Thanks for sharing.
The TLR line certainly veered somewhere new but I’m in on it for now. |

So many TURTLEZ BOOKZ

Uh... Is the main ongoing taking a break in May?
My money's on Armaggon for the Annual's mystery baddie. |

The month off is unexpected. Campbell will be returning after, I assume? |

I'm glad the Armaggedon game stuff will be over soon, hopefully it has a proper conclusion with Rat King being defeated instead of him just getting away again. It's time to wrap up the Patheon arc for good.
|
I'm still skeptical of this comic's ability to maintain any sort of interesting story after wrapping up the Pantheon. If you thought the quality took a nosedive post #100, imagine how it will be once the main thing that's been driving the plot has been wrapped up. The Pantheon are highest up on the villain list. There's just nowhere to go but down, and deal with few loose ends. I'm worried it'll be like every good show that finished out its story and then got renewed for 2 more seasons.

Besides that it does seem like the whole Utrom/Triceraton arc is going to be wrapped up. I assume both Krang and Ch'rell will either die or be imprisoned, and the remaining Utroms and Triceratons will finally make peace with each other and find separate alien planets to live on. |
Better to let the pantheon storyline end now instead of dragging it on any further

I mean... there's always Lord Dregg or the Dragon Lord. I guess we really can't have Shredder return to being evil without ruining his entire redemption arc.
Maybe they can finally create a new villain to really shake things up. Someone completely new would be awesome because now we'd be going into unfamiliar territory. We wouldn't be able to predict things based on what we've seen before in previous comics, cartoons or movies. Hell, maybe make one of the mutants be a human that developed a strong sense of self-loathing since he/she/it is a mutant that leads to them betraying the others, side with the new villain and blow up Mutant Town. Someone that literally lost everything in life due to becoming a 'monster'. Job, wife, kids, everything, forced to live among other 'monsters', some of them even being animals that mutated instead of the other way around. Maybe with the promise of being able to be a human again is so strong that this person is willing to sacrifice an entire town just for what this new bad guy is offering. Make it just 'phase one' of this new guy's plan to wipe out all mutants or whatever. |

Rat King, Krang/Ch'rell definitely need conclusions. Karai and Old Hob are likely becoming full fledged allies at this point, and the only other wild card is Baxter. |
We've now got the 'A' cover for the annual and it's very interesting.
|
No idea what the story behind that cover but it's an absolutely brilliant concept imo. Great way to homage the original cover. It's effective.
|
So it's not Armaggon... Huh.

Looks like the main IDWverse in for some Last Ronin mixed with a little Cable.

I'm wondering if it's the future-Don from the recent issues on the new cover. |
Well let’s hope what happens to the tmnt we get new original characters and other obsurce ones from movies,tv shows, toys, and games. Hopping dragon lord, commander mozar, lord dregg, and kava asa are apart of this.

I noticed Splinter is on a cover for the Street Fighter crossover, should we take that as a sign that the series is non-canon or that Splinter will come back to life?

Spoiler:
I'm not entirely sure but a couple of other things I've noticed are that it seems to be part of a multi-cover image (pretty sure that hand near the top is Dhalsim) and almost all of the characters shown are 'good-guys' (or at least lean that way) except for Leatherhead whose fate after Armageddon Game is still in question and Rocksteady who has never been on the TMNT's side - unless this comes about from Karai's current arrangement in the Alliance issues. Either way this opens up a lot of questions. |
I'm pretty sure this is non-canon and the cover is just capitalizing on TMNT character's that are easily identifiable and visually appealing
|
Interesting, Waltz seems to be hinting on his Twitter account at some connection between the climax of Armageddon Game and the first Ghostbusters crossover... Whether said connection is Chi-You himself or his fate, or something else entirely, is anyone's guess.
|
I'm guessing Rat King gets sealed away to defeat him similar to Chi-you? Since he's immortal it's the only way to get rid of the character.
|
What worrying is that now the turtles have to rely on others to defeat the main villains, or these villains accidentally killed themselves like disney villains.
Over the year the turtles have gain more training and experience and fight hordes of thugs, foot ninjas or aliens. They also build dojo and become teachers. But somehow, some frogs or low-tier mercenaries can kick their ass. Meanwhile, Karai can easily defeat the gang of four. |
Don't forget, Karai also easily took down Bebop and Rocksteady. Twice. The Turtles just look embarrassing at this point.
|
I wish Tom would repeat his post here. Most of us miss it on Twitter.
It's interesting that Chi-Yu has remained in Limbo all of these years. It would seem like the best resolution for Rat King to finish off this long running thread. |

I guess if Chi-Yu had a twin, he'd be called Chi-Mi.
