the next tmnt video game

are there any plans for another possible tmnt game by konami yet?

PizzaPower 12-12-2003 05:29 PM

Yes they are working on one. I remember reading a interview with the people who made the4 new game that is out wright now and they said that they have plans for another one.

rayfillet101 12-12-2003 08:30 PM

maybe this one will be about season 2, bring on the fugitioid

TigerClaw 12-12-2003 10:16 PM

it would be great if the next game is based on Season 2, Imagine some of the levels, Like the turtles riding on some of the vehicles like in the episodes we seen. :)

Stone Ill 12-12-2003 10:40 PM

I pray that it is not like the one that came out. It was horrible! They deifnately should not have made it a brawler.

Peanut 12-13-2003 03:11 AM

What other possible way IS there to make a TMNT game?

PizzaPower 12-13-2003 06:20 AM

well for one, it still could be a beat em up game. But give each TMNT there sory line, throw some vehicals for YOU to drive, and a more varity of bad guys. Plus throw the old games in the new game.

RPG along the lines of Star Wars: KOTOR? That'd be cool.

PizzaPower 12-13-2003 07:49 AM

or it could be in the way jst like Final Fantasy? Even though it would probley be kind of boring that way.

RskimB 12-13-2003 08:05 AM

no offense but i dont think tmnt franchise is deep enough to do kotor style

The TMNT franchise doesn't go as deep as the Star Wars franchise means that a KOTOR style game in the TMNT universe wouldn't work? That makes little to no sense at all.

Bowser_Koopa 12-13-2003 08:50 AM

whats kotor?

Pisides if TMNT was to come out like that I would NOT buy it. I already hate Star Wars anough now. I am praying that does not happen.

hopefully not  :D  :D

Kid Icarus 12-13-2003 06:14 PM

Hopefully, if they DO make another one, it won't be so friggin boring.

Take out some of the levels, make the game a bit shorter, give the bosses patterns, 4 player co-op, more moves. And take out the 'combo' system, or make the stage villans need a bit more damage before they die. Give Leo more reach with his katana. More interaction with the levels would be nice. Give each Turtle their own strengths and weaknesses, along with their own super moves (maybe mikey should have a double jump, donnie could have a locater for the scrolls, ect.).

Basicly fix everything that was horribly wrong with the new game and add more. And make the thug villians harder. It's pathetic that I can walk through a level with Donnie and just keep hitting A and not get hit at all.

So, because a Star Wars game was made in the same style, you wouldn't buy it? It's not like it'd be a crossover, it's just the same style of game.

i wouldn't like it if the game was shorter, is short enough the way it is, they should make it long, but keeping it interesting, and maybe a save state or something, more like tenchu, you know.

Michaelangelo|DAH 12-14-2003 12:34 PM

Yeah, if they make another one like this, Then they should definitely make different stages for each turtle, it gets boring when you have to complete the game with both Leo, Don, Raph, Mikey, Splinter and so on. They should've made some areas where the turtles skate, scoot AND SO ON like in the GBA game, that would've been cool. And as said earlier in this topic, Give each turtle a special move and a weakness. And it's too bad, if you wanna play 2 player mode, you have to play on the same keyboard. I WANT LAN

BigThew 12-14-2003 12:37 PM

i say get rid of cell shading
i want graphics like metal gear solid
with a deep story like just like that

PizzaPower 12-14-2003 12:40 PM

dude that would be awsome!!! Or grafics like Enter the matrix.

Graphics, ok. Gameplay and animation, no. The characters ran all funky, and the game wasn't that good.

nope don't like that idea. It wouldn't fit the turtles.
MY OPINION

Karpo_007 12-14-2003 02:22 PM

KotOR is a great game, but TMNT's universe is not nearly large enough for something like that. The sequel has not been confirmed yet, even if they say they are working on it. It all depends on how the first game sells.

Ok...I don't understand this. Just because the TMNT universe isn't as large as the Star Wars one doesn't mean they can't have the same style of game. As for the new game selling, I've seen some lists that have it as 2 or 3 on the Gamecube top 10. I'm sure it's sold well enough though. If Yu-Gi-Oh card games sell enough to spawn 4 sequals I'm sure the TMNT will sell enough to warrant at least one.

Michaelangelo|DAH 12-14-2003 05:41 PM

where have you seen those lists. Have you got links???

Ninjatron 12-14-2003 05:45 PM

I'd like to play a game where all 4 Turtles are on the screen at the same time, fighting along side with you, even if you're just playing alone. Then you could swap between either of them at any time in order to best use each turtle's special abilities. I'm not sure how that would work in terms of lives and continues, but whatever. That's what I want to see.

Sayonara.

BigThew 12-14-2003 06:19 PM

why wouldn't realisitic graphics fit well with the turtle universe
they made a live action movie
and that fit well

With Star Wars there are tons of mythology already there, with Dozens of authors telling stories of diffrent time in that universe. TMNT has always been a straight forward story, the developers would have to create so much new content that that might lose the TMNT feel. Everyone who reads Star Wars comics and books know that KotOR was very accurate, of course there were a lot of new content too, but it had the SW feeling just right. But even if the style might suit the TMNT, I think konami would never take such a big risk.

They were in a magazine. If I can find it perhaps I'll be able to scan it.

That is agreed Karpo. I was simply stating that the style of the game, the members of the group in real time fights type thing WOULD work as a TMNT game, but the depth wouldn't be there.

 Metal Gear Solid + Anything = Happy major pain

Michaelangelo|DAH 12-15-2003 05:01 PM

it would be the worst ever

PizzaPower 12-16-2003 04:20 PM

well a TMNT game in the format of Metel Gear solid would be pretty cool. YOu know becasue you would have to uyse your steath to get to Shredder. Or juts the last last level be like that.

raphael_is_cool 12-16-2003 04:29 PM

I've always thought having a block function in the next game would be useful. But what's more is to have it so if you hold down the block button and tap an attack button it does a counter attack, which can then vary depending on how and what you're attacked with and what attack button and weapon you're countering with. It's kinda like this instant finishing move from the LOTR Two Towers but it plays a bigger part and is more flexible. It will probably be hard to incorporate into the game but definitely worth trying

What do you lot think?

Peanut 12-16-2003 05:00 PM

The fighting engine for RotK has the same thing. It's a big part of the game too. Parry and then hit the special button and you do an instant kill. I'd also like to see more combos like RotK, such as the one where you quick attack, physical attack, and finish move in the right order at the right time and you slice the guy, shove/punch (depends on who your playing) down, and then stab with the sword.

raphael_is_cool 12-16-2003 05:38 PM

Yeah I agree about the adding little kicks and things in, or punches whilst holding weapons but I thought more in terms to maybe blocking a sword with sai daggers and countering with a kick or grabbing an enemy's bo staff and flinging them..makes it more complex tho

Peanut 12-16-2003 06:20 PM

No not really. It can be done the exact same way. Just use block and then press another button for kicks, throws, weapon swipes, etc.
