Coola's comic reviews

As some might know, I have a blog where I review random comics from the past and present. It's just a hobby I do in my free time, so I pretty much do em when I want and when I have the free time. The only main comic I try to get on as soon as I grab a copy are the Saturday Morning TMNT comics.

In case any are curious to read, I'll toss in my reviews of any non-TMNT and non-Spider-Man 94 comics since those have their own topics.

I just checked out the new Tomb Raider comic, so here's my review on that one. Comments are always appreciated.

For any fans of Street Fighter and the Udon comics, they have recently introduced some new villains for an evil organization called Vortex.

People still have comic review blogs in 2026?

Apparently we do. Mine gets at the very least 5K views a month. I assume if it was 5K views per article there would be money to be made, but this is more of a fun hobby and it inspired me to seek out older comics like the 90s Tomb Raider series. If I didn't have a job (of life) I probably could crank out 3 a day and get more views.

And I mean... TMNT Entity is still up so Blogger is still up and running.

They are a part of the good internet still surviving. Let's hope they will never disappear.

Hopefully. Not counting stuff I was gonna buy anyway like TMNT and Street Fighter related stuff, blogging about comics renewed my interest in whatever Marvel and DC were up to and also made me look back and remember older series and made me curious enough to seek them out.

I sometimes cover manga too. These are the first three chapters of a manga called Dragons Rioting. I checked it out when it was new but it's currently out of print and it looks like it never got anime adaptation.

The main character is named Rintaro and he has a condition where if he gets 'worked up' he might die of a heart attack. Due to a mix-up he ended up going to an all-girls school rather than an all-boys school. The school is current in a war between three female-led factions. Now he has to avoid not getting killed by them be it in actual battle or just being around them.

Typical Cybercubed anime fare.

Got into some of the 90's Batman and Detective Comics. These were some of the books I actually grew up with, back when I thought comics were only sold in grocery stores. My kid mind would have been blown if I found out about entire shops packed with nothing but comics. Hell, I think my mind did blow in 1991 or 1992 when I set foot into my very first comic shop. Even as an adult it's almost like a wonderland for me. I'm glad I live in a bigger city with more options.

Street Fighter VS The Valiant Universe. Pretty cool read and unlike that TMNT crossover, the Street Fighters are in character. Too bad it was a one-shot, I would have liked to have seen more.

Here are my reviews on all 4 issues of the Final Fight mini-series and the Free Comic Book Day special.

It was the 2024 Free Comic Book Day issue. Sadly it got lost among all the moving. I'll eventually have to buy the free comic.

Yep. I've been slowly re-buying the comics of my childhood.

New Miles Morales run. Let's see if it lasts more than 10 issues.

IDK, it seems lately 10 is the number that determines wether or not a new series keeps going or not, at least when it comes to Marvel.

classic X-Men and Teen Titans crossover. This one was written by the misses.

Here are all the issues of World's Collide, the crossover with MegaMan and Sonic. It was perfect since Archie was doing both comics at the time.
