TMNT on Dreamcast (Beats of Rage TC/mod)
just thought I'd give you guys a heads up on this WIP project.
Fellow DC Devver Ian Michael is modding the game Beats of Rage into a total conversion TMNT game similar to the arcade style of the Konami games past. If completed, this will show up on Dreamcast and perhaps on PC as well. Read about it here: http://www.dcemulation.com/phpBB/vie...c&start=20 |
gotta love DCemulation... 8)
This game looks like it will be interesting, but the only thing that is disappointing is: no Raph |
:o pligg, are you a member there? and yeah, I'ld like to see raph... rumor goes he'll pop up, probably unlockable by beating the game
|
I'm not a member, but I used to download all the good DCemulation. There's alot of good stuff on there. I will never tire of my Dreamcast.
That'd be cool if he was unlockable...and maybe some other unlockable characters too. |
It's about time you posted this Imp! I was saving it for you!
Beats of Rage is such a fun game, I can't wait untill I can play it as the TMNT. |

For any of you "gamers" out there who don't own a Dreamcst - shame on you. |
Hey Impetus, I Got a Hello Kitty Dreamcast here :o
(Thems boys is rare) |
|
Wow, I've never even seen that one before.
I guess you got me beat there. When did that one get released? |
It's the only one in existence.
... ... ... I modded it a couple weeks ago. Glad it looked decent enough to fool ya. |
Wow, looks proffesional! Good job dude. you totally had me fooled, I almost posted it on a DC Forum to ask about it
|
Wow, my Dreamcast is just the good old normal Dreamcast! I should dream up a design for it..
|
My Normal US dreamcast has stickers all over it.. then there's the Pink see thru hello kitty dreamcast. That's just spectacular to see.
|
got any pics, grunger_kittie?
|
we're way off topic but...
http://www.shinforce.com/dreamcast/DC-Kitty-Pink.jpgnote that this is a Japanese-only model. The Japanese compact keyboard is pretty cool lookin with both alphabets, it's about laptop keyboard size. I've got a Japanes DC with key/mouse combo, but not in the cool Hello Kitty pink. :) |
That kinda really frightens me XD.
I've yet to buy a DC... I should, 'cause they're pretty cheap used now. |
heh heh...I didn't even know there were different types of Dreamcasts...I just have the plain old U.S. version, but my friend gave me a really good deal on it.
But anyway, back on-topic: looks like people want Vanilla Ice to make a guest appearance. All I can say is: NOOO! :tdead: :tthumbsd: |
lol - did you read my posts? I'm trying to get things straight.
|
Yeah, it would be cool to see it as all red bandannas...What the hell, since they will always have their weapons in their hands anyway? Metallica soundtrack...hehhe i doubt that would happen but it would be cool
|
Confused here...
I thought they stopped making Dreamcasts... :-?
|

But some of us Dreamcast owners are special enough to know how to get more play out of them :D |
unfortunately the DC got canned a couple years back (outside of Japan, anyway). The last US (and PAL, I think) release was NHL2K2.
but that doesn't stop it from being great! |
I hgated the Dream Cast, sdo they stilll make games?
|
depend on who "they" is.
In Japan, new official DC games are still being released and going strong. Sonic Team is releasing Puyo Puyo Fever on DC and other systems. Elsewhere, homebrewers are still putting out games, both comercially and for free. why hate the good old DC? It was WAY ahead of its time, better performance in many respects than PS2. |
Quote:
And how can someone hate the dreamcast??? I'm so fearcely loyal to the DC I just cant understand that. I mean, damn you can play NES and other classic games on it!! |
Gotta love DC's. You can use 'em for anything. I put some SNES roms on one once. That was fun! I did actually put both Tournament Fighters and TMNT IV on there. They played pretty slow though.
This guys mod looks sweet! |
yeah, SNES and Gen are not full speed yet, but NES, SMS, GBC, and other "simpler" consoles are full speed with sound (translation: darn near perfect)
but anyway, this topic 's about the TMNT BOR mod. Which, if you check the thread, seems to be shaping up nicely. |
I never got a DC cause I was saving for a PS2, but I'm thinking of buying one at EB, they are like $30.
|
At most EB's now you can get two for that price. :D Definitely worth it.
|
I haven't added any mods to BOR yet, but I have played the hell out of it on My DC, am I the only tO play it so far?
|
nope
|
Quote:
And yeah, NES on the Dreamcast rocks. SNES is pretty cool too, but I don't play it as much. |
not really
i picked it up at EB for 5 bucks |
*waves hands in the air*
Hey! I'm a proud DC owner! My favorite game has to be Power Stone 2, and it took me forever to find a copy. :anime: BTW, I'm not familiar with DC mods. How does one play these mods on a DC? :???: The TMNT one looks awesome... |
Quote:
If not I can PM you |
Nope... No one's sent me a PM. :(
I'd appreciate your help very much, Gk-san. :D |
Grah! My Dreamcast's drive motor stopped working, so it's dead in the water...
I need to buy a new one. However, it has a Sonic Adenture 2 sticker on top. Edit: Oh yeah, I own 61 Dreamcast games. All perfectly legally purchased from stores (mostly EB) No burnt stuff here. (Damn lame-os that killed the DC in the first place...grr.) |
I've been buying DC games five at a time recently..there's a store around here that has all DC games for $3 each. I've bought 10 so far..

I've got about 20 Real GD Roms, I hope to buy more. (If I can find more) |
the first beta is out - it's a first level demo, NOT a complete version by any means.
http://www.c99.org/~shinji_ikari256/tmnt_mod/index.htm ask me if you need help burning it |
