New Ep Discussion: "Across the Universe"
 

(I know, this is kinda early... I wanted to get this done so I could put some focus on other stuff next week.. :P )

While the episodes are connected, they do deserve their own threads. And as always, I am more than happy to provide some torture for the week(s) to come...

We have seen the terror and absurdity that Mike has endured in his struggles to get back home. Now we turn our focus onto the next Brother.


Raphael... oh boy... you kow this is gonna be interesting.

Can you imagine how Raphael will react to being stuck on this random planet, no brothers around to back him up? He could be nearly as bad as Mike.. he may be a 'secret weapon', but how can a weapon work without its gunners to keep it focused and on target? Well...

He's just been blasted out of his galaxy and lands in a world where speed and agility are critical. How fitting for Raphael, especially after the loss of his bike in a previous episode. Hey, maybe he'll get to keep one of the bikes he's using... :evilgrin:

Tho I have to wonder... is this racing a life-or-death situation? what if he's racing to get to a ship thats leaving for elsewhere? Maybe someone's trying to kill him... or maybe theyre a bounty hunter, looking for interesting fauna?

Who knows! Heck, maybe he'll meet up with Mike somehow...we just dont know!

Man, I'm still stunned by that preview...

I really like how they rewind in the beginning to show what each turtle was doing. The preview for Don's was too creepy! Very dark like Image. The mech warrior that Don builds looks too much like that mechs that they used in Matrix Revolutions.

This episode was pretty cool. I wanna ride on the big bike! Hehe. I can't wait for next week though. Very..um...dark. And it looks like a lot of it is from the comics. Or at least Raph with the eye patch. ;)

This week's episode was alright but the preview for next's week's looks GODLY!!! Don is in an alternate reality where the Shredder has conquered Earth. I can't wait to see that one!!!

the funniest thing on today's ep was where Raphael was starting to sound like Leonardo. And wow does next week ep look good. COWABUNGA!!

yes it does, I want to see next weeks ep so badly. Today's ep was ok. Not to much action, just a lot of racing.

This episode was ok, better then last weeks but not by much next weeks episode however looks great.

I agree once again. Today's ep was a funny ep at times. I bet Karari is happy for todays ep because of her favorite bad guy.

The episode was alright, but not as good as Mikey's IMO. I'm definitely looking forwards to Don's next week.

This week's episode wasnt too bad. nothing awe-inspiring, but still an ok story. I know Alison's first reaction from this ep would be "Kitty Girl!!" :lol:

But yeah, seeing Raph's reaction to not being the others was very good. I just have to wonder where he and Mike ended up when they disappeared again...

I really liked those bikes! Definitely stuff from Laird's "Planet Racers" stories. Too bad Raph didnt get to keep a bike.


As for next week's preview....

The first thing I thought was "T-3 Rise of the Machines!" But then the more I saw, the more I thought Future Turtles from the Archies, and some somewhat Image things. Laird's been asked a few times if its from the Image comics, and he's adamantly saying no. This should be REALLY good. Poor Splinter's probably already dead, or on his deathbed. They all looked like they had one foot in the grave...

Kazari, you'd better put up a LOT of preview pics!!!! :D

LOL You're getting better with my name! ^_^ Yes I DO love these episodes....I get to see UN over and over again *giggles* Just need to get him away from Drako.

Yay or Karari!!!!!! Todays ep I was looking forward to, because I thought it was going to be the best. But next weeks is. Go TMNT!!

Being the rabid Raphie-fan that I am, as far as I'M concerned, this ep totally owned!!! LOVED it! I especially loved him on that huge, honkin' bike! :lol: And he DID sound like Leo there at the end, with the "Winning without honor is NOT winning" thing. I'm proud of ya, bro. Sounds like Leo's starting to rub off a bit.

I also noticed that Raph's phasing in and out nearly had fatal consequences for him AND Falcon a couple of times. They also lasted longer. I just wonder where HE got sent at the end of this? I have the feeling that the guys will be reunited somehow at the end of this ep-arc, although I have no idea as to what will happen then.

I also loved next week's preview! Future Turtles, looking YEARS older, and Raph missing an eye? Leo with shades and maybe blind, or something?! Yikes!!! Wonder where THEIR bros are, and what is poor Donnie about to get dropped in the middle of?! (Well, I know what he's getting dropped into, but I don't know WHAT he's getting dropped into, IF you catch my drift!)

(And yes, I know I've edited and added to this, but my mom and I went to my favorite aunt's this morning before I could get what I wanted to say fully said, so I just decided to to do it here and now, now that I'm home again. If ya don't like it, sue me! Myah. :P )

And I DEFINITELY agree with Machi when she told Kazzy that we need lots of screencaps from next weeks preview! Future Raph and Leo (I THINK it's Leo; there's a katana-sheath at his back, and how many mutant Turtles do YOU know?!) look mega-cool! Kazzy, consider THAT a request from me! Any and all of those two that you can give me!!! Ditto for the FULL ep next week! Either from the 4KidsTV OR CN eps!!!

I really enjoy the fact that Turtles is used to get some other mirage projects out, like Fugitoid and the Planet racers now. Pretty cool IMO, but the episode was like, eh, ok. I'm glad I saw a new episode of Turtles. Not my favorite, but a good one for sure. I love how everyone so far has commented on next weeks episode, which yes, I too am ferociously amped about. In 20 seconds I saw a lot of Archie like elements, inlcuding of course the future turtles, but does anyone remember when Krang took over shredder's body? I wonder if that is the card they are trying to play with having the Saki Utrom as his head now instead of in his hidden stomach cavity.

you don't know me then. I LOVE RAPHAEL, but todays ep just was not in my best intereest like he's past eps. It was lacking action.

But knowing Laird, these will probably just be coincidences. :P Still its kinda nice to see. I heard someone say that they saw Raph wearing an eyepatch... I guess thats the preferred way of Raph to be portrayed in the future. :P

I'm Really eager to see some pics from the preview... :thyper: It looks VERY intriguing..

lol. Yup, he is wearing an eye patch. next weeks ep looks like the tmnt are going to get the shell kicked out of them.

I loved this ep! Go Raphie! The bike was cool, the kitty- lady was cool... and the pink guy looked as though he had been turned inside-out :P .

Loved Raph's lil honor quote. Loved it even more when he realized that he sounded just like Leo.

The preview is what REALLY got me, though. I didnt see Mike and Leo in it... was I just being blind? What if Shredder killed them... *sigh* another week to go through before I find out.

well, at least there is one that really likes this episode. I am a HUGE Raphael fan. I was looking for more in it. hopefully there will be another planet racers ep with just raphael, but please let it have more action.
