Dream Ex SHREDDER

Other pictures here: https://www.facebook.com/TMNTItalia/...60762017276643 The best Shredder figure ever made...if it only was 1/12... |
so much better than that other ugly ass shredder gokin figure.
Dammit Dream EX I wish Playmates would let you make these in 7 inch form. |
So looks like Dream Ex will be the first to have real characters other than the turtles. Only hope for a 1/12 collection is Bandai. This Shredder is amazing and Casey is great too. If the turtles look good I'll jump on. If Bandai reveals more characters that will be a tough choice because even though we would obviously love a Bandai 1/12 collection like they have with Dragon Ball or Star Wars, for $60 is a pop if these realistic 1/6 are priced close to $100 then we have real competition going.
|
hmm ill have to get this one
|
Aye, I want this one! :tlove:
|
whether its First gokin, or its Dream EX or 3 zero, Im glad that finally there is a choice ,
are they only doing the Human TMNT characters? i wonder... I will be blown away if we get a Krang figure from Dream EX. |
Now THAT is beautiful. I'll have all my decisions finalized in 3 weeks after SDCC and the reveals therein.
|
this is a beauty!!!
|
Where would one be able to buy this?
|
*Clutches chest* It's beautiful! The mask even comes up! And Krang's even on the telecommunicator.
I'll take this with a Gokun Krang...in bubble walker. |
DAMN! That is a beautiful Shredder.... If only it was 1:12th scale.
|
Boy, that's nice. Won't get it due to scale & price, but it sure is a lovely piece.
|
Holy crap, that is amazing! Beautiful!
|
We've seen both Shredder and Casey's finished figure, but we've only seen the Turtles' non-articulated resin models from Toy Fair?
|
I must have this!
|
Man, Shredder's original cartoon design still holds up to this day.
|
I dont share the opinion on this that everyone else seems to have...
Overall it seems like this thing couldnt decide if it wanted to be the 91 movie shredder or the OT shredder... Sadly I will still prob buy it cause its the best one to date... |
Anyone seen a release date or price?
|
Ooze is purple in the OT, man. At least in season one, & various other episodes across the series. They had a bunch of different colors, but purple was a primary one.

I still think the rest are valid... Also its hard to keep track of all these figs haha.... Dream EX, MONDO, Gokin, 3Zero....sheesh |
Ironically, the communicator is supposed to be purple, but is instead black. :tlol:
|
I NEED THIS WITH ALL MY HEART! /faints
|
As gorgeous as this Shredder and the DreamEx Casey are, I know I'll sadly have to pass. With all these larger scale figures and their steep prices I'm getting to the point where I probably won't be buying stuff for my collection anymore unless it's vintage. I cant afford these kind of figures which really bums me out.

I like this a lot. A 1:6 Shredder will be great in the 1:6 cabinet.
|
Very cool. I have minor gripes, (stupid tech lines on everything these days) but this is SOOOO much better than pin-head Shredder.
|
As I said elsewhere...
Holy crap. I really wish it was 6" scale... but I am awful tempted to get him as a centerpiece of my TMNT collection. Wasn't super thrilled by the Casey Jones as he wasn't a big part of the original toon... but wow. All they have to do is announce Bebop and Rocksteady in this line and I give in. Shredder flanked by the Gruesome Twosome in this scale would be a thing of pure beauty. |
I'm not a fan. The helmet looks bulky, and I prefer a smooth and polished chrome look as opposed to the textured look. That, and there are unnecessary seams on his clothing.
At some point, we'll get something better. There is no dearth of awesome TMNT stuff coming out right now. |
Does he have "steps" cut into his hair? Scars?
|
Detail will always be added when you take a flat 2-Dimensional cartoon character and have to make a 3-Dimensional realistic product out of them. That's why you have metal that looks like metal rather than flat silver plastic. It's certainly less jarring than the First Gokin Shredder.

Personally, I'm really happy to see more 1/6th scale product.
I get the desire for the smaller stuff for people with huge collections, etc, but you just can't get the detail in. Henson Turtles @ 1/6th is the grail for me. |
I wouldn't mind having a shelf of 1/6 scale TMNT stuff. Dream Ex Casey and Shredder look great. But this leaves me with a big question of what 1/6 scale turtles I'd like to go with them, if any.
I don't want the Bay design 1/6 scale ThreeZero turtles because I don't want to drop that much money on those designs. I don't want the Mondo 1/6 scale Mirage turtles because I have the NECA Mirage versions and they are perfect. No need to re-buy something that I love. I don't want the Eastman concept design Three Zero turtles because I don't like the designs. I've seen a preview pic of the Dream Ex turtles and from what I've seen, they are meh. But I guess they are the best candidates for the job so far. Maybe pics of actual product will change my mind. Or perhaps maybe this will just be a turtle-free shelf. |

It's a problem. My other grail is Neca's Mirage Turtles, but scaled to Palladium heights, with more detail, in 1/6th. |

When I go back and look at these again...I think they are growing on me. They really do look like recent Eastman covers come to life...Price and 1/6 scale though...ugh http://www.threezerostore.com/index....117&lang=en-US |
Nevermind...I saw Donny's bandanna and Raph's tiger stripes and remembered why I didnt like those...

The Dream Ex turtles are different, I believe. I've only seen them in the unpainted prototype stages. |
You brought them up, he was replying to you.
