Is TMNT meets WWE on the way for a crossover cartoon/movie?

With the news of the WWE turtles figures, and WWE's recent crossovers with Scooby Doo, Surfs up and The Flintstones. You have to wonder.

Wait what? WWE TMNT action figures? Really? That is pretty cool.

God I hope so

If it does happen it'll probably be in the Nick comic and not in anything else. The Nick comic did a basketball crossover and has a Batman crossover coming up.

The basketball crossover sucked, Batman could be okay, but if they crossover with WWE then it would probably not go well.

When I was a kid, I used to play with my TMNT action figures alongside my wrestling ones. So something like this happening sounds cool to me on paper. :)

I hope so, if for no other reason than the fic that comes from the TMNT getting all up-close and personal with greased up grown men in their underwear will be EPIC.

Y'know, I'm really disapointed that we didn't get a stump wrestling episode in season 4.

That could be the final act. Which four wrasslers' would they take though? I say Reigns, Ambrose, Cena, and Rollins for name recognition

that's funny. I could see Raph hanging out with Stone Cold using his "cool but rude" persona. Steve Austin stunning the turtles would be quite the sight or Stunning Shredder for that matter.

If i'm going off personalities matching them up, i'd prob go...

Raph/Stone Cold
Donnie/Damien Sandow or William regal just because those are the only "smart" wrestlers i can think of but that really doesn't seem right at all lol.

i haven't watched pro wrestling in a while so i'm sure there's better ones.

Ideally for me, the wrestlers that'd be in this would be #1. The Undertaker cause he's my favorite, 2. Brock Lesnar (2nd favorite), 3. Stone Cold. i don't really care who else is in it after that lol Probably Dolph Ziggler, one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster that doesn't get the push, same goes for Cody Rhodes but at least they pushed him at some point.

PS. i think Heyman managing Raph would be funny as heck. Raph angry and wanting to fight all the time. Heyman can use the same stuff he uses to pump up lesnar

A shame Rock left. This could be the closet thing to us having The Rock in a TMNT movie.

Plots?
 

i'll make a horrible attempt at a plot. And i'll try and make it logical, nothing like "vince McMahon has been using the sewers and new york water to dump waste and the turtles have to stop him by going through his roster of wrestlers"

Mikey convinces the turtles to go to a WWE match in New York. Brock Lesnar is in a match, his opponent is one of the wrestlers that brings someone from the crowd into the ring before the match. Mikey gets chosen, Brock grabs the mike and says something mean about mikey, Raph get angry and storms in there, Leo tries to stop him saying "it's just part of the show"; Raph then puts lesnar on his butt, nobody can believe someone did that to Lesnar. The announcers are all "who's this mysterious wrestler" and Heyman starts managing Raph as this unstoppable wrestler.

During his Reign the turtles befriend some of the wrestlers. They have some wacky antics and what not. Shredder see's the popularity and following Raph is getting of being on this stage and he see's it as some wacky scheme he can get more foot clan members and take over the world. He then raids the WWE with some foot the next time their in New york which happens to be the royal rumble (just cause i think that'd be cool) there's a big match with all the wrestlers and foot in the ring at the same time. Shredder and the foot lose. The end.

Not much seems pretty complete but it's something. I really don't see an angle they'd attack this on. You have any ideas?

No idea. I'd need to think harder and maybe wirte a small fanfic someday about this.

Remember in the FW series the TMNT watch wrestling in a few episodes. They were defo wrestling fans. Don't think they watched wrestling in the 4Kids series, tho.

By the time they'd animate a TMNT/WWE crossover, half the roster will have been changed up on television due to injuries, suspensions, or releases. It's happened with virtually every animated endeavour.

If they do try an animated crossover, what continuity would it take place in?

If it were me, I'd do a special DTV featuring the FW Turtles. I know some people on this forum are sick of them, but hear me out. Since the idea of a WWE/TMNT crossover seems silly anyway, I figure you might as well go full cheese.

The plot could go something like this:

In the Technodrome, Krang explains that he has a new super weapon but the only missing component is a rare special type of gold. Bebop and Rocksteady mess with the Dimensional portal to use as a TV to watch a WWE match. Krang realizes that the WWE Championship belt contains the gold he needs and orders Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady to steal it. They go to the surface, realize the place is crawling with high tech security or something(with a fourth wall joke about wrestling being serious business), learn that there's some Tournament for the belt and enter Bebop and Rocksteady as gimmick wrestlers. The turtles catch wind of the plan, join the tournament, yadda yadda and eventually join forces with some WWE wrestlers to fight against WWE heel wrestlers brainwashed by Shredder to keep him from stealing the belt, etc.

Of course, this is all just a silly idea. I mean, you can try to make a crossover with the other continues.

If Viacom/Nick decide to do this it would of course be done with the Nick Turtles. No question asked.

And far more likely in the Nick animated comic than the cartoon for that matter, since production values will be far less and they can split the profits easier.

If it does happen then Sheamus should voice himself and Rocksteady.
