Found Leo vs T Rex and Biker TMNT

Leo vs T-Rex is just so unappealing to me, but it does look cool. I also saw the Biker TMNT that comes with the shell cycle repaints. They also come with a gigantic tree of weapons. The tree is identical for all figures and comes with single colored version of fightin gear weapons, random swords, Shredder's staff, and weapons from the Foot Elite. I'm sure I missed a few. It was a really cool concept and I'd like to see them include a tree like this with every vehicle.

You found the Leo vs. T-Rex thing? What exactly IS it anyways? Just Battle Armor Leo w/ a T-Rex toy? Does the T-Rex do anything, like biting jaw action or something? :-?

Lol no action here my friend...just a big hunk of bluish-tinted plastic and fighting gear Leo

Despite this dull description, I bought the thing

I spotted Leo vs T-Rex at Target the other day... that is the DUMBEST thing I've EVER seen. -_-. Come on Playmates, you KNOW these are just gonna sit on store shelves and gather dust.

Wait, so the jaw doesn't even MOVE? That bites (no pun intended), what kinda t-rex toy doesn't even at least have a moveable jaw? :-? Is it even able to move at all? Like, does it have any articulation?

Since it seems to be a purely Playmates inspired toy (i.e.: wasn't on the cartoon show & made into a toy & was just created from the minds of them wacky Playmates employees), I figure maybe this means they'll go back to making more of their own home-brewed stuff. I always did like all the cool characters & things back in the old toyline, kinda stinks that their first foray into this field again are with this weird t-rex.

I only assume it's not from the cartoon though, cause if it was, wouldn't it be sculpted in the same detail as all the other cartoon-based toys? :-?

I dunno, kids like dinosaurs & the ninja turtles- maybe it'll work? Hey, if the T-rex is at least articulated to some small extent then it's not too bad. If the the t-rex is just like one of those dime-store rubber dinosaurs that can't move then I'll pass. Might as well buy one of those dinosaurs & that battle armor leo & save myself like 10 bucks. :D

That's right, the jaw definitely does not movie, the only articulation in this figure is in its arms and legs, pretty stinky figure if you ask me, but it looks cool in its box! :D

Sorry for the double post, but I forgot to add what it said on the back of the box. I haven't been able to keep up with the show so I don't know what's going on in there, but this is what it says:

Flung back in time by a powerful Foot Mystic, Leonardo finds himself all alone and face-to-face with a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex - a hungry one! It's the bout of the century (a 100 million B.C. century!) - mutant reptile versus monster reptile, razor-honed steel versus razor-sharp teeth, martial arts versus snapping jaws - as Leonardo musters all of his ninja skill to keep from winding up as tyrannosaur road kill! It's T.M.N.T. (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle) versus T.M.N.T. (Towering Massive Nasty Therapod) in a battle beyond space and time!

Right Playmates....

Dude, that's not cool. What good is a t-rex toy that can't chomp on stuff? That's like making a scuba guy not able to go in water or something. Well at least it can move a bit, knowing what I know if it now I might pass on it when I see it.

 Ah Playmates & their sillyness. Hey, if it had an articulated jaw I'd be all over the thing, bad enough they made Leatherhead without a moveable jaw.

I ask you, what kind of aligator man toy can't bite stuff?? Mattel's Killer Croc can do it & so can Stone Biter. Maybe Playmates didn't want to over-do the whole "jaw chomping action" bit? :-? If that's true, then they wouldn't have to make it an action feature, just having leatherhead's jaw be moveable would have sufficed.

I remember in the vintage line how Leatherhead's jaw could chomp...that was great. I have him sitting on my desk right here in fact, he's a great figure.

Oh yeah, I think there has been talk on the boards on how the whole Leo vs. T-Rex shebang is a scene in the upcoming episodes? I'm not sure about this though.

Yeah, it's an awesome figure & not even very complex mechanically either. As far as I know, as I have my LH figure upstairs on my dresser, his jaw just moves up & down- no spring-loaded gimic or anything used.

Really? If it is, then it proves Playmates can make TMNT toys that aren't sculpted in the animation style. Sure that T-Rex sounds kinda sucky (no moveable jaw... :flaming: ), but it's one of the first TMNT toys that aren't 100% like the animation in design. Maybe this is the first in a begining of cooler detailed figures like in the old line? :-?

Hold on, I once had this figure, and to my knowledge pulling on arm down made his latex coated head open.

You once had this figure? It was just released. :-?

Oh & the picture wouldn't load for some reason. :-?
