Turtles Letters

Just wondering, am I the only 22 year old who actually emails the turtles on the official site?

...............Yes.

Nah, just kidding.....I'm 16 and I've never done it, so who knows.

Zachatello00 09-11-2004 11:50 AM

lol

KROW 09-11-2004 11:58 AM

Well, I'm 24 and I e-mailed them.

Once.

rayfillet101 09-11-2004 12:05 PM

I did that before, not expecting them to really answer. I thought I would just get a hey this is Mieky, thanks for writing! But I got a real answer, so I have to put more thought into it next time! :)

That Matt Guy 09-11-2004 12:20 PM

I emailed them and asked which type of wax paper is their favourite.

Jet-ski_Ninja 09-11-2004 12:39 PM

Nope. I have never e-mailed them.

Kazari 09-11-2004 12:49 PM

I am 22 and yes I have emailed them but that was like 2 years ago does that count? LOL

Machias Banshee 09-11-2004 01:08 PM

 I emailed them all once, I was like, 17... :goofygri:

Orochi Chimera 09-11-2004 01:58 PM

It's a scam. It's not really the turtles!(yes I'm joking)

What do you email them questions and they(Dan I guess) email you back or do they send everyone the same response?

Zachatello00 09-11-2004 03:03 PM

It depends on how much mail they receive. If there is a ton of mail, they make up a general response and send it out, as if it were written by that turtle, including even an apology from that turtle for not making the letter personal.
If there aren't many who have emailed them, I guess it's Dan that emails you back as if he was the turtle you wrote with a personal response. It's for kids, but I love to do it. Glad I"m not the only one

Midnight_Tanuki 09-11-2004 08:32 PM

I emailed mikey once, according to him:

He finds it kinda weird to play with a Playmates action figure of yourself
He got his speech patterns from the TV
Splinter apparently knew english as well as japanese and taught it to them
He doesn't have a favorite pizza topping, anything goes

Zachatello00 09-11-2004 09:42 PM

that is seriously awesome!

Doppleganger 09-11-2004 10:11 PM

I did a few months ago. I asked them about their varying relationships they had. i.e. Raph and Tyler, Mikey and Leatherhead, Leonardo and Karai, and Donatello and Sydney (Quarry). For the implied romantic ones he gave an email saying they don't answer questions about romance. For the friendships Raph/Tyler, Mikey/Leatherhead and Zog I asked them about what they thought of them. Raph said he hadn't heard from Tyler in months. And Mikey said it sucks that his friends have died. :(

Looooooong ago when the site was rather new ('96-'97ish) I'd email the Turtles. But then I got real replies from Dan, so now I only email if I actually have something to ask Dan. :)

Ah, I was wondering why this was under the TMNT letters now...

PLEASE NOTE: The TMNT mail is meant for entertainment purposes only. Due to the high volume of mail that we receive, we're forced to be brief in our responses. The TMNT do not discuss religion, politics or relationships because our fan base spreads across the globe and covers all belief systems, thus we do not wish to alienate any Turtles enthusiasts by taking a stand on these potentially volatile topics. Plus, the TMNT are fictional characters and do not have opinions on these matters and volatile topics aren't entertaining anyway. :)

I'm 32

no man, i emailed "raph" as asked him his favorite cereal...he says peanut butter crunch

I think it's cool, even tho short answers that they take the time for US to even bother with this kind of dribble. I bet they get some of the weirdest questions.
As far as I know, all of the answers are not some form letter type thing. I believe Dan's back there, ticking it out one at a time..well, mostly anyways.

MC 09-12-2004 06:16 PM

I sent an e-mail once, and got a kind of generic response, saying something like "Hi it's Mikey! Thanks for writing!". I didn't send any more after that.

I got an e-mail from Dan once, I asked him a few questions. It was kind of cool but I won't be e-mailing him again. I'm sure he has enough to be doing without me asking him more questions.

Zelda 09-12-2004 08:15 PM

I've been plotting to email Mikey but... ^_^; I haven't been able to think of something good enough.

Zachatello00 09-12-2004 08:29 PM

I'm sayin' though, how cool would it be to answer emails as the Ninja Turtles and get paid for it.
