TMNT Old toon review:ALL 10 SEASONS!

That's right! I'm going to review all the 10 seasons from the old TMNT toon.

SEASON ONE:1987

10/10 EXCELLENT

This season was the best season of the old TMNT toon! I loved all the episodes! My fav: Turtle Tracks! It's full of action, and the turtles introduce themselves to us!
Enter the Shredder was great too! The first time the turtles enter in the Technodrome and try to rescue Splinter. AND THEY MEET SHREDDER!
A thing about rats, Hot teens from dimension X and Shredded and Splintered were awesome too!

SEASON TWO:1988

9/10 VERY GOOD

There was a lot of action and comedy too! The four episodes of the eye of sarnoth were awesome!
And the case of the killer pizzas was pretty good too!
But the best one was the return of the Technodrome! Many people taught that this would be the end of Krang and Shredder. But it was not.

SEASON THREE:1989

9/10 VERY GOOD

I didn't like much the three first episodes( attack of the 50 foot Irma, The maltese hamster, Turtles on trial) I know that Beneath these streets was the first one! AND THAT TOTALLY ROCKED!
I liked the first appearence of the Rat King. And I liked the Sky turtles episode.
And the last three episodes(The Big rip off, The big break-in and the big blow out) they were the best!
OMG! I FORGOT PIZZA BY THE SHRED! AND CASEY JONES, AND CORPORATE RAIDERS FROM DIMENSION X! :goofygri: :P :D
I didn't care much for the frogs and Leatherhead.

SEASON FOUR:1990

8/10 GOOD

I LOVED PLAN 6 FROM OUTER SPACE! BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE THE BASEMENT WAS!
Raphael drives 'em wild was cool too!
And the rest of the season was good also.

SEASON FIVE:1991

7/10 COOL

It wasn't as good as the others, but it had some cool episodes like:
My Brother, the Bad Guy
Don's Duplicate
Raph VS the Volcano
Pirate Radio
Mike, The sacred Turtle
Planet of the turtleloids

SEASON SIX:1992

6/10 OK

Unfortunately this was one of the weekest seasons of the show :(
Only:
Krangnstein Lives!
Snakes Alive!
Leo's Missing
Phanthom of the sewers
Mr. Nice Guy
Were better
Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady and Bebop didn't appear very much.

SEASON SEVEN:1993

9/10 VERY GOOD

FINALLY! THE TURTLES WERE BACK IN ACTION AGAIN!
THE TRIP TO EUROPE WAS AWESOME! AND THE REST WAS TOO!
But, I don't know why, the turtles were starting to lose popularity... :(
I don't know why. I didn't watch the 3rd movie, but most people who watched, didn't like it.

SEASON EIGHT: 1994

7/10 COOL

The beggining of the red sky episodes. I liked. It only had 8 episodes, but it could be worse.
I only din't like very much the episode state of shock.
The best was:
TURTLE TREK!

SEASON NINE: 1995

5/10 NOT BAD, BUT IT COULD BE MUCH BETTER!

I Didn't like Dregg, or Carter, or the new mutations. I was always asking myself: When is Dregg going to die??? Not even Shredder appeared! HE WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED!
The problem is, everybody was used to Shredder. It would be the same thing if we were used to dregg during 8 years, and then appeared shredder.

SEASON 10: 1996

6/10 OK

I liked the 3 episodes with Krang and Shredder, but no Bebop or Rocksteady. And Leo's mutation was unessassary(Sorry if I din't spell it correctly).
The shouldn't have ended like this! They shoul've killed Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady and Bebop in the last episode!
I know The Next Mutation it's a continue, but TNM WAS AWFUL!(No offence for the fans)

This was my review! I hope you enjoyed it! Why don't you try to review the old show too?
I remember everything, because I recorded on tape!

WEll I loved season 1 but I had seen the eps many times and it was good in covering the basics of the series.

SEason 2 was good, but it was dull in the first half without bebop and rocksteady but still good. Return of the technodrome was my most fav ep and I TOO AGREE THAT THE TECHNODROME SINKINg MADE people think it was the end of shredder and krang, I agree since there was no way to survive.

Season 3 was the BEST with bebop and rocksteady's humor, I loved the Big Break in, boldini, rat king etc. THERE ARE JUST TOO MANY GOOD EPS TO NAME.

SEasons 4 and 5 weren't bad.

I stoped watching it after season 5, so I can't comment. Season 9 without Shredder would have to be the worst, if i saw that season I would have been bored. NOTE THE NEXT MUTATION WAS NOT a CONTINUATION. I never saw the last ep, but heard about it, but agree that it should have had shredder and krang.

Who the hell said it was a "continue?" it was "supposedly" connected to the movies if you beleive several B.S reports...

Deathknight 09-09-2004 06:50 PM

I always preferred season 2 over season 1.

Jet-ski_Ninja 09-10-2004 07:14 AM

Sorry if I got wrong about TNM. :goofygri:

dude.....that was very uncalled for.....so he made a mistake big deal.....and there are plenty of thing to make it a continuation to the movie but also some that blow that theory outta the water (can u say a de-mutated shredder anyone??) no need to be so mean man....it was an honest mistake.....

MC 09-11-2004 10:30 AM

I remember the first time I saw The Next Mutation I thought it was a continuation of the cartoon, although I know now it definitely isn't. I do think it's connected to the movies, although I don't think it matters too much. Kids tend not to care about continuity glitches like the Shredder still being alive even if adult fans do!

Ra 09-11-2004 04:37 PM

i unfortunatly was to young to remember the old cartoon...but i can remember the TNM. being a very simple minded kid at the time, i can't really remember it and from what i can remember, it was alright. Stupid memory :x

I almost think that the next mutation was in its own universe and not connect to the movies, Shredder was shown dead in the end of ninja turtles 2 when his hand layed lifeless when it rose out of the bridge, he did not have super shredder armor, no tatsu and no casey or april. But shredder in ep 2 did mention about how he sliced of splinter's ear and splinter near the end of the series splinter told shredder (at the time a begger on the street) that he stole yoshi's life.

Jet-ski_Ninja 09-14-2004 05:29 AM

And the last 3 seasons, weren't comical. And the turtles stoped eating pizza! WHY?! :x

I heard the red sky eps was to make the series have a darker tone, possibly to bring more viewers in. The only red sky eps I saw were the bonus eps on the dvd and they were not as humorous and there was no pizza.

JDavis 09-14-2004 06:38 PM

The red sky seasons were an attempt to recapture the audience (many of whoms focus had shifted to the new Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) with a more action and story oriented show.

Jet-ski_Ninja 09-15-2004 06:46 AM

Well, it didn't work! Dregg ruined everything! :x

moonfog 09-15-2004 07:00 AM

i like the music when the turtles first fight human rocksteady and bebop and gang (one of the coolest intros)... yeh... cool reviews

They could have had Dregg and shredder in every other episode. I have read the reviews for all the eps in red sky and shredder was in 4 eps of season 8, none in season 9 and 3 in season 10.

I guess season 9 was a whole new beginning for the show. what was up with the whole mutation thing.

moonfog 09-15-2004 07:28 AM

yeh i know, and they had some indian kid running around with them who could turn into some powerful mutant thingy... that was dumb... the intro song sucked real bad too

the indian kid was carter. I know this because I saw him on the bonus eps on the dvd. I kind of liked the new intro song. I always see sites complaining about having dregg replace shredder. I do understand because I, like everyone else, liked having him, knew him as the main nemesis and was used to him. I would have felt the same way everyone else did if I ever saw season 9, which would have been a pain to watch. what was up with April being a freelance reporter. April was freelance in the season 10 bonus episodes.

Channel Six had been destroyed, and clearly April had pretty much got sick of working for Burne with his hatred for the TMNT

MC 09-16-2004 05:14 PM

I think you mean Burne, not Vernon. Vernon wasn't in charge of Channel 6, Burne Thompson was.
