Strange

If The ninja turtles, spider-man, and bat-man are all in New York how come they never run into each other?

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 12:19 AM

Batman is in Gotham city, not New York City.

I'm sure if the TMNT were in the Marvel universe, they'd be crossing over with virtually every other Marvel comic (like most Marvel characters). Since they aren't, you'll never see it happen unless it's fan work.

I, as a huge Spidey and TMNT fan, would greatly enjoy seeing a Spidey/TMNT crossover, but it would mess things up in both universes too much.

Stone Ill 12-29-2003 12:40 AM

Exactly..

Jamezer 12-29-2003 12:42 AM

I didnt say new york city, i said new york. and i know about the differences, in their respective comic worlds, it is more of a fun question, than a technical question.

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 12:46 AM

Well, from a "fun" perspective, maybe it's because Spider-Man is usually far above ground 'slinging while the Turtles tend to stay underground and in the shadows?

So..?

spikealike 12-29-2003 02:19 AM

How come the Ghostbusters never got called out to random sighting of big green mutant things?

Stone Ill 12-29-2003 02:25 AM

Because they weren't ghosts..

milweskee 12-29-2003 03:36 AM

A crossover between the ghostbusters and the tmnt would be something i would definitely pay for, in any shape or form or whatever, I don't care if it's just a sticker. those are the best two things god ever gave this good earth.

I'd like to know why so many damn super heroes are in New York in the first place. There seem to be eleventy billion of them, but there's still crime in the streets. They should really look into creating a super hero who DOESN'T reside in New York.

spikealike 12-29-2003 04:16 AM

X-Men reside all over the place, and Ghostbusters was originally to be an international franchise, so I guess its a start, lol. As for the turtles, who knows, maybe there's been another freak accident somewhere but the victims this time are better at hiding ;)

It was because Stan Lee was from New York, so he knew the area and felt he could write more realistic stories if he knew the city, so he stuck them all in New York.

Also, if you stuck a superhero in a city with very little crime, what would he do?

kyabetsu 12-29-2003 09:01 AM

he would be THE TICK!!!

who lives in THE CITY!!!

god i love that big blue lug.

"BEWARE THE OTHER HEAD OF SCIENCE ARTHUR!!"

Taloniss 12-29-2003 10:28 AM

Tick owns.

Stone Ill 12-29-2003 01:05 PM

Yeah, but he starting to tick me off.

BA-ZING!

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 01:32 PM

I want to see more superheroes and villians in Los Angeles.

Stone Ill 12-29-2003 01:33 PM

They'd probably get shot.

What about some Canadian heroes dammit? I know Wolvie is one, but come on?

Hollywood has enough crooks.

Didn't Marvel have West Coast Avengers Team at some point in the 80's?

kyabetsu 12-29-2003 02:31 PM

is that Iron Man? The costume resembles his, but the colours are off.

kyabetsu 12-29-2003 04:42 PM

i wasn't sure. which is why i didn't name him. but yeah, it sure does LOOK like him, don't it?

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 05:55 PM

Could it be War Machine?

Taloniss 12-29-2003 06:05 PM

Hmm, War Machine had Black and Grey colours. I think it's Iron Man.

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 06:14 PM

Maybe it's a miscolored War Machine? He just looks more like War Machine to me rather than Iron Man.

Taloniss 12-29-2003 06:28 PM

Based on Iron Man's file at http://www.marveldirectory.com/indiv.../i/ironman.htm I'd say it's him in the pictures.

In the same city but different Universes. Now if you were to have Superman in NY of TMNT 2003 you'd see Silver Sentry and Superman in one spot, but the problem is that if you have 10 different sides of Heros in one place,

That's going to be one heck of battle.

For me I'm interested in TMNT and the Ghostbusters Movies New York.

I like to start a list on movies based on New York.

Taloniss 12-29-2003 07:44 PM

Fixed the link

Nosferatu 12-29-2003 07:49 PM

Yeah, it's probably Iron Man.

Still looks more like War Machine to me, though. :goofygri:

Jamezer 12-29-2003 10:11 PM

Ironman had so many different costume variations, that im 99.9% sure that it is him

MW8979 12-30-2003 04:56 PM

I'm fairly certain that War Machine was with the West Coast Avengers (although it doesn't really look like him in the picture). Iron Man was with Hulk, Thor and the rest of the classic Avengers.

Meeko 12-30-2003 06:40 PM

http://www.marveldirectory.com/indiv...armachinei.htm

war machine is a reserve member of west coast avengers on marvel directory at http://www.marveldirectory.com/indiv...armachinei.htm
