Image in colour.
Alot of people have said that TMNT Volume 3 would have looked better if it was in colour and not B&W, much like it's predecessor. Just a question, has anybody ever tried colouring it themselves?
You guys can feel free to post coloured scans of Image in this thread if you wish. |
that would be interesting to see

i really dunno which way is better, i don't care to be honest, strangely enough somethimes i feel b&w is better than color. it gives it an old effect. for example, watch an episode of batman TAS in B&W is seems to almost work better that way. But as for tmnt, i just don't care, i suppose budgetary reasons are a factor, and i really can't see the major enhancements from it.

It would be quite an intersting sight to see Raph's face in issue 1 in color.
And how could you watch Batman: TAS in B&W? It's mostly dark, especially in most of the battle and chase scenes. Don't your eyes hurt? |
i'm serious, turn the color down once while your watching it, it alomost seems to look more natural.
and how would it hurt my eyes?? weren't tv's B&W to begin with? |
I'll try it.
But I was raised in the land of Technicolor. Watching B&W makes me feel ill sometimes. I don't know why. |
A lot of the Image comics (depending on which inker) were in a very minimalistic b/w format with solid black and white surfaces and very little texturing, which did not lend itself well to coloring. (much like Sin City)
So I vote that colors would not have been a good idea. I like TMNT better in B/W anyway. |
