Well, if i remember right, they actually did an episode like this on the original cah-toon, so that should be a nice lil nod to them folks :D

Whatever... anyways, It seems that the lovely Lady Karai is going to be having a few trouble trying to follow her 'father's' rules. Kill those who helped her try to bring peace to the city? Goes against gut instinct. Unfortunately the gut in charge of her is saying otherwise...

Shredder: Yes!
Karai: No!
Shredder: Dont you talk back to me!
Karai: Why should i listen to you, youre just a brain...

Shredder: *raises his arm* The time for games has ended! No more sharades!!! You see me as I am and it will be the last thing you'll ever see!! Prepare to meet your destiny and your doom!!

Shredder:I DO NOT INTEND TO DESTROY IT <MACHIAS>. I WILL USE IT TO SEND YOU TO YOUR DOOM. Perhaps I will place you in the extreme heat of a supernova or the cold endless vacuum of space. After I dispose of you I will use this device the conquer the homeworld of the Utroms. AND I WILL DESTORY EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU KIND <MACHIAS>!!

Overall, that was a good episode. It was good to see Zog make his appearance in the series. Did anyone else think that the turtles should have been a little more surprised that Shredder was alive?

Hmm... it wasnt too bad. I think some of it could have been executed a lil better.

Baxter as a brain was REALLY surprising. And the Splinter-mech was pretty cool. Seeing the real Splinter snapping at them to "Put that down!" and spazzing was funny. I loved Mike's reaction to the two Splinters..

"Say what?"


I must say, after that Splinter getting a lil hellbent was neat to see. And then the thing with Zog wasnt too bad. The way he ripped the Splinter-mech to pieces was kinda disturbing... :o

I would agree that they probably shoulda practically soiled themselves at seeing the Shredder alive again. I mean, come on, you went through this whole big nasty war.

Damn Hun....annoying bossy older 'brother'...

I'd give this part... oh, 7.5/10

as far as i can remember they had a funny feeling that he wasnt gone 4ever so i would say now.......oh man this ep was greati mean robo splinter, baxter brain zog, the footgunners(now remamed) wow it was great!XD

Well, this was tons better than the last few episodes, and already I think I'm going to like this one better than the City at War eps (which admittedly I didn't like all that much).

Some notes, though:

1. Robot clones? Argh! So cliched! And yet, with the robot Splinter and President and Prime Minister (ha!), it almost felt like the old show was buried underneath there somewhere. :goofygri:

2. Zog was acting awfully clear-headed with the following of orders and the accurate description of his escape for someone who was supposedly hopped up on poison gas.

3. The Shredder. Why keep doing closeups of his face with the glowing red eyes? THAT'S NOT REALLY HIS FACE!!! Before it was like, "Oooh, this guy's hardcore; his eyes glow!" but now that we know it's just a robot head, that's kinda lame. That would be like me wearing a hat with a lantern on it and they kept doing closeups of my lantern. And remember the old Krang -- when they did the closeups of him, they didn't shoot the goofy bald guy head, they shot DA MAN...er...BRAIN in DA STOMACH! Redyu (that's my new name for him, Redyu -- Red U(trom), get it? :D) needs a clear window or something.

4. Baxter as a brain with an eyeball in a jar is going way too far. Not to mention that we've seen brains and eyes in jars ten thousand times before. Think Baxter will become the new Mutagen Man?

Video game exclusive characters? Bulls*** ALL AROUND!!! First the Turtlebot and now the Foot Gunners? When's the Giant Mouser gonna come along??

I didn't...he's been still alive...uh how many times now? @.@ Anyways...Am I the only one that thought this ep was short? And though it's against my nature I must give a big 'Told ya so' to all those folks that were sure Hun was gonna be dead. Hehe seems some folk heard us...Baxter reminded me of the convo that my busy IRL friend and I had about him.

Rie: Man....Baxter's nuts! If I were him I'd stop working for Shredder!
me: Well he can't really help it anymore, infact he's been trying to 'avenge' himself lately.
Rie: ...wow wonder how he'll end up...
me: probably as a brain or something...
Rie: nah, screw that, he's only gonna be an eye ball!

Looks like we were both right, lol.

Well, this oughta make those baxter figure bashers happy. At least we aren't getting that Krang/Baxter thing. Eww!

As far as the episode, I simply loved when Shredder made his goals clear to Hun "I WANT THE TURTLES DESTROYED!"

Hun's gotta be thinkin', "You're kidding master! THey were the life of our last party, and I just love Michelangelo, he's so funny."

Seriously though, I thought this was a good episode. I missed Zog in Return to New York (which is where he was in the comics). Glad to see that did use that idea though.

Shredder's new Threads, er, scraps are cool. Perhaps this will be the one that Playmates will use for an Evil Utrom Shredder. That would be the best ever!

Oh, and did anyone else feel like playin' Mario brothers during the Turtlize your room sweepstakes commercials?

I think Baxter may end up looking like Mutagen Man.. :roll:

Zog is a nice addition, he really shows how small the turtles are. Plus how he beat Cyber-Splinter was a quality fight scene. I think his brain has been permanently damaged so breathing nitrogen won't turn him psycho.

So how'd Hun get back? And when did he become friends with the Elite Foot? Wasn't he trying to kill them a few weeks ago? Either way, I amused when Shredder sent Hun and the Elite off to find the turtles since Hun lumbered his way off and the Elite just jumped away.

Speaking of Shredder, what's with his new suit? Did he seem smaller to anyone else? Am I asking too many questions?

Foot Mechs = Foot Gunner! I thought he was a videogame exclusive like Turtlebot...

Not a bad episode, could have used more Karai and more Casey...

Wow what an episode this episode had just about everything. I totally loved it and cannot wait for part 2 next week.
It's nice to have Mr. Red back so glad Karai is back as well....don't know if I can say the same for Hun I just don't like the guy and it ticks me off hard-core that shredder is always so easy on the jerk he always fails him yet he doesn't get his arms or body parts chopped off. It was awesome seeing more of the foot tech it was great they added the foot gunners to the show even if they had a different name and that robot splinter was realy bad ass it reminded me allot of the old cartoon I hope we get a toy of him.
I am really sad about the state of Baxter stockman I'm so serious when I saw him it kinda put me in a state of shock it made me really sad Baxter is my favorite character and seeing him like this just freaks me out...I know he will somehow have his revenge perhaps in the form from volume 2 seeing him like this just so freakin creeps me out though.
And ZOG! Go ZOG! hehe man it's a shame zogs not gonna last it'd be awesome if the TMNT had a triceraton friend I really love how the show ended today great cliffhanger you so know zogs gonna flip out next week and kick all those foot soldiers butts!
I also liked this look into more of splinters angry side that we hardly ever see it was nice to see him flip out...he's gonna be in for a huge surprise when he sees Big Red's back heh.
This episode was really great in my opinion and I can't wait till next week I wish it was now I'm going to hate waiting for the next episode.
I guess this 10 out of 10 stars.

P.s. The Most Amazing thing today was No William Hung!

I liked this episode, it was cool. I woke up at exactly 9:30 and missed the intro, though. It was really nice to see Zog, and he even said "For the Republic!" like he does countless times in the "Return to New York" comics.
I'm wondering what they're going to do with Zog when this is all over. I'm thinking that air helmet they gave him will make him sane again, and he will attack the Turtles.
Leo took the words right out of my mouth when Don gave Zog that air helmet..."uh, is that such a good idea?" Nice foreshadowing.
Baxter as a brain was good too..I was sick of looking at his ugly face lol. I wonder how he could talk? Maybe he was just thinking, like in "the Man with Two Brains".
I'm waiting for Shredder to turn Hun into something, because he keeps failing him too.
So it looks like Hun didn't die, and didn't get arrested. I wonder how he got away from the cops?
Karai definitely does not want to kill the Turtles. And Shredder was being awfully mean to her for being her "father". What an a**hole. I predict she is going to turn against him next week, because she gave the Turtles her word in honor.

lol quite possiblelmao but i got a feeling he is some how gonna get another robot body and be able to run around again lmao... him just floating around in his hover tube is not a good careere change. lmao. and i got a question..is it me or has shredders armor changed? it looks alot diff then i remember..its been a while since i say him last lmao. it looks better at any rate.

Is it just me or did the robot Splinter look a LOT different when he confronted the turtles.

When the robot was first shown in Shredder's hq, he had just been made and didn't have his details yet, such as fur.

:evilgrin: This episode was the DEVIL!! God, I love it when they drag the entire family out to fight . . .

Baxter as a brain had me spazzing out a little bit. Okay, a lot. I think it comes from playing waaaaay too much Star Fox 64. But, he's looking good! . . .no, not really.

And now we know that the government is out to get us, but as robots! Watch out Mr. Bush & Mr. Blair!! (I'm feeling a Bad Dudes vibe coming back . . only Raphael is bad enough to save the President!!)

Zog has issues. Zog needs some Paxil. :o Went a little nuts-o on the robot.

This has been one of the best episodes I've seen in a while, since my ESP alarm went off only once . . . :lol:

Baxter needs to stop coming back NOW. It's getting so stupid. Shredder's line about Baxter losing weight was great though, and almost tipping him, but that's not enough to make up for it!

I liked that there was actually an explaination of how they built all this stuff. They used Utrom technology they found in Secret Origins. While it was reminiscent of the old toon, it was expalined better and the robots actually had skill, so I didn't mind it at all. I wonder if the Foot Gunners will have the same weapons they did in the game. That would make for an awesome fight scene.

Zog kicked shell. He totally owned Splinter. Zog = equalizer. 'Stealth is not one of one of my strong points.' 'Well, d'uh'

Shredder's newly designed suit is good. I really like the new design. I think the Turtles weren't as schocked to see Shredder because they're so use to him coming back they just expect it now. As Mikey said, The bad guys always come back.

It was nice to see Raph truely caring that Splinter was hurt. Under all that gruff exerior, he does care.

Best line was probably by Leo. 'Mike, you stay here and watch Zog. Don...you stay here and watch Mikey.'

The recon scene was good. Niced to see them using stealth again. The way Leo dragged the Foot reminded me of Metal Gear.

Overall a really good episode. It set up a a huge fight for next episode, showed that Karai doesn't really want to hurt the Turtles (maybe she'll turn on Shredder next episode) and it explained how the Foot got their Technology well enough for a 1/2 hour cartoon. 8/10.

Great episode. Especially after the two 'filler' episode. Man, poor Baxter. Seriously, how much worse can this guy get. I mean, not like he'll turn up a half a brain or something now. Maybe he'll steal one of the Footechnics bodies. Or even worse, the President or Prime Minister bodies.

All and all, a good episode though. And Shredder said 'Human Guardians' so that confirms for those few remaining folks that were wondering if they were human or Utroms. Shredder's new suit looks good, glad that they realized that it's a good idea to keep slightly altering the looks.

Damn cliff hangers though. Going to be agony waiting for the second half of this episode arc. Especially to see how it ends. Loved the Splinter Vs. Splinter fight. Hope we get figures of the Robo-Splinter without his 'skin', or at least one with battle damage panals or something like that. :)

I think the reason Shredder's suit looked different is that he got a new suit made that is JUST a shredder suit and not armor for his Oruku Saki suit... He probably thinks Karai tainted his other one...

ok everyone keeps asking why they didnt act wierd or suprised when seeing shredder.
um when did they see shredder? I don't think they know hes back yet unless I missed something.
The only thing was the intro but leonardo was doing a voice over which did make things odd but I don't think the turtles or splinter know shredder is back yet unless I missed something.

Raph, Leo and Splinter saw him through a grating on the ship. As I said, I think it's just that he's come back so many times, it's not much of a shock anymore when he does. The real shock will be when he stays down :)

I loved this ep....Zog was awesome, and I LOVE Shredders new suit. We better get a figure of that!

Much, much, much enjoyed. Yeah, I liked the "watch Mikey" line too. And the line about diesel fuel and hanging up his tool belt from Don? Classic. He has a sarcastic side, too. :P

I'm also enjoying the mega-peeved Splinter. It's something new, and shows that even HE is not a perfect ninja yet.

I feel bad for Karai. I don't know WHAT I would do in her situation. To be honest, I'd probably go with the Shredder... Think about it. Blood is thicker than water, I think - although he isn't REALLY her father... I don't know. I mean, I'm sure that in the show, she's going to go with the turtles, because they're big on honor, and she's just too cool to get killed by the turtles for sticking with a crazy utrom. Maybe she'll realize that her father has gone nutso and is nto following the path of a true ninja (which she seems to be very into) at all.

Did anyone else think about the 4 year olds that are watching this when they showed the Baxter brain? I don't know about you, but I woulda screamed for mommy at that point.

I thought about Mutagen Man. I wonder how Baxter will come back next time. I'm thinking he may use the worms that healed Shredder, and then we'll be back to human body Baxter. Just a theory.

i think those worms only heal wounds and don't restore lost body parts.

I missed CaW part 3, so I wouldn't know how the worms work.

Cool episode. I liked it for, well, alot of the reasons already mentioned, so I won't go into them again.

But, uh, was anyone else kind of surprised when Zog asked if he could terminate himself for his failure...? I mean, not that it surprised me, really, but thinking of the kids asking their parents about it...

Anyway...

Hehe, I think that was my favorite line in the show... Plus Raph's little thing about Splinter being angry. "I kinda like it."

man, reading this makes me sad, cause I woke up late and only caught the last 5 minutes of this ep, which were still pretty cool. AND, I have to go visit colleges next weekend so im gonna miss part 2. Man that sucks. And they are prolly gonna come out with it on video before they show re-runs of it. :evil:

Good episode but I wished that instead of Junkopulis there was a fallow up to City at War that answered a few questions. Like how Hun escaped the police and just how the foot got their hands on Stockman and reduced him to a brain.

Anyway man now I want Stockman to get revenge on Hun even more. Hun reduced Stockman to a brain I think he may want a little pay back.

Nice to see Splinter mad but then again who would not be after your worst enemy just sent your very likeness to kill your family?

I’m a bit shocked about Shredders plan on TV assassination of the President and Prime minister and replace them with robots? Well turtles 2k3 has pushed the limits since it started so maybe that is not so much a shock.

As for the turtles not being surprised at the shredders survival, well remember Reflections? At the end of that episode they all figured that since the Shredder survived death before there was a good chance he will survive this time as well. I guess the turtles know that they have to stop the life of that brain personally to end the Shredder’s rain.

Shedder has a sense of humor who would have thought?

Oh from the way Leo was doing the intro it seems he might have feeling for Karai, not that it is much a shock to me or anything.

Final thing this episode confirms that the Guardians and Utroms will return latter possibly with greater numbers. I guess the Utroms can’t leave their greatest enemy lying around doing what ever he wants huh?

All and all I would say 9/10 great over all episode but I have a feeling next week will eclipse it.

Yeah, that's a heck of a plan... I mean, it's interesting to see that Shredder's not just totally focused on destroying the turtles (kind of relieving, actually.) But when I saw that part of the episode I know my jaw dropped. That's pretty heavy, there...

Nice begining of showing shredder saying his ressurection and recouperation is complete. They still need more of an explanation for his survival. The worms just healed him. Shredder was just hellbent on destroying the turtles, like saying he wants the turtles destroyed and would squeeze the life out of them.

The robot splinter battle was too brief. Splinter was really angry today like saying he wants the facility to be exploded.

I never thought of that with the utroms and guardians coming back in numbers. MAybe they will come back in the turtles final battle with shredder. The utroms and guardians said they will be back

All of you were right about zog's oxygen thing affecting his brain. He is helping the turtles. I knew that triceraton zog mentioned in the ep guides was the one that escaped into the sewers.

I told you all that Hun did not die. he did groan when he landed on the police car. HE must have knocked all the police out when they attempted to arrest him with his massive strenghth.

The foot mechs did look just like the foot gunners. I never thought that would happen.

Shredder must have been using the ship because his old HQ is destroyed.

Wow that was incredible of baxter being a brain. How did they do that. What will baxter be next??????????????????? That was funny when hun turned baxter's voice down when he was babling. Baxter is at it again with running his mouth. Like he ran his mouth in return to new york. Funny when Baxter said back off when he was about to press the shock. They have just about narrowed it down with Baxter, first a normal human, 2nd eyebach, then in a wheelchair with a robotic hand, then a cyborg, then a spider, then a head in a utrom, then in a robotic body and now a brain???? poor guy. Maybe baxter will learn next time. It was good to see shredder make a joke, when he said you should have quit while you where ahead.

Shredder is just evil. He even threatened kari when he said what happens to traitors when she said to stop the misery.

Shredder was also harsh to hun in this ep. Hun probably avoids punishments because of his loyalty to the shredder.

I was not surprised to see the turtles reaction to seeing shredder. In reflections the turtles did mention that Shredder may still be alive and in Secret orgins 3 they wondered if shredder was gone forgood.

Theory for the next ep, Kari will turn against shredder. Another is the turtles will blow up or sink the ship and shredder will escape somehow.

Excellent episode! Their is a lot here that I found to be compelling. I'm happy the Shredder is back, because now he is so pissed off that makes his character so much more interesting. Some tidbits I noticed.

-Karai's sense of honor is overwhelming her. When Baxter Stockman brain got fried, she asked how this has anything to do with honor. And everytime Karai's soul tells her that this is dishonorable, Shredder asks her if something is wrong. In the second part, she is going to make a decision whether or not to follow her sense of honor and join the Turtles, or keep her loyalty to her master.

-Baxter Stockman as a brain? I'm not too sure about this. What is this like the 7th incarnation of him? I hope he doesn't say just a brain forever, however now Shredder can control him. It's hard for a brain to betray.

-Ah! The reason Zog is with the Turtles is because of the Earth's atmosphere. It's causing him to be disillusional. But now that he has his nitrogen, how long will it be before he realizes who the Turtles really are? I hope he doesn't, because he is a good wild card against the Foot and the Shredder.

-Are the Foot planning to kill the President of the United States and the Prime Minister of England? Looks like it. I guess Shredder is going to try and take over the world. But first he must have to destroy the Turtles.

-Everyone notice Shredder's new digs? Perhaps they are more than just a spanky new look. Perhaps he is more powerful in the suit. I guess we'll see when he fights the Turtles. I hope he finally fights with Splinter.

-Splinter was extremely pissed off! We have never seen that, and Raph liked that. Interesting.

-Finally, the Splinter bot was pretty good idea, but Stockman was right when Hun screwed it up. It would of worked better if the bot destroyed the real Splinter. Still, we're not sure if the bot is completely destroyed, even though Zog ripped it to shreads.

Overall, this was a great episode. I can't wait to see what happens in part 2. Will the Shredder have his ultimate revenge? Will Karai's sense of honor allow her to betray her master? And will Zog continue to aid the Turtles? I can't wait to find out!!!
