Playmates HORRIBLE Paint job!
 

I got some of the new figures and my Tricriatron Warrior has silver paint on the top of his head! His horns are painted sliver and then theres some extra paint leaked onto his head! Theres some excess paint on my other figures as well! What is this crap playmates is pulling? I pay good damn money for these and I get a crappy paint job! They look hand paints almost! Anyone else had this problem?

My battle bike figures are painted pretty badly. Leonardo has brown paint splashed over his white top, I tried to cover it with tipex but it just doesn't work :( Mikey has orange paint splashed onto his palm. They're the only ones I've been disappointed with so far.

On a side note, I even had to bring Battle Bike Raph back and get a new one, his head mould was all messed up and the top part of his head(from the bandana up) was sitting too high on his head, so it looked like he had a gap on his head. I hope the fact that these figures where kind of hidden to the side in the box(on the Irish ones anyway, I know the American ones are diffrent) didn't make Playmates decide they could make them as sloppy as they wished because they knew people wouldn't see 'till they got them home and opened them :cry:

My Guardian Ninja has black paint on part of his face and on his medallion.

Paint slops are pretty common with this line. When I say "slops," I mean extra paint that has fallen from where it is supposed to be, not just a sloppy paint job.

Most lines, I'm happy just to grab a new figure without really studying it. Not with TMNT...I've had to go through 4-5 figs in some instances to find a decent job. The faces seem to suffer the most, especially with extra white from the eyes getting on the head bands and such. I finally found my Utrom this past weekend, but his paint job was so poor, he instantly became custom material.


On a related note, sometime this week, I'll be posting a new custom figure. I've been doing customs off-and-on for about 8 years, and this is by far my favorite I've done, from any toy line. :)

on my fugitiod. the green on the eyes is slightly off center. it sort of looks like the green paint doesnt line up with actaul mold.

I haven't really had this problem yet luckily

truthfully, I got lucky. I went in one morning t omy local target, and found the guardian ninja, and my mom found the fugitiod about 40 miles away when she went to visit a friend. i havent seen the utrom or anything.

I just need Claw Shredder and that bad guy Turtle Titan fights and I have them all that are on the back of the card

my shredder and mike have half assed paint jobs.

I have found from my experiences that the figures with the black stamps on their feet seem to have really poor quality control whilst the white stamped figures seem OK.

My worst example of a black stamped figure is my Space Hopping Mike who is in the packet still and appears to have what looks like dried up snot splattered across his torso. He also has bits of silver paint splashed here and there.

I was just looking at the paint ap on my Turtlebot and it's horrible....easily the worst out of any of my figs.

I was thinking maybe if we all emailed Playmates about the problem they might fix it but what has emailing them ever gotten us?

Ive never had a problem with this...all you have to do is examine it before you buy it. I guess I've just been lucky.
