US American politics
I'm seeing allot of backlash in Democratic run cities, New York, Chicago, Oakland/San Fran, Portland and Seattle. Don't complain about the illegals and rampant crime and drug use, when this is exactly what you voted for. You listened to flowery words that sounded nice but had no basis in reality. My how these progressive cities are flourishing... I guess if you like zombie junkies, hypodermic needles, and piles off human feces everywhere, enjoy the chaos you voted for.

I'm watching these videos of African American women in NY decimating Eric Adams at town halls, the same in Chicago with Brandon Johnson. And videos of African American business owners in Oakland crying for help, and it's all f'n sad. The really sad part is African American women vote Democrat 95% of the time. Do people know that the Republican party was started to fight the democrats who supported slavery? The confederacy were democrats, the republic fought to free slaves. Do you know who started the kkk? It was the democrats, these are facts; check them.

It's crazy how freely Joe bidens Crack head son hunter uses the n word when his father said in 77, and I QUOTE "Unless we do something about this, my children are going to grow up in a jungle, the jungle being a racial jungle with tensions having built so high that it is going to explode at some point. We have got to make some move on this." This was in response to desegregation. Then in 2019 told a black man to his face, that he wasn't black if he don't vote for him. An episode of the breakfast club.

I don't disagree that the Democrats are full of problems, but I think that the Republicians aren't much better. I see them as being from the same rotten foundation.

I often feel that the Democrat and Republician parties aren't as divided on many issues as they claim to be, and many of them use the tactics of Divide and Conquer to keep the people in line while elite politicians reap the benefits.
That being said, I do believe that voting is important, but who to vote for is dependent on a variety of factors. I currently align more with the Republician Party because I see the Democrats as being more subservient to the ideology of Cultural Marxism, but unfortunately the Republician Party has its fair share of Communist Sympathisers. |

I do think striking down Roe V. Wade was a bad move for them, though. They were on a nice path until that. They should have just let it go, even if it was a super flimsy decision that didn't hold any water. |

It's pretty funny how many leftis this board has but nobody wants to dispute these facts? Why is that? Let's go hit me with some facts please!

Oi. The dumbest people.
Anyway, here's a real interesting article which discusses how the majority of gun deaths actually take place in rural areas. NOT cities. /https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/map-gun-death-rates-lower-cities-than-rural-counties-rcna81462 And let's just be completely honest here: You're not "seeing a lot" (which is how you spell that word, btw) of anything in those cities. In the past two years, I've been to New York and Chicago. Have you? Or have you been "seeing a lot" of that on television? You know, on that "news" channel you all pretend that you don't watch. (And, to be perfectly clear: even if you *don't* actually watch Fox "News," guess what? Whatever "news" source you're digesting probably... gets... their... information... from... Fox... "News"). So, yeah. Please tell everyone which of those cities you've been to. Chicago has problems, sure. All places do! But isn't it weird, just isn't it odd, how all the cities always cited by these "news" stories have predominately non-white people in them? And isn't it weird, too, how Fox "News" caters to... oh, yeah. White people? Probably just a coincidence. Probably nothing to notice at all. I'd sure be interested in reading about more things you're "seeing allot" of, though. Maybe next time you could cite a source, like I did? It'll make you a hair more credible. Which shouldn't be hard. Because right now, you're not credible at all. |
Nice try lol. You're defense to my facts is to jump to "racism", and fox News. What does that have to do with anything?
See the funny thing is I don't need to go to Chicago or New York to know what's going on. We have this little thing called the internet and some people like myself use it to see what's happens all over. Google Chicago's residents angry over illegal immigration, you'll see news clips from all your precious news channels covering the town halls where the residents are condemning thier democratic leaders. Give it a gogg you dingbat. Then after that Google mayor Eric Adams call a holocaust survivor a slave owner for daring to point her finger at him. Oh Google Chicago's young scholars destroy a 7-11, that's a fresh one. Or you could Google Oakland town hall meetings. Are you just being facetious or do you not know how the internet works? You don't need fox news to tell you how well these cities are doing. Also you don't need to visit them either. I can tell you about Pheonix though, I first visited phoenix 8 years ago and I loved the city it was so beautiful. Then the lock down happened, and my next visit nearly brought me to tears. The whole area surrounding downtown area is now a shanty town. It looks like a third world country with tents and make shift huts. This is America, we're not supposed to be living like this. And democrats just want it to get worse, so they can stay in power. It's f'n Munchausen by proxy. Eat this poison so I can make you better. |

My point? In the city, you’re either a compliant, silent sheep or a you’re a lawless thug, and if you do have a noble bone in your body and decide to be the hero, you get punished for it. That’s why people will just stand by and watch as someone gets r*ped in the subway rather than help them, and why they’ll let thieves just walk out of a store with the stolen items in their hands. The shoplifting situation in Chicago is so bad that if you need to buy a small jar of Vaseline at Walgreens, it’s locked up behind glass and you need an employee to come open it with a key. Where I live, we only do that for valuable vintage items at flea markets. Quote:

And you cited... nothing. I mean, you cited anecdotal experience, which does not make up any other person's reality than your own.
Not a single quote. Not a single article link. So weird! I wonder why that is. And I actually went to NYU for a year. I love New York City, and would move back there in a heartbeat (if I still had the money). I love Chicago, too. Todd and I have talked about moving there often. The food! The culture! The comedy clubs! It's a beautiful place. And both my siblings live in Washington D.C. It's lovely, too. I've spent more than my fair share of time on the Metro (Shout-out, Orange Line!). Did you know, long ago, that the Metro used to be so clean that they used it's tunnels for shots in movies when people go to heaven? You folks remind me of one of my favorite quotes. It's from Sophocles, of all people. "To him who is in fear, everything rustles." So, yeah. Keep believing whatever you believe. I try to be kind to the world, and, for the most part, the world has been incredibly kind to me. Maybe there's a lesson there. Maybe not. Quote:

Lol I can't help but notice you didn't respond to my facts. I don't need to post a link a simple Google search will prove me correct. I can also confirm the state of D.C. because my brother works at the Pentagon, my black brother BTW, is disgusted by the state of the capital.

But to your other point there, yeah I agree completely. Chicago is so well connected by highways that you could live as far out as Aurora and getting to the city via 88 is really no big deal. |

"From 2011 to 2020, the most rural counties had a 46% lower rate of gun homicide deaths than the most urban counties but a 76% higher rate of gun suicide deaths, according to Reeping’s analysis." Can you cite a source that supports your view that has something to do with your claim? |
The largest demographic of gun death in the US has always been suicide, unsurprisingly.

Welcome to promised paradise of socialism.
I hope you like long rows of people and deficit. No matter how commie trash will try to tell its all, because, of "capitalism". |
I've seen people here throw the word "echochamber" around on these forums like it was their best GRE word of the month. But Chicago is a true "echochamber". It's become a hub for the perception-of-life narrative by some residents, even to the point where these people make every excuse for the very behavior that got them there in the first place.

Being born and semi-raised in Chicago (most of my more formative years were in Mexico), I am glad that I not only moved out of there, but when it came time to return to the US, I had other options and didn't just go back.
My god that place is a hellhole. |
