What if the New Cartoon was really bad
I am only speaking in unrealistic terms, but what if the new cartoon fell way below expectations, from the looks of it, I bet it wont, but what would you do then
would you still get up n the morning to watch the cartoon, buy all the stuff realteing to the new cartoon (DVD's and stuff down the road) EVEN if i hated the cartoon with all my heart, i would still watch it no matter what Don't get me wrong, the show looks great to me, I just hope it doesn't turn out to be horrible |
Supposing the new cartoon would be bad, i would still watch it, no matter how bad it is...i've already learned from my mistakes...i thought next mutation was bad so i didn't watched it, and now untill today i regret that choice :ohwell:
But it looks good so far, i don't think it will be bad :) |
If turtles look like that and the plots are from mirage i can't believe it would be bad... I have noticed that i even like movies that my friends say are bad... Only thing that could be bad is the fighting scenes... That is an important part of the show...
yeah... it's possibly to be scared... after being burned twice from Image comics and TNM (or thrice if you count the third movie).
But I think the Mirage guys learned their lessons... and will give it their all to make sure this show won't totally suck. :P |
Yeah this time Peter is closely involved with the project unlike the first cartoon or next mutation. Especially in next mutation fox called the shots and that's what made it bad...
I have high hopes for this new show, but even if it doesn't live up to expectations, I will loyally follow the cartoon and continue to support the TMNT. Of course, since I'm an optimist, I don't think the cartoon is going to be bad at all. :D
I agree, it would have to be really bad in order to get me to not watch it. But considering who is behind it, I doubt it'll be that bad, and I have high hopes from what I've seen so far.
Yeah... I hoep we would see some animation soon... Only then we could know better...
I really hope it does well, but in today's world, kids may think of the Ninja Turtles as old and outdated. The show will have to clamor to today's audience. It also might have to answer to the parents council, or whatever that thing is.
I want the show to do well. I really do. But if history is any indication, it will have a short run and be forgotten. "Where are they gettin' their gear? Mars?!" - Raphael, from "Turtle Tracks" |
I've worried about that too and if they do pander to kids now they will loose many old fans such as myself :x well after sitting through the hell of the foxbox program and seeing what kids like now, we may have trouble :(
Heh... Well, if what I saw at Toys R Us was any indication... I think the TMNT are headed for mainstream media once again. A lot of the kids who opened up their Fox Boxes got really excited over the TMNT mini comic. I was surprised that some of them even knew who the Ninja Turtles were!! One little girl (about age 6 or 7) ran around her mother squealing over the Ninja Turtles. I think the next generation of kids are going to enjoy the TMNT as much as we did. :anime:

Yeah the old seris had really good episodes here and there... But I will always love the first season...
I have really high hopes for the new show. I've seen the fight scenes on MIB and Jackie Chan and they're really good and exciting. And given how they've discribed Mikey, I doubt we'll be wanting for better humor. But we'll have to see.
That is such a cute story, Azure. |
Yep... I think the kids are in safe hands with the TMNT. :anime:
I really enjoy watching Jackie Chan Adventures... When I first heard about it, I thought it was going to be real corny. But the storylines are entertaining, the animation is cool, and the fight scenes are well done. Lots of comedy too, especially with Uncle. That guy is too funny. All we can do now is hope that the new TMNT cartoon gets off the ground without any complications. And speculating about it is always fun. |
If 4Kids has the Turtles lipsinc-ing to that weird theme song for the opening credits I don't know if I'll watch it :dead:
- Cher Hug your GU today! |
*blink* Whaa... ? I doubt that would be bad... I mean, *nothing* could be worse that Turtle Tunes or that Christmas Video the COOTS did. :P
*sniff* I didn't get a FoxBox! I'll try today...
Personally, I'll watch it and tape it no matter what! I'll also be buying the action figures! |
I you don't like theme song and that is the reason you don't watch the show...
I think it's so funny how so many people despise the new theme song. I'm sure there were a lot of older people who thought the original theme was terrible or too corny. I grew up on that theme song, which is why I enjoy it, even though playing it annoys the hell out of my family. Kids who watch this new show will end up having the same feelings over the new theme song... It'll be their song, just like the original was ours. :)
so beautifully put Azure! *sniff* I have much faith, just little access... *shrug*
Oy dudette, y'mean you won't be having a TV in your room? Maybe you should ask your roommate to split one with you. Deciding who gets to keep it at the end may be a problem, though...
nah, she's planning on moving out soon, so i'll have to engage in cartoonial battle saturday mornings...
Bummer... Maybe you can splay your claws at the potential enemies? I'm sure that will make them give you the remote control without arguing. ;)
Dunno, might make them call animal control, and I dont want that...yet.
*snicker*
I don't think animal control could catch ya, Machias. ;) Y'know, I'm getting antsy waiting for any screenshots of the new toon. I'm really anxious to see what the finished product will look like. I hope there's going to be a sneak peek sometime soon... |
hear hear! I also hope the character's voices sould almost as good as the originals...oh, if they were able to get the original voice actors, I'd be able to die happy! :D
I wouldnt....In my opinion, the original voice actors were terrible, and didnt fit the turtles, and ecspecially wont fir their Mira like attitiudes.
I think the voices were good for that show, but the new one? Two words: No Fricking way!

Raphael's voice was great, as long as Rob Paulsen was doing the voice. Michaelangelo's voice was okay, it was just what came out of his mouth that was dumb. Splinter's voice was way too soft in later seasons. April was pretty solid. Vernon had the most annoying voice in the toon, hands down. Thank God he won't be reappearing (I hope). |
Pssst, Karpo... That was three words. ;)
I think the old VAs could pull off the voices for the new cartoon if they sounded a lower and a bit rougher. Coleman could ease up on Mike's voice, and lose the surfer lingo. |
The new cartoon looks a bit darker than the old one. I thought the new theme song for the tmnt cartoon kindof rocked and rolled. :rolling:
JACK JIMMENY CRICKET!!! i woke up at 9:27 AM today (saturday) and thought the show was at 10! i had to go through these muscle man and ultima tiga shows. kirby was cool, seeing that i've played teh series from NES to GB to N64. it just might come on GC. anyway... i need to know, does the show come at 9 AM every morning?
They have the official schedule at the FoxBox website, i believe...
and the link is...?
Uh....shoot, i dont have it...
hmmm... i'll use google to look for it
Yo Ninja Nin! ;) Here's the link to the Fox Box site: www.foxbox.tv
The TMNT cartoon will begin airing sometime in February, and it'll have the 10 am spot. |
With the Jackie Chan crew behind it, I wonder if the series writing will be as captivating as Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot, which they also made. A truly underrated comic-based series that was cancelled way before it's time.
After seeing a reflux of 80s properties come back resently, like the new He-Man show, which appears to be pretty good so far... I don't think there will be much to worry about. Then again, it could end up like Transformers: Armada... which makes me want to cry. I'll hope for the best. |
Well I truly hope that kids today will like tmnt. If it becomes popular again that would mean more prjoects. I think that the 4th movie probably depends on it...
