New Theme
 

I forgot the site, but useing one of the links on the technodrome, I heard the new TMNT theme, and I'm sorry I think it sucks! The best was the 2nd theme in the later seasons of the original cartoon. Then the original song.

Err... I've gotta disagree with you. I think the original theme song was the best, followed by the brand new theme song. I didn't like the theme song used for the Red Sky eps... :neutral: But it all boils down to personal preference.

I think the new one is ok... But the theme music dosent really matter anyway...

True, but still......the soing just is bad. Besides, does this cartoon take place in the future? It says for 15 years we trained. It's been 6 years scince TMNT went off the air.

The turtles are fifteen years old in the new show, which is not conected to the old cartoon, they are totally seperate universes.

I happen to like the new song. Not as much as the old cartoon song, but I still like it.

I like it too :D The red eps one was...okay, but i like the new one and the original...

Wut are the red eps?

The last three seaons of the old cartoon show. They're termed the "red sky eps" because, well, the sky was always painted red. It had this really weird opening sequence with clips from the first movie added in, and they cut the original song up.

Im currentlu wacthing 5:th season... i Cant wait until i get to the red sky eps... I know everyone thinks the earlier are better but i probably dont. Becaus i like darker tmnt more than the goofy ones.

the red sky eps were just preety bad, no other way to put it, it was a last minute attempt to reboot the cartoon. The new theme was below my expectation sorry to say, the original theme can not be beaten!! I know it by heart!!

Yeah, what's with the song saying "TURTLES....FIGHT BACK!" instead of "...these turtle boys don't cut him no slack!"? I know it was a completely different melody, but I still don't like the idea.

BTW: karpo, you might the answer to this; who on IRC has either MPG or AVI formats of all three intros?

Speaking of intros, I swear I found a video of the new cartoon's title sequence on Kazaa, but when I previewed it, I only got audio (and it was in .mov format too!) Does anybody have the video to that as well? I already have the TV ad teaser for it...

according to Dan Berger there is still no animation done on the show

thats just a commercial, they maybe doing key frames by now though

thats possible, they show some small rough animation test stuff by then, I'd be happy with that!

Speaking of the Red Sky eps theme, I don't understand why there wasn't a third theme involving Dregg once Shredder was out of the picture for good.

Good question Reznorite420. They may as well have put dregg in after Shredder and Krang kinda faded away.

I think that the creators got bored of doing same "take over the world" plot on every ep..(pinky and the brain anyone?) The change was just probably too much for the people that had watched it for 7 years. Personaly I havent watched any of them yet, But i think im going to like them. Im still going in the fifth season watching like 2 eps per day...

hmmm... come to think of it I belive I heard of some of the Tmnt people who worked on the cartoon eventually ent on to help make Pinky and the brain!!! A connection? A conspirecy!!!?

yup, incredibly smart guy (Krang, Shread-head aka brain) whos plans always get messed up by his goofing assistant (Bebop, rocksteady aka Pinky) :P

Yeah! There are a lot of similarities!

The voice of Raph is also the voice of Pinky...also the voice of Wacko...hell, I think he did a lot of voices for the Animaniacs cartoon.

No wonder i liked pinky and the brain...

I think you'll like the seventh and eighth seasons the best (not counting the Europe episodes as part of the seventh season). The eighth season is the first "red sky" season, before Carter shows up.

Yeah i think so too. But i dont wanna ski anything so it takes few weeks to get there...
