NT: the Next Mutation Vs. Charmin!!!

Which do you think is better?
The entire Next-Mutation Series
Or, a single roll of Charmin?

Personally, I think it's the Charmin, hands down!!!

Not only is Charmin more useful than Next-Mutation, it's also more entertaining to watch on TV than Next-Mutation EVER was! :P

GK Punk 10-29-2003 02:04 AM

Gotta give it to the toilet paper...

Karpo_007 10-29-2003 07:57 AM

Natrually I don't have that excat brand here, but I choose toilet paper in general.

Deathknight 10-29-2003 08:54 AM

... If I was a moderator I'd lock this topic right now. Most pointless topic ever.

J Legault 10-29-2003 09:00 AM

Again with this Charman. This type of topic is pointless.

It's like Old Cartoons vs. New Cartoons.

Hrm.. yeah, it's pointless (Or is it scientific?) But How is it like Old Cartoon Vs New Cartoon? It's comparing The Live action show To A roll of toilet paper.

Karpo_007 10-29-2003 09:38 AM

Well I don't know, if Tetsu wants know whic people enjoy more, Next Mutation or toilet paper, I think he has the right to ask...

GK Punk 10-29-2003 09:40 AM

So True.

I mean seriously, I'm kind of interested in seeing what the TMNT fan community thinks about this. It's kind of odd, yet interesting all at once.

That Matt Guy 10-29-2003 10:59 AM

I say nuts to your toilet paper! I'm voting for Next Mutation.

Still Say Next Mutation was a good show and worthy nad the turtle legacy

I also say this topic should be locked, if we can't bash the old toon, I don't think we should be able to bash Next Mutation

Couldn't disagree with you more.

heretic888 10-29-2003 03:39 PM

ugh

The Next Mutation was just.... painful. *shudders*

Now, don't get me wrong... it had a lot of cool ideas floating around and a lot of potential could have been tapped into to make it really interesting. But it was all executed so poorly (first off, it should have been animated) that it just turned the whole thing into a large pile of fecal matter.

My vote goes to the TP. :D

jeff the cheff 10-29-2003 03:50 PM

I would rather watch toilet paper on T.V.....

But I would rather wipe with the next mutation...

We can't bash the old toon because that's what the site is themed around; bashing the old toon would be bashing the site and it's administrators.

Also, anybody who thinks TNM was 'worthy' of ANY kind of praise wouldn't know a good show if it bit 'em in the arse. Even for kid's show, it was horrible.

Honestly, that's the wittiest thing I've seen you say so far on here!

Leo656 10-29-2003 07:16 PM

If you find THIS pointless then just save yourself the trouble and never click on ANY of Brother Tetsu's threads! They're all deliciously random and full of off-topicky goodness! :D

Duke 10-29-2003 07:31 PM

Toilet paper serves a purpose something the Next Mutation never did.

I don't believe Next Mutation is good enough to wipe with. Give me the Charmin.

Shellfox 10-29-2003 09:36 PM

Next Mutation was there when Turtles were becomeing extinct. With out it, they just may have died out.

And if you can't see the dimond through the coal, to bad for all of you, Next Mutation was good, keep your bloody TP next mutation is what I crave

Well, if you like it, that's fine. That's why I asked WHICH is better, instead of just saying what's better.

Kali 10-29-2003 10:32 PM

While I'm fairly tolerant of people saying they don't like TNM, please refrain from saying that anyone who DID like it is "stupid". I liked it, and my mod trigger finger's feeling itchy... :flaming:

Yeah, I voted TNM. Not saying it was a good incarnation, but I still recognized the potential in it. I know several things were just wrong about it, but I'd trade my last roll of TP for the complete series any day.

Any takers?

Lynxie 10-30-2003 07:21 AM

Are you kidding me... It's more valuable then Charmin for the torture factor (My sis doesn't like kiddy stuff anymore) alone! not to mention fun to watch in the middle of the night when your too tired to notice all the crappy parts... It's also good to have in the backround as my sis is trying to have a semi-romantic moment with her boyfriend. I'd download it off kazza if it didn't take 6 or 7 hours...

Tetsu Deinonychus 10-30-2003 07:32 AM

Good Point

What a fallacious analogy...

A more accurate one would be: TNM is a gigantic barrel of horse dung...somewhere in that barrel is a fragment of a Skittle, but that's it.

Or, more proverbially, trying to find something good about TNM is like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

This is my own personal opinion. If anyone has a problem with it, well, tough. Nothing you or any of the mods can do can change it. Also notice that I never attacked anyone directly in any of my posts. Saying what I did in my last response wasn't a cold-blooded bashing; my 9th grade English teacher said something along those lines (she said "nose", however), but it wasn't to insult us, it was to inform us. I've been told that line more than once on here, so I think it's only fair that I "return the favor", but not in malice.

Thank you.

heretic888 10-30-2003 11:22 AM

hmmm

I agree. No flaming, por favor. :|

This thread is much, much worse than The Next Mutation.

Sayonara.

Tis better to burn out than fade away.

Bowser_Koopa 10-31-2003 09:45 AM

doubt the turtles still exist thanks to tnm :/, they only had a season, with like 20 episodes or something, and they didn't cause such impact, i think turtles would exist with or without tnm

Karpo_007 10-31-2003 10:10 AM

Of course they would. It has nothing to with the TNM. The way I see it, TNM and Image comic series are the dark age of TMNT.

GK Punk 10-31-2003 10:23 AM

:o I FORGOT TO CLAIM RVD AS THE WINNER!!!

Statistically, someone had to. *nods*

Brinatello 10-31-2003 11:14 AM

I picked TNM because, to be quite honest, it's what brought me back into loving the TMNT...permanently. There was a time in my life when I put the Turtles briefly aside and delved into the world of musical theater. I still collected the Archie comics religiously, but as far as anything else, their world was far from mine. Then, in early 1997 when Venus (Karen T.) told me in a snail mail letter (before I had the Internet) that the TMNT were making a comeback to television, I agreed with what she said. She wasn't sure whether to cheer or gag because we had already passed our TMNT stage and were into other things. But, my tune changed when the show aired. I watched and taped it every single Friday. It's one of my lesser favorites of the universes, but as far as I was concerned, it was TMNT and they were BACK! So, see, I never lost interest in them, but I guess I needed something to realize how much I love them!

And you know something else? We don't even buy that brand of toilet paper! So, there!

Ninjatron 10-31-2003 04:22 PM

People who complain about the Next Mutation are much, much, much worse than the Next Mutation.

Sayonara.

Karpo_007 10-31-2003 05:21 PM

Maybe you didn't notice, but this thread is not a personal attack towards people who like the show.

Tetsu Deinonychus 10-31-2003 07:42 PM

Thank you, Karpo.

And, while I, like many, hate the show I'd just like to say that voting for Charmin doesn't even have to mean you don't think Next-Mutation was good. Just not AS good as Charmin.

Mondo J. Gecko 10-31-2003 07:54 PM

I vote for the toilet paper..... Next Mutation sucked.

Morp 10-31-2003 08:34 PM

I voted for TP.

I would much rather watch Charmin commercials and use NM as TP.

GK Punk 10-31-2003 10:52 PM

people who complain about funny threads take themselves way to seriously.
