The thing about Leo was that he went out complaining about and hating on the forum in general, basically going on about how he was going to leave while wishing death on everyone here. :lol: As opposed to being banned over a disagreement or something.

Not that I would care if Leo came back (I'd be fine with it), but there's a logical disconnect there. Unban the guy who basically got banned for telling everyone off about how he didn't want to post here anymore, ironically while posting here?

Again, I'd be fine with it, but voting "Leo" is pretty sycophantic, man. :lol:

I mean they were banned for a reason, leave em banned. Leo def does not want to come back either, leave him be.

I am curious exactly what Goku did. No one wants to talk about it and it all seems so hush-hush and 'he must not be named' and whatnot. Like was he super racist or something? The funniest part is he pretty much doomed anyone that might want to innocently join with some variation of Goku's name without people immediately given the newbie the stink eye and thinking he's that Goku ban evading. So like.. who did he kill or what?

In many cases, bad ones.

Racist stuff... maybe? Mostly there was this pocket of 5 years where he'd show up with an alt, just post a whole lot of super annoying things and create a ton of spam threads, then he'd confess that he's Goku and mock-apologize and beg for forgiveness, then get banned. Then a few weeks later he'd do it all again, and again. For a while I had a theory that maybe these were like "satellite alts" of CyberCubed, doing some master trolling, but I doubt it now.

But if you like Goku, you'd love Gobo. Who actually wasn't even ever banned.

I can't remember what Super Goku did but I think his original account got banned for something stupid then came back again and got found out and got banned again for trying to avoid the ban, and every time he came back he kept getting a little bit crazier and threatening members I think. What was epic is that one of his alt. accounts he used later actually had a registration date of when the forum first started so no one suspected it was him.

I doubt CyberCubed would ever bother with alts unless he found a way to do it at 1.5x speed.

Could I preemptively suggest myself?

Openly talking about how much he hates the place, he is working on getting it shut down (lol), and any one who posts on an Internet forum is a life loser… then proceeds to also post in said forum for another decade until he’s banned for being too vile. What an absolute slob.

It would be a funny troll if any one of us just blurted out 'I'm Goku' as a joke, but seeing as this dude is so hated, why risk getting perma-banned over a joke?

Rather, just a different relationship.

He and I were fine. Didn't always agree, debated a few times, but we could hop to a different subject in a different thread and the feelings from the previous thread never followed and wasn't personal. I appreciated that about him. Too many people, esp online, can't do that anymore, it's all black and white, good or bad. Primitive thinkers.

I mean, yeah, he wore his feelings on a lot of stuff very openly on his sleeve and wasn't going to disguise it, and being the internet people can sometimes say TOO much (listen, my own Reddit account is still on a 3 day ban, okay? lol) which, understandably, many forums or other social media spots aren't going to tolerate.

But we're still cool and still talk. Sometimes I do miss his retorts when someone was being an ass.

I don’t know that I’ve ever really observed any solidarity among fans of specific characters.

As for Raphael fans in particular, I do know when I started lurking here as a youngster there seemed to be a lot of older ladies who were like in love with Raph lol. Shouts out to Buslady (RIP)

All of them, but definitely Raph in particular. Lots of old ladies writing fanfics where their Mary Sue equivalents in the fanfics would date Raph and have half-human babies with.

Given how moderator power can easily be abused I say that it should at least be some what minimised. So, yes nobody should be locked away from a forum forever.

LOL I can deal with a harmless piece of fiction (official or fan) having an open-minded character having feelings for one of them (Oh hi, Radical), but hybrid kids I draw the line at. Sorry, genetics just aren't going to work that way and pushing fiction too far, so it better as hell have a good explanation, not just magically happening.
