Since we have a thread dedicated to Nintendo, I thought we could have one dedicated to the newest contender in the console wars, Microsoft's Xbox. There are tons of great games coming out for it this year, so this thread is for discussioon of thse games, and games already out, like Halo! :D

Mercenaries is a pretty cool game. There are alot of faults in it, but it's still a long game and pretty fun to destroy anything in the way. And I am waiting for Rainbow Six: Lockout on March 15th. And of course Halo 2 will always be one of my favourites. Also WrestleMania 21 will be intense as well!

For anyone who ever got messed with by standby'ers in Halo 2, this video will be somewhat satisfying. Know that these guys are screwed! :D

Thats awesome... I've never actually played anybody whose cheated... guess I'm lucky... but that was pretty funny... Halo 2 for me has been my first and best online game played... anybody have recommendations of other online games to play??

I have been getting into Xbox since my Dad bought one. I got him KOTOR but he hasnt playe dit yet. He wants me to beat it first and tell him how it is or something. Anyways I really like that game. Fable is pretty fun too. I havnt really tried anyother games but so far I like the rpgs and I like the Oddworld game

Isn't there supposed to be a new oddworld coming out?

Edit my xbox live name is Knights Duke but i'm hardly ever on, it's been over a month. I tend to get on and play when a game first comes but that is about the extent of it. I guess i just prefer online gaming on the pc although xbox live is extremely well done.

The new Oddworld game is Stranger, which is a 1st person/3rd person Action/Shooter. I played my friends copy, and it definately has some merit. "Live" Ammo is not only cool, but so original I can't believe no one ever thought of it before. BTW Spitfire, KOTOR is amazing, you should also try Morrowind if MASSIVLY open ended RPG gameplay is your style. Perhaps we should make a list of must play Xbox games for Xbox newbies?

I recently got Stranger's Wrath and KOTOR 2 imported, and I think Stranger's Wrath is a really excellent game. I was very surprised considering how poor (at least in my opinion) the previous Oddworld games were. However, my reaction to KOTOR 2 was quite the opposite. Having played through KOTOR thinking that it's an amazing game, I was quite disappointed with KOTOR 2. Did anyone else find KOTOR 2 disappointing?

Perhaps this is just because of how KOTOR was so original, so it had a kind of shock value.

I second that... and yeah I quite enjoyed Strangers Wrath aswell... very original game.... Haven't got to play KOTOR 2... but yeah I've heard its dissapointing.... I liked the first one though... which is weird cause I'm not much of an rpg guy... Oh yeah... Peanut you forgot Ninja Gaiden and Chronicles of Riddick... both are very good... very hard, but very good...

The messing around on a couple maps was pretty cool tonight, but the matchmade games were TERRIBLE. Just no fun at all. Maybe it's because we were all a little more moody than usual. Don't think we're assholes, idiots, and terrible players like that EVERY night Mondo.

Yeah definately, it was an overall bad night for us.

don't worry about it... I had fun... we got are butts kicked in the matchmaking, but I guess thats cause I don't know your guys' styles very well... I'm use to always having a sniper... whatever, it was fun while it lasted... we definatley need to get a big custom game going with a bunch of people from the T-Drome here... that would be super fun...

The problem is our friend Ringo. He always has to have either a sniper or a rocket, something like that. We don't play with him all that often though, if you ever get the chance, Ai, myself, and JameO are the real team to play with. You'd have the sniper whenever you pleased, we rarely use it.

And a friend of ours online, DarthAce01. Just don't get in the Warthog with him.
