episode. :)
Oh NO! Mozar the Heart of Darkness in his paws again. :o
Now It's be ending of earth! *I hope not this time...*

ObiWanFan4life 04-17-2016 09:02 AM

"I'm sick of space". My sentiments exactly, Mikey.

GoldMutant 04-17-2016 09:07 AM

I made a funny! -Fugitoid (movie reference yay)

saintsaucey 04-17-2016 09:22 AM

No I knew that too.

Powder 04-17-2016 09:32 AM

That was a darn good one. The wait to find out what happens now is gonna kill me!

veemonjosh 04-17-2016 09:32 AM

Spoiler for stupid little reference barely anyone here will probably get:
Dregg never returned to another planet. Trapped in a form half-bug, half-ice, he wandered the depths of space eternally. Eventually, craving death but unable to die, Dregg stopped thinking.

The Happy One 04-17-2016 09:34 AM

Wow...um, that was...something else.

But, yeah, I gotta go with Mikes on this one. I miss New York, too.

But good episode either way:tthumbsu:

Does above think though, that something was fishy about Fugituod this episode??

ToTheNines 04-17-2016 09:35 AM

Anyone catch the Cudley reference at the beginning?

HA-the nazi in that story was the basis for Guile.

GREAT episode, and I REALLY hope 2K12 Tokka comes back, LADY GAMERA FOR THE WIN!

Also-WE HAVE OUR TIMELOOP ladies and gentlemen!

GoldMutant 04-17-2016 09:43 AM

Overall, not too shabby an episode! Certainly among the best this season, though personally that's not saying much. Chompy is adorable though I find a little unnecessary. Otherwise, decent plot, characterization (about time for Raph being a perfect blend!), and sets up the next episode.

Two main issues though, the animation like The Moons of Thalos 3 doesn't feel spectacular. As I mentioned there, the animation didn't feel entirely executed to it's fullest potential, just the generic red and black. Also, compared to The Cosmic Ocean this episode and Moons felt a little lackluster without enough colors.

Besides that, why was Dregg even here? I understand because of the alliance with the Triceratons, but he almost felt unnecessary to everything. When last episode left a lot of questions unanswered and then nothing to specify on it, Dregg feels like a waste. Heck, he's been a waste of a villain since the beginning with a pitiful motive and just not doing too well. His whining in the beginning just sums up my feelings of Dregg in this series: a once promising addition reduced to nothing but a spoiled brat. If he doesn't return, my analogy of him being like a child is right. :ohwell:

Other than pacing, nothing really to complain about. I'll give it a 6.5 out of 10.

Splinter the boss 04-17-2016 09:52 AM

Nice episode. I had one issue with it, though. Dregg was tossed around and manipulated easily. Can't wait for next episode. And to the person who said that 'something amusing' is related to Fugitoid and bhg, I think that is the moment they realize the Kraang was hiding on earth.

ObiWanFan4life 04-17-2016 09:55 AM

I liked it, I didn't love it, but I liked it. And I am so glad that this is the last episode in the Space Arc.

So far, this has been my least favorite season, hopefully, we can end this season on a high note.

Yoshimickster 04-17-2016 09:58 AM

I'm okay with them doing it this way, make the first half a silly adventure season, and the second half a more serious one! ALSO-who wants to bet Karai dethrones Oroku Saki as Shredder?

You do know we still got the 2nd half the season to get through yet, after the hiatus.

Yes, I know. But I seriously hope that the second half flows better than the first.

pannoni1 04-17-2016 10:08 AM

For all the potential this episode brought, it didn't quite deliver like it could have. Besides Dregg perhaps ruining yet another TMNT series, it felt too predictable with the incoming attacks, escapes, fragment retrieval, and teaser for the next episode. Too much comic relief with Chompy and the Fugitoid, and the Triceratons felt a bit too silly here, and I really wanted more communication between them and Dregg to make it more interesting. There was a scary moment though with Casey/April nearly falling into the fire though. The end of this arc can't come soon enough.

Overall: 5/10

Yeah and Mikey falling into the lava was also scary.

It's his opinion, let's not start another debate over disagreements. I don't feel Chompy was comic relief, but his main purpose this episode was just to be adorable outside the story with Tokka.

I wasn't disagreeing over it, It just surprised me.

I'm betting so, this was a silly season with a serious overarching plot, give the writers a chance to have all sorts of fun! I'm cool with it, because I've been LOVING the monster designs we've been getting.

IndigoErth 04-17-2016 10:25 AM

Pretty good, definitely left me wanting the next episode right now. And... well that was easy to see coming, the part of the ground is the back of Tokka and she's Chompy's mother... yup. (And had kind of figured all along that the Turtles would have to try to stop everything once again on Earth or nearly there.)

I guess we know the actual fate of the world someday then (meanwhile Turtles are oblivious to this detail lol), destined to turn into a ball of lava thanks to Chompy; lets hope he (or should it really be she if Tokka presumably is a mateless space monster and they just hatch out clone babies as a replacement) takes eons to become what mom is/was.

Chompy - adorable. :D:tlove: ICK has some new competition for cute pet once they get home. Though that sound may get annoying if overdone. Nick and Playmates... hope there is going to be a toy Chompy out there at some point. :)

TigerClaw 04-17-2016 10:42 AM

It was a pretty good episode, Chompy was cute, I just wonder how Slash is gonna react when he sees Raph having a new pet.

Probably betrayed "RAPH! Are you CHEATING ON ME?!" Leading to a very awkward discussion.

picassotheninjaturtle 04-17-2016 10:44 AM

Did anybody see Cudley the Cowlick as one of the six cosmic monsters?

Utrommaniac 04-17-2016 12:15 PM

Spoiler:
Well, turns out the paradox is mostly resolved, sort of. We know how the Triceratons got the pieces in the first place. Now it's a matter of putting the Earth back in place. Changing the timeline sort of doesn't work, since they'd cancel themselves out.

Spoiler:
And that Gamera shoutout with Tokka. I'm just waiting for someone to play the theme song after she (...I GUESS) blasts into space.

CyberCubed 04-17-2016 12:15 PM

This episode was great, people who don't think the space episodes are well done are kidding themselves. They all have unique landscapes to base episodes on with different planets and ship battles.

Triceratons and Dregg were well done. I also like this version of Tokka being a giant fire breathing Turtle...although I do perhaps wonder if Chompy will turn into "Tokka Jr." at some point on Earth.

Utrommaniac 04-17-2016 12:26 PM

It seems like Granitor is another one of the six beings for some reason?
Cudley Cowlick I can understand, though.
And who are the other three? Cthulu, a tick, and Audrey II?

Okay, not Audrey II, it's Hiidalra's pet in The Cosmic Ocean.

CyberCubed 04-17-2016 12:27 PM

Can anyone post a screencap of the constellations?

Hero 04-17-2016 01:02 PM

Episode acquired. Time to watch! ;)

Vicky82 04-17-2016 01:12 PM

The amount of times Mikey nearly getting killed in this episode, also saving April a few times these past few episodes.

I feel that they are foreshadowing something bad will happen to Mikey maybe from saving someone's life.

Turtle-X 04-17-2016 01:15 PM

it was a good episode but there were too many 'oh no! we're falling into lava!' moments.

Hero 04-17-2016 02:34 PM

Wow! So many close calls there.

Absolutely loved Tokka! What a spectacle. Chompy too. Not only will he make a new addition to the family, but also something to show for the space arc. I can see him/her sticking around for the long run.

The way Fugitoid pilots the ship his head exposed in the control panel reminds me of the Zeroids from Terrahawks. Just dawned on me.

shredder orokusaki 04-17-2016 02:48 PM

It was a good episode and a episode where the triceratons won! HAHAHHA Turtles suck!! One more episode until the earth is saved and i continue fighting the turtles!!!
