Part of me is worried because I don't trust THQ to release polished AAA games but the fact that it won't be for last-gen gives me somewhat hope.

Actually the fact that it won't be on the PS4 made me go from excited to.... lost all interest.

I’ll take single player for now because 4 doesn’t seem to work out. So hopefully it’s baby steps.

I mean, you might get a PS5 or Series X/S by then.

This game ain't anytime soon. So yeah, you can plan to get a ps5 or latest xbox if you don't have one. Or upgrade your PC. Plenty of time to work on that.

As a staunch Nintendo person, I am planning to buy an Xbox in the next few months. It is time.

For sure. PS4 came out 10 years ago. That's the same amount of time between when the SNES came out and the Gamecube, and we had the N64 in between there.

This game won't be out till 2026+, so nobody is going to be thinking about PS4 by then.

It seems to be made by black forest games, so I don't expect a good game at all. I mean there is a chance, but their track record is horrible. I think this will be Mutants in Manhatten all over again, a great idea but horrible executed

Maybe. I mean KOF15 and SF6 are pretty much guaranteeing another 2-3 more years of PS4 goodness and there are still so many games I haven't bought yet.

Maybe im just hyped but I liked the teaser fwiw. I thought it was a nice touch referencing the other 3's deaths at least. Seems like the game will be somewhat faithful to the comics.

Obviously wish we saw some sort of gameplay. The artwork looks nice not sure if thats original to this or not.

Not much of anything from their catalog inspires confidence for me.

This is precisely why the promise of a AAA TMNT game immediately gave me pause. AAA licensed based games are not often good.

They made the 2 Destroy all Humans remakes and they are love letters to the originals, and showed nothing but care and respect to the fans of that franchise, something that we've never saw from the likes of Ubisoft or Activision, hell, not even from the actual owners of the TMNT IP.

The God of War inspiration gives me pause.
Why not something like the Ghost of Tsushima?
God of War wasn't very ninja, and was pretty by the numbers, not a lot of room for player expression.
We'll see in a few years I guess.

Eastman speaking about the Last Ronin game. Seems like they are progressing and the game is still in Development.

This article was published in March, but I’d bet the interview was done before that as there’s no mention of the layoffs at the studio. I kind of doubt there’s any movement on it.

If the dev goes belly up then so does the game, unless another developer wants it.

I wonder if it will get a Switch 1 release. Probably not though. It looks like I chose a bad time to quit keeping up with modern consoles.

this is basically a different game now. Last time platinum did a TMNT game it wasn't well received.

Probably not, Activision screwed them over pretty badly, and it showed in the final product.

Definitely seems like they're going for a better play style vibe that fits SO much more than the last developer.

In what way?

My blind wish for this game is:

- Most of enemies are human instead of robots

- Blood and enemy remains are everywhere

- Let Mikey executed Karai

- Hiroto is killed by Mikey instead killed by his own nanosuit

- Hiroto in the game has more meaningful storylines than in the comic, and is at least disturbing and hateful enough to not be a boring character.

- Happy ending(Mikey survive) route just like Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time

3 years ago we had a teaser trailer with no in game footage and today we have a teaser trailer with no game footage

At best, we might get DMC-like or Ninja Gaiden-like or Old GoW-like gameplay style. At worst, New GoW-like.
