About the new show
 

Well im waiting for the new show like everyone else but i have little doubts about it. They say that it will be more like original mirage comics, But 4kids and saturday morning...
For example in comics they use their weapons against enemies. In the original cartoon they didnt well not many times anyway.
So what do you think? Can it be like the mirage comics?

Lets just hope for the best...

i hope so i always thought mirage was better than archie :D

I think they're going for a good compromise between the silly, non-violent cartoon and the more serious, dark Mirage comics. I can see the Turtles using they're weapons, but we won't see any blood or serious injuries.

yes i know there in not going to be blood and im ok with it as long as they use their weapons.

i wish there was blood :evilgrin: like in the first comics (but then kids woudln't be able to see it, too bad eh?) , but i kinda like some tmnt archie comics :)

Yeah it is sure that there will be no blood... Its saturday morning!

Oh well, at least they'll be back on tv again that's what I'm happy about. But like you guys I do hope at least they'll fight more, and with they're weapons. However in the orig cartoon, they sometiems acted like they were helpless without their weapons, ohhhhhkay! They are ninjas are they not?

Yes, you're right about the weapons thing. "A ninja is a master of himself and his environment!" I'm sure they won't be so helpless in this new cartoon. I can't wait to see it! In case I won't have a VCR at the dorms, I've already asked my mom to tape the show for me. Of course, she thinks I'm insane, but what else is new? ;)

Yeah lets just wait and see and hope for the best! :)
I think mirage comics are the true form of tmnt. But i know that its supposed to be kid's show... But if it gets even near the athmosphere of the first movie i will be happy with it! :wink:

Hmm...I think the insanity of this place scared her away...I do hope she comes back soon.

in the old cartoons, the ninja turtles used their weapons only against the machines. if it's against living things, leo or ralph usually disarms the enemies with the enemy or uses their weapon to corner their enemes. mike and don would still use their weapons vs living things (i.e. don would use the bo to trip the 2 stooges etc.). that is from the best of my memories (i could be wrong cause i don't remember the whole series).

i think we did scare away lisardo. is she a ninja turtles fan? of course she is. anyway... i don't recall much of the animated series... its been YEARS since i saw any ninja turtle animated episode. that is why i am looking foward to DLing them with my 56k modem.

You're right, King. Leo and Raph often used their weapons only against machinery. A clever way for the cartoon to avoid bloodshed. ;)

like the footsoldiers, i dunno, but i think th reason they r robots in the cartoon is for them to freely use their weapons against them :)

Yeah and besides the explosions were cool in the 1987 episodes!! :D :) :D
They should of kept the crazy Ninja Gear though that stuff was awesome but when they started using laser blasters and got beaten with something slapstick or ridiculous thats when the action of the show severly droped :(

i've readed that the first season got animated in japan...uhhhhhhhhh, i think not...but anyone knows if that is true? :-?

Y'know, I've heard rumors that certain scenes of the first season were done in Japan. I think that explains why Krang looks "anime-ish" in some of the scenes...I'm not sure, though...

The drawings are very diffrent and the action scenes are more like Japanimation (and also very cool :evilgrin:) Also coloring and pieces of animation were done overseas all the time

where do u see the japanese anime in krang? in his eyes(that's where it usually is)?

in Enter the Shredder you can tell by the detail in which he is drawn

I must say, that I liked the TMNT cartoon very much and I', quite curious on the new cartoon.
But fist cartoon was running many years ago and I wish to have all episodes at home, on tape or on my comp. I already have some of them, in rm format, downloaded from ninjaturtles network, but there are any downloads no more. So if anybody has downloaded some episodes and wants to change CD with me, so let me know. Write me email, I would appreciate it.
