So this came out of nowhere! A new TMNT game just dropped exclusively on Apple Arcade. You can check out some gameplay below:



Judging from said gameplay, it appears to be set in an IDW-adjacent world ala Mutants in Manhattan. (What with the villainous, self-loathing Leatherhead and intelligent, Mikey-buddy Slash as well as the VERY similar character designs.) It's also fully voice-acted! (I can pick out Roger Craig Smith as Raph and Yuri Lowenthal as Mikey. Not sure about anyone else.) Looks really neat overall, I just wish it was on a platform I had access to.

Was interested till I see the overhead camera isometric view, I don't like games with that kind of camera.

Seems like I’ve heard the term”Roguelike” a lot this week after not previously being aware of it that it existed.

When it's available on other devices I'll play it

Chaotix12345, can you embed a reduced size image of the game's promotional screen or else put the big embedded image in SPOILER tags? It shows up GIGANTIC on mobile, which in turns makes the rest of the thread and all the text in comments look teeny-tiny. :tcool:

it looks really cool but, even though apple arcade is a solid deal, not sure i want to sub right now. there is a trial though if anyone wants to try it out.

Likewise, as soon as/if this hits Switch — I'm in.

if it is not linked to an IP I always have a bit of trouble with it, voice acting feels always off for me. then i can't connect with it

It reminds me of the really fun Marvel Ultimate Alliance Dungeon Crawler. Those first two games were amazing.

It kinda reminds me of Hades, the game looks like a lot of fun, I hope it's not going to be an Apple exclusive forever.

Guys, who is the game's main antagonist - that shadowy gamemaster? Is it Rat King?

I dispise the company "Apple", so I've searched for a walkthrough on youtube. After the TMNT beat Shredder the game doesn't end, right? How does the story play out? Spoilers wanted.

Thanks to an ad for the game from Andre, we have a bit of new information on the production of it! First off, Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz penned the story. (Makes sense given all the IDW elements.) Secondly, we have a few more confirmed voice actors:

Dominic Catrambone as Leo (You might remember his FIRST stint as Leo at the end of 2012 Season 2 following Jason Biggs' firing.)

Gwendoline Yeo as Karai (She was Karai's BFF Shinigami in the 2012 show.)

Fred Tatasciore as Rocksteady (Reprising from BOTH the 2012 show AND the Mutants in Manhattan game.)

REALLY wish we could get full credits, as I'm super curious about the rest of the voice cast.

It's such BS that it's an Apple exclusive. I'd love to try this game, but I'm sure as hell not buying an iPhone just to play it.

I own an iphone and still hate its apple arcade exclusive, this and world of demons being stuck on mobile hurts.

We're eating good as Turtles fans in terms of games here, boys.

We're only eating good if these games we're getting are actually good. Still waiting for that Last Ronin game. Never even heard of this til today. The gameplay style isn't my thing but nice to see something that isn't another beatemup.

Really excited to see this on Switch - loved the concept, but didn't love the execution on iPhone. A real controller will make a big difference for me.

I strongly suspected Splintered Fate would show up on console eventually, but I'm very happy to see it made official. The only bummer is Playstation is my console of choice so it sounds like I'm going to be waiting a little while longer. Thankfully I have Wrath of the Mutants to keep me busy in the meantime.

Agreed! Between Shredder's Revenge, The Cowabunga Collection, Splintered Fate, Wrath of the Mutants, Mutants Unleashed, and The Last Ronin, this is the most excitement TMNT fans have had in the video game space since the 2K3 days.

When it first came out on Apple Arcade, the consensus seemed to be "It's Hades but with the Ninja Turtles", so I guess it all depends on how you feel about that statement.

So are we to take it that the console ports are a sign of success or an attempt at broadening the audience?

Learning about releases like this game is the main reason that I am a member here. I don't use social media, so this is how I find out about upcoming releases. It looks like a pretty fun game. I hope that it has couch co-op.

Publishers will often grant limited exclusivity windows for their games in exchange for a payout from the platform holder. The six month turnaround time all but guarantees this game was always planned to be a console title in the same way the latest Shantae game was (which was also an Apple Arcade exclusive before being released on consoles shortly after).

I don't usually go for this genre of game, but if it's decent, & the price is reasonable, I'd be happy to have more turtle titles on my Switch. Very glad it's worked out so far to where we will ultimately have, what, four on it? Konami Collection, 2012 arcade game, this, & then Mutant Mayhem's tie-in. Pretty rad. Not to mention all the titles they guest feature in nowadays, which isn't my thing, but is still cool to see.

It really is in a league of its own.

I had no idea this was a pre-existing game and just assumed it was something brand-new. Whatever the case, it looks fun, so I'm glad it's getting released outside of Apple Arcade. Now if only the same could happen to Sonic Dream Team... but that's a different, non-tmnt related topic, so I won't gripe on that here. :lol:
