PizzaPower 11-29-2003 03:58 PM

Peanut 11-29-2003 05:11 PM

I didn't say I hate it. I didn't even say I dislike it. I just don't enjoy it.

Bowser_Koopa 11-29-2003 05:27 PM

PizzaPower 11-30-2003 09:40 AM

I wonder if shonen jump will put them in there comic book line.

impetus 11-30-2003 09:30 PM

there are some (pirated?) copies of the TMNT anime floating around on eBay. This is prolly the closest you can get to getting the rare manga. (The anime and manga series are related to each other)

Meira-Bates 12-01-2003 09:18 AM

The anime is 2 eps long(can't remember why I thought 3, it's deffinetly 2). And yeah, from what I remember the manga had basicaly the stuff of the anime...but my memory is an old and rusty one on that subject, so I cannot say for certain.

PizzaPower 12-01-2003 05:36 PM

toy can DL the anime at TMNT network.

Thats about it.

My understanding is that both were pretty bad. Although some people say they liked the anime.

xZAOx 12-02-2003 09:39 PM

krang is hilarious sounding, hehe.

Meira-Bates 12-02-2003 10:42 PM

If Japan, anime, and TMNT weren't all such a part of my child hood...I'd likely hate it...

Ninjatron 12-02-2003 10:53 PM

It is my understanding that the 2 episode anime takes place after the events of the manga, which were summerized before the intro sequence of the first episode.

Sayonara.

tOkKa 12-02-2003 10:53 PM

-->> ..you should just watch the whole anime.. from, stim to stern.. both eps are funny as hell..Krang.. but even Shredder and Bop n' Rock' .. steal the show// funny expressions as hell// lord ..i'd lived to be coked up watchin' that!!

dawwe 12-06-2003 09:32 AM

Well what I do know is that SavantiRomero has some of the TMNT mangas. Or at least I think he has.

kicknz 12-09-2003 09:24 AM

Yes, Savanti does because I sold them to him. There were actually like 18 or so manga released in Japan. There was sort of an on-going series that was 14 or 15 issues long that adapted episodes of the regular Murakami, Wolf, Swenson series that we all know. Each issue was about 100 pages and adapted 2 episodes. The series was called "Nin-jya Tatorusu". There was also an adaptation of the third movie called "Myutanto Tatorusu III". Finally, there was a THREE ISSUE adaptation of the THREE EPISODE Japan-only anime mini-series called "Supa Tatorusu". The only way I was able to get any of these was by having my brother pick them up at a nationwide chain called "Book-Off" when he was in Japan. I didn't think they were that good. The good-looking art that is posted on ninjaturtles.com is NOT representative of the art in most of these books. I sold them to Savanti the super-collector a bit over a year ago.

Spike The Xenomorph 12-09-2003 09:26 AM

Manga? COOL! as long as it's clean I've got no prob with that (remembers the Megaman comic books)

Lanagirl 12-09-2003 09:52 AM

I like Manga and Anime. It's a REAL ART. But I can't imagine our sweet turtles become Sailor Moon and Sakura

GUUUUYS! BUT HAVE YOU EVER SEEN TMNT IN JAPANESE? I DREAM TO FIND A JAPANESE VERSION. SHREDDER'S NAME IS SAWAKI OROKU.
WHICH VERSION IS BETTER I WONDER?  :dead:
I ADORE TMNT... :o :goofygri: :dead:

impetus 12-09-2003 11:37 AM

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=41524

here's a version which will work on all regions. This is where I got mine. Quality is good, but I think it may be a "Hong Kong" edition if you get my meaning. It's in Nihon-go but has English subtitles.

Drtooth 12-09-2003 01:47 PM

I hear that the subtitles of these bootlegs are notoriously bad.

Anyway, from the clips I saw at ninjaturtles.com, I can't make a real judgement about them. They look a little weird, and they seem to be totally based off the G1 series. And if Krang's in it, I'm really interrested...

I can't speak a lick of Japanese, so the only thing I caught was the Turtles shouting "Turtle-u Powa!!!"
