TMNT GBA
I've just finished playing the turtles game on easy, it says TO BE CONTINUED. Not once was Shredder featured in this game, at least not when playing on easy, do you fight Shredder on the harder difficulties?
Yeah, you toast him later on in harder levels of difficulty.
I'm still looking for all those freaking gemstones. |
Same here. I have 4/5 with Mike, 4/5 with Leo, 3/5 with Raph and 2/5 with Don. Do you know if they are all hidden in the levels, or do some require certain things to get them (certain score on a level for example)?
Shredder's quite a tough level, at least I thought so anyways, lol :) |
Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but it's been confirmed. Getting all of the crystals and such, do.. NOTHING. Just gets you satisfied that you've wasted your time.
hehe, cool. Good thing i didn't waste time on collecting them. Yeah i have fought shredder too hehe, man he does some weird stuff
Dude, the GBA game made me very disappointed. I miss my Mystic Elemental Ninjas . . . .
Good thing they're on the counsels! |

EDIT: ***possible spoilers!!!*** When Shredder morphs into those four little monster things, whats going on?! |
man I cannot evenb get passed the last level with mikey or even get past with donnatello!!! man that game is so hard!
It's all about having skills hehe
I got one more crystal last night with Raph on the bike stage. I think I have 4/5 with them all now, but its damn hard. I can't think where else to look for them, although I'm starting to think Don has some hidden on his glider level. Urrgh!
On another note, I actually really like this game now. Probably me fave TMNT game next to the original arcade one. For some reason I don't mind replaying the levels despite finishing them countless times... |
Yeah, I got this game for christmas. I couldn't beat Shredder for the life of me, so I just went on my computer, downloaded the rom/emu and used cheats to beat the last level. I'm just that great. But it doesn't mean that I won't try to beat it still. :D
Also, I'm not sure if my 'confirmation' post is actually correct. I'm starting to think that it's not. |

Well, I know that there are codes out there that allow you to get 5 different courses for Raph's bike stage.. Maybe that's what the cyrstals do. They give you the codes.
I recall finding the crystals gave you codes for Casey Jones mode and Splinter mode on the GCN game.
Anyway I got TMNT the week it came out and I personally like the GBA one better than the console game. I recently got all the crystals on normal and hard and I've completed normal and beat Shredder, but now I'm stuck on Mike's gauntlet on Hard. Dang I hate those stupid jumbo mutants! I've given up on it for a while but I'll probably try to finish the game eventually. |
Could you possibly list where all the crystals are? I'll try and find out where the ones were that I have if it helps.
Check the other thread... but because I'm sure you are lazy...
3 on Leo's first stage (one which is hard to find) - On the path where there is a drop off after fighting mousers (which has an ooze container) wait around a while and some more mousers will appear. Clobber them and you'll get the crystal. 1 on Leo's vehicle stage - shoot the mousers 1 on Leo's third stage - climb up to the vents 3 on Raph's first stage - climb up buildings to find them 2 on Raph's vehicle stage - they are under barrels, it's a lot of trial and erro, don't forget you have to win to get the crystals 2 on Don's first stage - one by the pole you climb to get out of the sewer and one near a building - you'll need to jump on some boxes to get it so don't break the boxes before you check for it 2 on Don's vehicle stage - you are gonna have to shoot all the missiles from certain waves, a couple of the big barrages to be exact 1 on Don's other action stage - climb the poll near the lazers, I've also found that after you fight the foot ninjas you can jump up to a platform behind the box and hit the box through the wall to obtain the crystal 2 on Mike's first stage - one is behind a pillar when you are on the subway train (just jump around when you are near the polls and you'll probalby find it) and one in one of the pits with the lazers at the bottom (one of the later ones) 2 on Mike's vehicle stage - They are at the top of the full pipe so you'll need to do the loop to get them, but you'll have to to time it right - remember you have to collect a certain ammount of regular cyrstals to complete the level and keep the secret crystals. and finally the last crystal is easily located on Mike's other acton stage - its in the room where you have to wall jump and avoid the lavafalls |
I finally got my copy of this game last night. This game is very hard, to me. I tend to get aggravated very easy and this game has succeeded in aggravating me many times. It was pretty simple in easy (Mike was a bit of a pain, though). When I went into normal mode, though, it became a different story.
I shut off the system in anger quite a few times. I've gotten to the part where I have to go up Shredder's tower and I suck...majorly. If Shredder and Hun are harder than the tower's security, then I am royally screwed. I was doing barely decent up until the elevator part. I soon become surrounded and dominated by Foot ninjas with guns. Am I the only one that despises Michelangelo's levels? He's just too loose for me and his enemies are much tougher than any of the other enemies up until the tower. Aaaugh! :x |
Hun and Shredder are fairly easy compared to actually getting to them. Thankfully you fight them one on one which helps a lot. I would've hated it if Hun had a load of foot soldiers to back him up or anything like that.
Like on the console game... Dang man Hun slaughtered me the first time on the GCN version and I still have trouble with him every time I play.
Mike's levels on the GBA game are a pain in the shell. I STILL can't beat his "boss" stage on Hard. Its the only thing keeping me from getting to the tower too (because I've even got all the crystals on hard). |
i defeated the game long ago, but on Normal, never played it since then. And it was on my PC
Have you tried 'very hard'? Should be renamed 'damn impossible!' lol.
hehe nope i haven't
ya hard mode is really hard.
I tried to work my way up the tower with Leo about an hour ago and I failed again. I did a little better with Leo than I did with Raph in the tower, but I still fell victim to those damn Foot soldiers with the guns.
I'm still struggling to get the last crystal with Don. Its on his third act, the first wave of 5 missiles top and bottom - I can't destroy them all!
Charge to a full meeter and move down to the far bottom left and let the missiles come out in their formation. Then fire and you should hit most of them (or all of them if you are UBER lucky) then charge a quick blast to hit the rest. It takes a few tries but you'll get it eventually.
is it really that hard on hard hehe, I guess i'm gonna have to try it before i can believe it hehe.
Ohh and check the banners above right under each other hehe looks cool |
Yeah, the harder difficulty levels are much better thinking about it. The enemies actually attack on some levels, lol!
Your welcome spikealike...

Okay, I've unlocked the Shredder level, I can make it passed Hun, but I can never quite defeat that bugger Shredder.

Okay Jarrah, let me see if I can help. Shredder has about 4 attacks. 1) The sonic wave - Jump over it 2) The big attack from the air - Run around a bit and try not to be at a corner when he shoots it 3) The mini-Shredders - Don't let them touch you! 4) The bubble blast - Well I usually get hit by at least one of these things but just try to dodge and hit Shredder on the opposite side Now that we have the basics out of the way... I will tell you what seemed to be the easiest way for me to take down 'ol Shredd head First of all. Its easiest to fight him with Leonardo (much less get to him at all). So I'll tell you how to beat him with Leo. Oh and be sure to conserve you ooze containers. At the start of the fight (and basically whenever you can get a good hit in) do Leo's dash special (charge attack). Then jump over the sonic wave. I find it easiest to kind of jump over Shredder as he fires it, but sometimes you'll have to improvise. When he jumps into the air you can attack him a few times by doing a jump attack but don't get too greedy because he'll quickly punish you with is big mid air sonic wave. So once you've hit him a few times, just run around and try to dodge the wave. When he gets back on the ground try to hit him with a dash move, and dodge the sonic waves again. Rinse repeat... until he backs off for a moment... Then you can get a good charged dash in. Soon after that he'll start morphing into little Shredders and the best way to handle these guys is to charge up while Shredder is morphing/spliting and hit them all with a dash attack. You might miss one maybe two but its better than dealing with all 4. Be sure not to let them touch you. Leo's upward strike is good for preventing any touching (NO touchy!). Do this for everytime he becomes the mini-Shredds heads. Soon after this he'll start using the bubble attack. He charges up his sword and then blast you with a nastly slice and some very annoying bubbles. On the bright side... he's pretty easy to fight from this point on because he wont attack for the moment the bubbles are bouncing. But of course getting hit by the bubbles hurts quite a bit. Eventually you will likely get to the point when you both are very low on health and you are fighting for you life. Just wail on him whenever you get the chance in crunch time and hope for the best. That's what I did anyway. He's not all that hard I suppose but it may take you a while to get the rhythem down, but luckily you have all the continues in the world and you start off with a full bar at the begining of the fight. So that's about it. Good luck! |
I still haven't beat Shredder yet.. I did on the computer last week using cheats because I just wanted to see the damn ending.
I thought Hun was pretty hard the first time I played as him. But then I discovered jumping on him in such. For my 7th-10th fighting him, and being low on health, I obviously picked up the other ways and started a new strategy. It wasn't too successful for some reason. We were both do to next to nothing. I did something kind of stupid though; I jumped at him from afar and tried to swipe at him but he gave me an uppercut and killed me.. I did the same strategy afterwards, keeping half of my health.. Weird. |
:D I defeated Shredder last night! :D :D :D :tparty:
so far ive only been able to beat shredder with leo :(
Me too :(
:D I defeated Shredder a few days ago using the other three turtles! and guess what else, last night I picked up a copy of Turtles on PS2!
