Snow!
*looks out window*
Wohoo! Everything's white! http://www.plauder-smilies.com/xmas/wbaum3.gif http://www.plauder-smilies.com/xmas/santabgrin.gif |
snow?!! ah you're in Sweden, lucky you  No snow for us here in Pennsylvania!! Not until January or Febuary and een then its only a couple inches, oh well I still appriciate it :D
|
Snow in Portland is a rarity. I saw only one or two flurries last year and nothing stuck.
|
I LOVE Maine! :D had four feet of snow, with six foot snowdrifts! :D Cant wait to go sledding...
|
grrrrrr.... you're so lucky!!! of course shoveling the driveway has got to be a pain in the neck :dead:
But who knows maybe we will get a lot this year the most ever was 3 feet in '96 :o |
I liked the ice storm we had years ago...yeah, we lost power, but i like candle light anyways, and there was no class, AND...it was pretty. :D
|
no power? yipes, I kind of like power outs too, but in the winter with no heat can get harsh.
But what I would give for a snow day!!! :tangel: |

We had 8 feet of snow in the southern part of Buffalo NY last year. No Joke. EIGHT FEET!
|
WOW! You got pics?!
|
*grumbles*
Lucky humans, mutants, meta-mutants, or whatever ye creatures be. It rarely snows in southern California. *pouts* |

I think it's snowed here in the Bay Area maybe once in the dozen or so years I've been here. It didn't even make it to the ground though. I've never seen snow with my own two eyes, not real snow, never touched it, or played in it or anything.
We get hail the size of golf balls. |
I've been in snow before... Trips to Oregon and the nearby mountains were always a lot of fun for me. My family and I haven't been on a snow trip in years, though... I think we're due for one this winter. :D
|
never sew real snow...only ice
|
Take heart Donatello. The last time it really snowed in Berkshire where I live, and I mean proper snow, none of this slush stuff was when I was in Primary School. Many many many years ago
|
huh. snow's overrated.
it's all fun and games until the blankty-blank stuff melts through your pants. ever read "To build a Fire" by Jack London? Snow isn't all Bing Crosby and hot cocoa. If you want a white Christmas, use tree flocking or scrape out your freezer or something. --kyabetsu, the FAMILY'S DESIGNATED sidewalk-shoveler/snowball-target/whoops-did-i-borrow-and-loose-ONE-of-your-gloves/can-you-do-my-laundry-now-that-everything-is-wet-because-i-wore-all-of-it-on-one-afternoon/hey-is-this-what-frostbite-looks-like/the-neighbor's-kid-just-hit-the-tree-in-the-front-yard-while-riding-an-old-fridge-door.-He's-ok.-but-the tree-is-now-sticking-through-the-previously-CLOSED-front-window/hey-are-we-snowed-in-cause-there's-no-more-toilet-paper REPRESENTATIVE |
I don't have my own pics of the storm from last year, but I may be able to dig some up from the local news channels.
|
heh.. I live in an area of the States that gets a nice moderate amount of snow. If you can call barely under a foot moderate. If we get two feet, it's like the storm of the year.
*wonders what eight feet of snow looks like, let alone four* |
I'm not too hot on snow myself. The one thing I do worry about is that my daughter will never experience the joy of making her first snowman.
Maybe in the future there will be no snow and my daughter will dismiss my stories of 'white stuff falling from heaven' as the ramblings of and old woman |
