Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas???
What???? what is this stuff??? ok i was in the kitchen looking at the box of cherios on the counter and it had a free dvd....sweet!!!!! it had an episode of the Super Mario cartoon on it....sweeter!!!! and the episode is a parody of the TMNT....buhuh???? yep we see the koopa as ninja...4 of the koopa kids....who happen to be turtles.....and each have a TMNT weapon....one with chucks one with a staff and one with a sword.....i didn't see a sai...and the weapons changed hands at one point...but oh well....i haven't finnished the ep....but there was one quote that was a blatent parody...."i love being a koopa!!!" a straight on parody of the "i love being a turtle" quote from the TMNT movies. and maybe a nod to the old school toons color mistakes....or maybe just a collor goof on their part....luigi was colored as mario....and mario and the princes parrot were called....well....some stupid adjectives ninja Mario/parrot.....kinda sad....if u ask me.... thoughts???

Whoa, man, sounds awesome..you said you got it in a box of Cheerios? Hmm...I work at a Grcery Store, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for it. I need to see it.
|
I wanna check that out too! Which cereal box was that in?
|
Lol, gotta love that old choppy Mario cartoon.
BTW, in case you didn't know, that wouldn't be Nintendo's last parody of the TMNT for Mario. They also have a boss group in Paper Mario called the Koopa Brothers. Their colors are Red, Black, Yellow, and Green, so that's a little different, but otherwise they're a pretty dead give-away to the TMNT. (In Super Mario RPG, they repeated this sort of rip-off boss with the "Axem Rangers".) I always found it amusing that there was a Mario enemy named Mouser and Baxter's little robots being Mousers. |
hey I got that DVD with Chex. Heathcliff rocks!

I almost bought that the other day, but I went with my normal cereal instead. Now I think I might go ahead and get it anyway - not only for the Mario & Heathcliff cartoons, but with the spoofing of the Turtles, I can add it to my collection!

I sometimes dream with crossovers of Star Fox, Zelda and TMNT! :P
|
Yep, they released those DVDs a few months ago and you can get them in most General Mills cereals.
As for the Sneaky Lying Cheating Giant Ninja Koopas.... well, they ARE technically turtles, aren't they? Lemme see if I can remember it at all... it's been awhile since I've seen that episode. Cheatsy had nunchukus, Bigmouth had the bo staff and I think Bully also had a bo staff. I guess Daddy Koopa didn't want them carrying around pointy objects to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom. Ah, the memories... |

Ive got work in a couple hours, so I'll check when I get there befoe I do anything else!

I think it was post cereals, and there's like a bunch of dvds you can choose from, all dic cartoons. Heathcliff mario is one and then there's an inspector gadget and the rest just suck.
Actually when they do spoofs like that it isn't meant as a nod to them it's usually their way of making fun because tmnt was doing better than they were and pretty much crushing the competition. A huge example is the ghostbusters cartoon "Real Ghostbusters 125 Mean Green Teen Machine" Where there's 3 turtle-like ghosts and they all have surfer accents. If you want ot watch it go here: http://archive.ghostbusters.net/episodedetail/rgh/125/ You can watch it (if you have real player) or if you don't feel like watching it check out the ghosthead's reactions to the tmnt, they bash it a lot. Guess they're still pissed that TMNT pretty much killed the ghostbutsers franchise. |
Sweeet I forgot that episode I wish they make real Ghostbusters on DVD.Hey the biggest (turtle?) sounds kinda like Leo with more of a accent.

A crossover with the koopa army and the TMNT. hmmm....that would be an interesting fan fic.
