MWA HA HA HA FOGU GOT FOXBOX
 

I think there'll be a problem w/ people getting their FOXBox's. The first 2 Toys R Us stores that I called had never even HEARD of the FOXBox. The 3rd one knew what a FOXBox was, but their email stated that they were suppose to be given out before September, but there was no date saying WHEN they were suppose to be given out. Luckly she was nice enough to put one aside for me so I grabbed the train and took a trip downtown to pick it up :)

So far this is what I have up -

The "mimi tmnt comic" is actually drawn by Michael Doony so no sneak-peak of what the Turtles might look like. It's basically the first few pages of TMNT #1 (1984-style) where the boys battle against the Purple Dragon Gang. There's also a video too that comes with the box, but you can see the mpg's on the cd that it comes with. There's a TMNT one but it's more of a "coming soon!" where it shows a group of 4 real turtles sitting on a manhole cover next to a container of ooze that says T.C.R.I.

The cd also has some tmnt wallpaper on it in .bmp format and a black and white picture you can print out and color. I guess you can PRETEND that you're coloring in the Turtles since it's only the same black outlike that we've seen before :)

Oh yea, it also has a MP3 of the new Turtle theme song :) very garoovy.

*edit* I went back through and took some more photos and uploaded some of the stuff that was on the cd. If you can't wait to see what's in the FOXBox (or you're International from the USA and you won't get one) you can view the stuff at http://www.fogu.com/toon/foxbox/ . I don't know how many people are going to be able to get the FOXBox, since only 1 of my TRU stores knew about it. The email was sent out to the managers on the 20th but with no real details as what to do with the boxes; just have them out of the store by September. Some stores may have already given out their boxes and it's possible some others have just trashed them.

sweet can't wait, i thought they were supposed to come out august 31, i hope i can get a lot of them.

I got a box from the Lloyd Center TRU. The Clackamas and Tigard ones had no idea what I was talking about. I didnt call the Janzen Beach one though, so you might have luck there :P

Well the wallpapers gave me a crc error when trying to decompress em :-?
But the other stuff was cool...specially the theme song and the preview clip...errrr...nah the clip was kinda boring :ohwell:

Yeah, I thought it was nice too. Hell, I think it's damn cool, but it's stuck in my head now. :lol: It's a great tune, but I don't want it stuck in my head, ya know?

The wallpapers worked fine for me... In fact im using it right now!
I hope we could see how the turtles look, soon... If they are like in the mini comic i would be happy!

truthfully the themesong sounded preety bad, maybe I'm too tied down to the 80's but I get the feeling they want to aim it at todays kids :dead:

I think it was good... But the original series had much more kiddy theme than this... "When evil shredder attacks..."

Yeah...i think i never thought on how it would be the theme, all this time i was thinking on the animation...but i like how they sing "teenage mutant ninja tuuuuuuurtles!" :P

ooo wowsa! Hey, thanksie Cher for posting this up, maybe there is good in one who obsesses over gold underwear after all! Now I don't have to totally embarrass myself by going into a Toys R Us and get one of these things (which I prolly won't like, since the other toons don't interest me). I only wanted to see what's new for the TMNT... no need to collect it. :P

Exactly! The original TMNT comics I have are better than that FoxBox one, and there's nothing new really, other than the logo and the theme song. :goofygri:

That theme song does sound like it lacks something though. Sounds like they are trying to be like the Tour Turtles, but the music just doesn't have enough rythm. Or that they say teeange mutant ninja turtles too much. hrmm.. :oops:
