Those look pretty cool. The TCM look like they're done by a better artist, and the Freddy and Jason ones remind me of Mad magazine.
|
DAMN those are gruesome! I can't wait to see how Tipper Gore reacts to it.
|
The Nightmare on Elm Street covier with all those dead bodies and severed heads, I was freaked out. :o
|
i guess they r trying to scare kids before goin to bed
|
Quote:
Ahahahaha, Tipper Gore, the whore. |
The Leatherface comics better contain the whole family and not just him.
|
By the looks of it, there won't be a Chop Top.
|
The Leatherface comics are (obviously) going to be based on the remake and not the original film. So that means no Old Man, no Grandpa, no Hitchiker and (if you like the sequel) no Chop-Top.
It looks to take place before the events of the remake, too (Leatherface still has his arm) so that means we might at least get R. Lee Ermy's characters (the best part of the movie). |
How on Earth can these comics work?
|
I'm looking forward to these. They have made Nightmare comics before. I wonder what these new ones will be like, besides really gory?
|
Friday the 13th Special #1 came out today.
Spoiler:
Anyway, it's short, it's cheap, it's gorey. I recommend it. |
The Freddy and Leatherface comics came out today. More great stuff.
Freddy's issue was especially awesome, Spoiler:
And Leatherface's was pretty cool too, even if it was based off the mediocre remake. |
i have the first ones of each but dose any one know when the next issue comes out
|
Haha, the TCM cover looks amazing. I can't wait for these...
My comic shop better have them when they come out. |
Still not sure how these comics can work when the central characters died at the end of every film they were in.
|
You should try reading em, they're all out in stores now (though Friday the 13th might be sold out).
The Freddy and Jason books take place shortly after the events of Freddy vs Jason. In Jason's book he's being hunted by a SWAT team hired by the company that was going to build a hotel on the site of the old camp grounds. Jason kills them all one by one in all manner of gruesome fashions. Awesome. In Freddy's comic he's hunting down a small clic of friends to slowly build his power back up. Also good stuff. In Leatherface's comic it's sort've like a prequel. Some kids stop by the Hewitt residence, get tortured and killed. More good stuff. They're all pretty much one-shots designed to be like any other film in the franchise and, IMO, do a really good job of capturing the feel (though they went overboard with Jason's regeneration powers, but that's just about my only complaint). |
I think the Nightmare on elm street looks like the best one because it seems darker and Freddy looks so evil!!!
