Is Rhinoman Rocksteady?

I have the Rhinoman figure from '93 and I wanna confirm that Rhinoman is actually Rocksteady.I've heard otherwise that he wasn't but I dunno. He looks similar to Rhinoman though.I just get so confused.:-? Did the Rhinoman action figure have the same weapons as the one on the cartoon?I know that Rocksteady's anti-hero costume looks different than the action figure's costume. Was Rhinoman's sidekick on the show named Nutty the Squirrely Sidekick? :goofygri: Please help me out. :o

Yeah Rinoman is Rocksteady. There was a contest where the best super hero team would win a special prize. Bebop and Rocksteady dressed up like good guys and fought some crime to win. They won and Shredder tried to steal the prize before the turtles could get it away from him. I forgot why they needed the prize though

I think so.It says on ninjaturtles.com that "Don't worry though, our masters of Mutant power, Super Mike and Super Don, are onto Rhinoman - and they're gonna get 'im good!" One of the enemies of the teenage mutant ninja turtles are Rocksteady and bebop. And since bebop has a superhero disquise, so does Rocksteady. Therefore, Rocksteady must be Rhinoman.

But how did Rocksteady become Rhinoman?Like what's his origin?Did Krang :kgrin: or Shredder :shredder: have anything to do with it?Did TCRI's ooze mutate him? :?: I'm just confused. :-?

Dude

In the original toon Rockstaedy was a street punk who worked for shredder so was Bebop. Shredder mutated them into the rhino/human and hog/human. Now Rocksteady and Bebop just dressed up in superhero costumes to win the Diamond.

I don't believe he had any real super powers beyond his mutant strength. So basicly, to become Rhinoman he made a costume and put it on.

I remember that episode. I loved it. They ought to have dressed up like Rhinoman and Mighty Hog more often.

It's funny though, cause the sculpt on Rhinoman & Rocksteady are very different. I mean, compare the pictures & see what I mean:

Rhinoman
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1993/rhinoman.jpg

Rocksteady
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1988/rocksteady.jpg

Rhinoman's head isa different shape, more narrow & the eyes are a different color too. Another thing that's weird, is Rhinoman's legs are reeeeally short compared to Rocksteady's. I always pretended that my Rhinoman figure was some Rhino-Man from a parralell universe. Like, from the place with mutant animals everywhere & Rhinoman just happens to be a mutant rhino with super-powers...and a mutant squirrel side-kick named "Nutty". Why'd I pretend this way? Because Playmates never made enough Foot-aligned secondary characters that's why, . I remember buying Halfcourt the giraffe & useing him as a bag guys cause I had too many good-guy characters runnin' around.

Oh, another Rocksteady-variant figure that could pass for someone else.

Gatekeeper Rocksteady
http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/1994/wfsrock.jpg

I own the toy & comparing him next to the original Rocksteady...if you think about it, there's no way they're the same person. I mean, for one, their horns are shaped completely different. Two, Gatekeeper Rocksteady has 3 fingers & a thumb on each hand...Rocksteady has 4 fingers & a thumb on each hand. Third, Gatekeeper Rocksteady has large 3-toed rhino feet (hooves? :-?) that could no way fit inside the normal Rocksteady's boots.

After seeing all these changes (& needing more secondary foot guys) I made Gatekeeper Rocksteady into Gatecrasher:"The Gate-Crashing Crazed Rhino!". :D

Hey,getting back to Rhinoman, has anyone ever tried painting his side-kick Nutty? Mine's made of transparent purple plastic & it would be cool to see painted as it might bring out some detail or something.

The weapons that came with my Rhinoman figure were yellow so that way it showed Nutty's and the weapons details.

Rhino-man was rocksteady. I saw the episode, but not for many many many years. Rhino-man was in the episode from 1990 CBS eps the adventures of Rhino-man and mighty warthog.
