Female villains?
 

I was thinking about the toon and villains, and I started thinking how there were no female villains, at least as far as I can remember. This is referring to the original toon, not the new one since I know we've seen a few and have Karai. So, correct me if I’m wrong, but if true, I wonder why? It would have been cool if they did. We had female good guys…April, Irma, Mona Lisa, etc, but no bad girls appear in the show or action figures.

Well you could count Lotus Blossom as a villian in her first appearence remember?

There was Tempestra.

And for an instince when April turned into the Catwomen from Channel 6.

Thanks. Can't remember any of them off the top of my head, but I do rem April turning into the cat. Too bad there were no figs, like Tempestra or even just made up characters. Just for something different to add into the mix.

oh and don't forget MADUSSA from the lord dregg red sky episodes.

There's also that Ma Parker wannabe from 'Donatello's Badd Time'. I think that kinda rounds it up with Lotus, Tempestra and Medusa.

That was her name Shreeka I remember her she was suppose to be Krang's partner in Dimension X right?

Let's not forget that the show started in the mid '80s, when 90% of all cartoons were not politically correct except for the PSA's at the end of the episodes.
If I remember correctly, the Garfield cartoon had only two main female characters (Liz and Lanolin), and about 15 male characters. It's just the way things were done in that decade. Don't ask me why.

Shredder's mom was a villain in one episode.
