This is what I was thinking. I would have loved these, but kids today? Probably not as much. I'm thinking today would more likely be the turtles dressed as Marvel characters over GB.

I can't see Raph as Ironman, and I have a hard time seeing Raph as not-hulked Banner.

He's good at what he does, but a tirefire of a person when it comes to anything else.

If Playmates were smart, they'd be doing these wacky variants in the style of the original toyline. C'mon guys. Revive it. You're clearly marketing these to 30 year olds in the first place.

Someone once made a Ghostbusters custom using Pro Pilot Don as the base & it was perfect. They should've just gone in that direction.

At first these were really disturbing to me. I agree with Powder that they should've gone retro with them. BUT on the positive side, my 4 year old will love these. He recently snagged all my Real GB figures and since I'm missing Ray he uses Leo. Despite my lack of support for modern Playmates, I'll definitely be getting them for him.

They look super creepy... Why the freaky facemorph, normal Turtles in GB suits would be so much better.

I thought these were some kind of late April fools day joke at first. It still might be a prank that Playmates is playing and tomorrow they will show the real set. :trolleye:

Mixing human faces with the turtles was a mistake. Donnie looks like his bay movie counterpart almost. I don't think anyone has ever said they wanted Bill Murray as a Ninja Turtle at least not like this.

Sigh...if only these could've been released in 1990 they would have literally been my 8 year old's self dream!

Didn't the concept artists use Murray as reference for PD Mikey? (Tom Hanks was Leo, Eastwood as Raphael and Nimoy as Donnie)

Whose weird idea was it to make them look half like the Ghostbusters characters, rather than just dressing them up in the gear..? I just want Turtles in the gear, not the result of the Ghostbusters guys having had a hot night with Venus once back in '97.

If they want to punk out on the paint aps and NOT include painted eyebrows that would be a start and entirely OKAY.

The outfits and boots are adorable thorough, I'll give it that. Maybe a head swap with a regular figure would work. (Unless this is a big figures line.)

Michelangelo looks like Leisure Suit Larry, and I'm not sure I was ready to see Raph wearing a moustache... they're not THAT bad though... kind'a cute.

Mike and Raph...their choices fit for the Nick toon alright but if we wanted to go for the original toon I'd have switched em around since Raph was the more sarcastic one.

I'd have preferred normal turtle heads too. Wonder if we will maybe be able to swap on some other heads easily enough. Maybe from deluxe line Nick heads? Maybe I should grab some of those...hmm...

i was shocked. but i love the concept. these are better than the wrestling figures. its the best of both worlds. i'm so gonna get these. these are just the best surprise ever.

I honestly would rather just the Ghostbusters have been added to the TMNT line, like they did with Usagi and Savage Dragon. The Turtles-dressed-like-other-characters was cool when I was a kid but these are supposed to be the collector's line, no? While I'm guessing a few older fans would like these, I can't imagine the majority would.

This s**t over Krang and Shredder is baffling.

Not sure that's how that works.

Sure the face morphs are weird, but that's what makes these so fun! Take that away and you have the four turtles in identical body molds. yawn. :sleep:

Raph should be Venkman, Mikey should be Ray, and Leo should be Winston. How can you f*ck up this badly? It's like they see Bill Murray and automatically think "comedic actor? lol must be Mikey".

Have them being the Turtles dressed like the GB and I would be all over this but having these weird fusions... yeah, I don't want to be anywhere near this... this things... :tconfuse:

I know the fusion is odd but I think it's unique. I plan on picking these up
