Just finished it up--- thought I'd share.

That looks really cool! I can't wait to read the story that goes along with it... seems like it'll be really interesting.

This looks SWEET! I'm definitely getting THIS issue when it comes out! "Tales" #13, huh? Cool.

I only have one caveat/gripe on this one: except for the youngest-looking of the four Leos (geez, that sounds strange!), who has a fairly NORMAL-looking, rounded head, the other three look like they have BLOCK-heads. Literally! Don't know if I like that look. Oh, well, it's all good, I guess................

well I hope it grows on you, it's my new style direction on the guys.

Hey, it IS kinda nice to "talk" to an actual TMNT artist. I really wish I could meet Pete or Kev, though. LOL But my chance of THAT rate right up there with the chances of a snowball you-know-where........

Although I WAS lucky enough to meet my NASCAR racing idol, "King" Richard Petty, a couple of years back. AND I met my fave Duke, John Schneider (Bo Duke) back in 1987 or so, so anything's possible, I guess.

I just made a deal with my comicbook dealer, I will be getting the tales of series. This cover made me very happy about that decision :)

I've said before I didn't like that style for the turtles or Splinter, everyone else looks awesome though. I'm sure the story will be cool though, I'll still get the issue alright

But I've said nothing productive so just pay no attention to me. It's not like I could do better :goofygri:

Well, some folks really love the new direction and some are so-so to it. If you don't try out new stuff you'll never potentially help move something forward, so I'm giving it a whirl. I really did kill myself on issues 13 and 14 so far and I hope they don't disappoint.

I definately agree..if you dont try new things, things can get a bit old and stale...while for me, intially the radical change did throw me off a bit, I like seeing the turtles in a different light..i think it will make the storytelling all that more unique and interesting...keep it up, cuz every time i look at that art, i like it more and more!! I can't wait for this comic, and the others you're working on, to come out... :D

It's a little different but I like it. Rock on. I can't wait til it goes monthly!

raises a few questions in my mind, such as why his skin is different colors (age?), if he can defy gravity (maybe a tilted angle?), and where exactly he/they are.... Africa is my guess.

the new look is cool, nice to see you putting a singature style on your work (i try do practice that as well). Did you do the art from start to finish or did someone help with inks or colors? Sky looks beautiful!

I'm guessing "where are they?" is more of a "what dimension are they in?", since this storyline probably has something to do with that baboon guy from Tales #4.


But I like that cover. The blocky look for the heads is definitely different, not bad, just different. Tales hasn't disappointed yet. Vol. 4 might be moving a little too slow, but Tales makes up for that and then some. It's going be great once it starts being monthly next year.


Is this the first time since Vol. 1 #8 that we've seen any of the Turtles at the age when they wore the full head masks?

or maybe what dimension are they NOT in, looking at all those Leos. ;)

You're right it was #9. I don't have that issue, so I was just going by memory from what I've read on the official site... guess I probably should've checked to make sure I had the right one.

But yeah, this looks like an interesting issue. Four different Leos... I wonder if we'll get to see the other Turtles at various ages in this one, or if all the Leos will just get summoned without showing us any of the various times they come from.

Did anyone else notice the sword that the Leo without the mask is holding? Looks kind of strange...But we'll have to wait to find out!

yeah, it looks kinda high-tech, but since that's the oldest leo in the picture that could make sense

That cover looks awesome, I really enjoyed your art in Tales 3 and 4 btw... As Splinter said in the first episode of the new show "change is good," it may take a little getting used to but it's almost like a little bit more of a new style judging by the cover, but you can still see a lot of the traits the other two books.

I keep looking back at that pic; looks good and thanks for the sneak peak.
