Finals passed - I'm some sort of economist now!

Good morning everybody,

I thought I'd tell you all. During the next two weeks I won't be around as much. The day has finally come, I get the chance to escape that hell I got to know as school. It took me a while to get there, but now, four years have passed and this is it. The 4wa (my class) was dissassembled last week, we are individuals now.

And now, finals. Today, Computer science, then French, then English (hehehe, thanks guys), then German, then Law and Company politics, then accounting, then the oral exams.

So, this is it. And the best part is, I don't know what's to become of me once I passed the exams. Maybe an English teacher. Maybe not. But I have to go to the military (I'll do civil service and protection, for the rest I'll be deemed "unsuitable") and then I will probably go out to see the world.

Anyways, this is it. One of my last posts as a student.

See you then.

Good luck, Anarky! May fate smile upon you. :)

Jo Dawn 06-13-2005 08:13 AM

Much luck, Anarky! Don't worry, you're a smart guy, you'll do fine. :)

Nturtle 06-13-2005 08:21 AM

Good luck dude! Wash behind your ears, always look both ways before crossing the street, ummm... don't be a stranger :|

ThirdMarioBro 06-13-2005 05:38 PM

We believe in ya Anarky. Hell, your English is better than mine and most of the people on this board. You'll kick ass;)

Spitfire 06-13-2005 07:49 PM

Good luck I got them tommrow. I have English and math first. Then Digital Art on Wednsday and on Thursday I have History. We do 2 classes a day and the days are half days so we get out early too. I dont have a finial for 4th or 6th so I can leave early the last two days. Like I said good luck! And study hard if you need to. I got all easy stuff to do except math I feel lucky o_O

Anarky 06-14-2005 05:05 AM

Good luck to you Spitfire.

And this really was an odd week so far. The tests were okay, computer science was a joke aside from Word, which was way too much to handle (in terms of number of excercises) and French was a bit difficult but I think I did a fairly good job.

Tomorrow is English, so I decided to come here and train a bit (yeah... right. :D ).

Anyhow, for something totally unrelated to finals but related to "odd week" : I think someone stole my good pair of shoes. Yesterday I came home, and put them where I always put them, in the hallway in front of our flat's door. Now, this morning, my shoes were gone. The other pair, a but roughed up, was still there but the good ones (about three month old Adios) were gone. Now, I hope it was a prank from the kids downstairs, or I'll get really pissed off. I mean, who enters a house, goes up to the top floor, sees a pair of shoes, most likely tries them on and steals them without touching anything else? Insane...

Ryona 06-15-2005 01:12 AM

Whoa... That's really odd about the shoes... :|

I hope you get them back. *nods*

Glad to hear you're doing good on the tests so far, Anarky! Good luck with English (like, as if you need any luck. ;) ).

Oh and good luck to you too, Spitfire. :)

Anarky 06-15-2005 06:14 AM

Hehe, just came back form English (and TMNT-lunch with two nice girls from my class). It was a joke. We had to do the following: Read a text, answer questions referring to the text, vocalbulary, passive voice, reported speech. And then, finally, we had to write an essay (length: 250-280 words) about cellphones.

I walked out after one and a half hour.

Voltron 06-15-2005 06:16 AM

Hey, Anarky...wait. May the Force be with you...

Good luck, slugger. Knock 'em dead.

An essay about cell phones? What the hell?

zkarlette 06-15-2005 10:39 AM

Anarky I really hope you do great on your exams ,I wish you the best :) , and I hope you find your shoes its really weird that someone would steal them just like that, these people nowadays :ohwell:

Well yeah, we are given some subjects and then we have to write something about it, that's how essays work around here. And for this, we had like five subjects to choose of: Cellphones = very important, Cellphones = real pest, smoking should be banned in bars, and more of that kind.

Boring, eh?

Yeah it definitely is weird, especially since I live up on the 4th floor. So whoever took my shoes had to look for them. Actually, that really bugs me. Those were expensive and my mom bought them for me. Should I ever get that f***er, he can be considered history.

That's amazingly weird. You should totally hunt down whoever took the time to steal your shoes like that. Whoever stole them must have had less of a life than I do.

Well, yeah. Seems like those bastard teachers like to torture students.

And today was German. Rather funny. We had to write a text of at least two pages length and I wrote about "four years of WMS (my school) - a retroperspective" with about 17000 characters in the end.

What aspects did you talk about? (If you don't mind me asking)

ThirdMarioBro 06-16-2005 10:00 PM

Yeah, I'd kind of like to know that myself :D

What I learnt during these four years: you should always obey your superiors without questioning them (as if...), Logarithms
What I forgot: How to do a decent presentation, the whole ecology-stuff from the fifth semester
A "crime" I commited: Copying Wikipedia articles and making minor changes to them. I got a F for that.
The people I met: most of my "Punk-friends"
The people I lost sight of: A guy who used to come and play soccer with us
How I developped, emotionally: I became a cynic and very aggressive and the beat-em up-sessions I started to vent my anger
How I developped, mentally: started to observe things closer (reason unknown), politically more active
How I developped, body-wise: More soccer than ever, swordfighting
Some things I want to tell school: Initially I wanted to say "F*** you" but then decided to tell them that they should listen to the students
The highlight of 4 years: Two months Toronto
one the worst of 4 years: Some stupid subject with the title "Recent happening" focussing on "Samurai and Management"

That was it, four years summed up.

Okay, in three hours I have to get up, then I have my book keeping exam. I have no idea of half of the stuff that's ahead of me and I don't really have a talent when it comes to numbers.

People, I am nervous, I am tired and I have the intent to kill my bookkeeping teacher who messed up.

Either, I just say "What the hell...", go to bed and probably mess up my whole exam (not just the bookkeeping part, or I stay up and try to squeeze as much as possible into my head. I think I'll go for the latter...

I just want to sleep...
