The Next Mutation Complete Series DVD

Walmart has an exclusive "The Next Mutation: The Complete Series" DVD set out now.

CylonsKlingonsDaleksOhMy 05-10-2016 02:52 PM

And yet we can't get a complete 4Kids series DVD set to save our lives.

Typical.

The-Shredder 05-10-2016 03:51 PM

What's strange is that it came out today and it's currently sold out. Also, there's a definite improvement in the cover art, but something about Leonardo looks off.

yeah

the cover art is really nice. wasnt expecting to like it as much when i saw it in person. There was only 2 of them left at my local walmart when i went there this afternoon.

Shark_Blade 05-10-2016 08:58 PM

It looks great tbh. I wouldn't mind getting it eventhough I don't really fancy the show.

sdp 05-10-2016 09:04 PM

It looks nice and looks designed to cash-in on the movie. Are these the same 4 discs from the previous complete series set and volume releases?

Autbot_Benz 05-10-2016 09:12 PM

Walmart can keep it that should be a 5 dollar bargin dvd. Nobody should have to pay full price for TNM Nobody.

If anyone picks this up, I'd be curious to know if it has all the same edits as the previous releases. (I'm guessing that it does, but you never know.)

Nortock Diab 05-11-2016 01:39 AM

Are the Power Rangers episodes from the crossover included?

I second this!

Gunstar_Red 05-11-2016 07:21 AM

It's out-of-stock at all my local Walmarts. I think give it a week and they should be appearing on shelves. (It's usually the case.)

I'm not sure if I would really buy it though since I already have the previous release...

Krutch 05-11-2016 07:30 AM

Another item that didn't make it to Canada, it seems.

turtlefanforever 05-11-2016 07:54 AM

yeah

Yes according to the sticker & the music video.

To be fair, "Complete Series" and "Complete First Season" means the same thing for TNM, but not for the 2003 series. Go figure :P

Yes, true. But still. Why repackage crap when you could repackage chocolate instead?

Because they can repackage chocolate in bite sizes? And people might still buy it?

Nobody is going to buy crap in bite sizes. Being in a chunk though, it would still serve well as fertilizers.

Alright I'm talking crap right now

CyberCubed 05-11-2016 12:44 PM

Do you think any kids today would be shocked to discover a female Turtle?

Of course. Venus is obscure.

sdp 05-11-2016 02:07 PM

If they're selling it, it's because people are obviously buying it.

In the age of the internet I doubt many things are "obscure", especially something as infamous as Venus. Also how "shocked" can kids really get, not anymore than when we were kids and saw it.

What are the edits besides the music/intro being different?

nellyp 05-11-2016 04:01 PM

Even though Walmart.com is not giving many details and it doesn't show up on any Canadian sites for me to buy, and the show is not overly good...this DVD is certified turtlefied!

Someone had to say it. :P

All posts relating to torrent, ripping and downloading the series has been removed. Please keep piracy talk off the forums.

Turns out these are edited, too. Just repackaged discs from the last two volumes.

MsMarvelDuckie 05-29-2016 06:49 PM

Yup. The crossover is in it, as is the music video. It also has some extras according to the box. My local Wal-Mart has several copies and I might pick one up. They don't exactly sell like hotcakes in my area. Not only is it a fairly obscure version of TMNT, butvthere aren't a lot of big turtle fans where I am. I'm probably the biggest one within 10 miles!
